Banfield Pet Hospital Rochester, Minnesota

I will never take my pets to Banfield ever again. I have been lied to time and time again on the costs of various services and what services can be preformed at what time. When scheduling my cat to be neutered, I was told he can get the rabies vaccine and the surgery in the same appointment. I asked again to confirm this was okay. I then show up to my appointment, and am told that he needs the rabies vaccine first and then needs to wait two weeks for the surgery. This means X2 vet visits, which cost $60 each alone, not including the treatment/surgery. When I asked how much to expect to pay for the surgery, or any other service, nobody ever seems to have a straight answer for me. I am told one thing on the phone or when dropping off my pet, but then when it comes time for the appointment or payments, I'm always told something different. I also don't feel as if my concerns are ever addressed, and when I expressed my disappointment to the desk people, nobody seemed to care about it. I will never be coming back to banfield and I plan to tell everyone I know with pets never to come here. I do not trust these people with my pets, and I don't think they care about their patients.

Brought my pet there in emergency situation and one staff member was very rude . especially when someone is being there pet in an emergency .then return to up my pet and they had issues with me pay by check even though there was plenty of of funds to pay for er visit . a lot of hassle not worth going . only reason was unable find a different vet .

I've been taking my dog here for quite some time and they always try to sell a lot more than I need, life style shots and so on. But they have been upfront about it. Today I was not paying attention to what they where selling me as I was dealing with a new puppy and my old dog, after saying I don't my dog checked for hart worm because I have her on a prevention they did the test and charged me they also charged me a team fee of $28.94 on top of Texas fee.im very dissatisfied!!

Several times while dropping off my pet or picking them up after being seen would be easy for the single person out front helping everyone to go to the back and ask for help. Waited 24 mins in line only to find out they didn’t have the prescription I needed even after calling prior to confirm it was available. Another customer beside me in line also had to wait for no medication available

They were great after we lost the dogs heart worm pill after my nephew to a fall and busted his lip open. They helped us get a new pill

I trust the staff with my pets! My boys always receive great treatment and the staff genuinely cares about you and your pets wellbeing. From the front desk to the veterinarian, fantastic people!

If you are considering taking your pet here, RUN away! Unorganized, unresponsive to complaints, our pet came out sicker than when she went in. Do not take your animal to this clinic.

Our dog was spayed at this visit. They were professional. The doctor called after the surgery and let me know how things went. After getting home, her recovery landed over the weekend. The medication they prescribed to keep her relaxed while heeling, was not working. (She is part Blue Heeler) I came to the realization that the dose of the medication on the bottle did not match the dose in the bottle. I had to call the "on-call" veterinarian over the weekend to get a clarification of the dosage. The "on-call" was from a different company, and did NOT have access to the records. It was a frustrating weekend, to say the least.

It was great at first and then they started charging us extra before it was even due each month saying it was late they are rude overall after a year we are switching.

These people love your dogs. Everyone with a pet should get a Banfield plan Excellent service and great value. !

First puppy visit today. Was not allowed to be with her, due to COVID precautions. This was hard on her and she vomited after she got back home. They did a nice job of trimming her nails. She received her vaccinations, lab tests , and flea/tick and Heartworm meds.

I have used Banfield for years. With all of our pets, and have always had a great experience. Due to weather we were 20 minutes late. I understand to always be on time for appointments, but what was unprofessional is not acknowledging the weather conditions at all. I then ask for pricing on the services, and the receptionist goes “I don’t know they vary.” You’re telling me you don’t know basic pricing? I ask again, and state other Banfields I have gone to can at least give a base pricing. She just says $30. I ask for other vet recommendations in the area and she says she doesn’t know and that’s it. I’ve always had great experiences with Banfield, this location is something to be lacking.

I own two pit bulls and they are big baby's but protective of their family we took them to the banfield. It was a great experience for us and them. The lady that worked the front desk was so nice and even took the time to get to know my dogs instead of automatically judging them. They loved her wish I could remember her name. But the service was great and their treatment was great.

My dog had surgery and I called the pet hospital and asked if they had a cone big enough for a great Pyrenees. They said they had some but cause the surgery wasn’t done by them they wouldn’t sell me one!!!! This place rather see an animal suffer then to help them... wow this place should be ashamed of themselves!!!!! Never going to take my animals here that’s for sure. They don’t even deserve one star in my opinion!!!!!

Always have provided excellent and quality care for my cats. When I lost one of my babies the team sent us a very heartfelt card upon news of her loss. Thank you so much.

Great people with my fur babies

Our dog Hagrid was suffering from complications following oral surgery with our regular vet. Hagrid was suffering from a bad infection and we were very worried about him. We brought him in to Banfield right as they opened. Even though it was a busy holiday and we did not have an appointment, Hagrid was seen by the vet and had received treatment within a few short hours.

There ok but this push a little hard to join the monthly program. Also charged me a full visit just to get my 6 month heartworm shot.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I brought my new puppy here for a wellness check required by the breeder within three days of picking up puppy only for this clinic to refuse to see my puppy. We had an appointment booked well over a month in advance and when my significant other brought the puppy in he was turned away. He was informed by staff that only the person on file who made the appointment could bring the puppy in, even though it’s the same person dropping off and picking up the puppy. Meanwhile, I’ve taken our other dog there and never been questioned about my identity or ownership of the dog. After telling the staff the importance of this appointment for our puppy’s health guarantee he was told “there’s nothing we can do for you”. Because I was at work unable to check my phone and bring in my new puppy he did not get the care he deserved that day. Luckily we were able to get an appointment with another clinic in town the next day. After explaining our frustration to the manager we were given no reasoning behind this policy and no empathy for our situation. This place doesn’t care about you or your pets. We will be bringing our doggos to a more caring veterinarian in the future who is flexible in allowing both you and your significant other to take your pets to appointments as needed.

Extremely disappointed, unprofessional, not friendly! Alyssa one of the customer service / greeter/ helps out in the back was very unprofessional as she was arguing with me about the needs of our pet, not being attentive. She wanted to charge us $19.99 to restrain our pet after our dog was given Trazodone, very bad experience. Dr. said they wouldn’t cut nails because he wouldn’t let them yet before he even went into the back to receive his shot and blood he was forced in as though he was going to the dog pound!! Beth whom took my money also was indirect, unfriendly as I seen we were a inconvenience due to grabbing her bag and clocking out for the day. I don’t like to give negative feedback/reviews but this experience was uncalled for, ???? Excellent customer service is a must especially if it concerns your loved one!

Waited way too long for general exam. Must drop off dog then wait for call. Did not here back for 6 hours. Went in to get pet anyway. Lots of excuses and rude treatment from attendent..never going back..
