The Cat's Meow Grooming & Suites Richfield, Minnesota

Ratchet was so much happier after her lion cut. Both she and I have a really hard time keeping up with her grooming, so we decided to bring her in. We will be back regularly to keep it up. She is so very cuddly now and purrs more. She is usually terrified of new people, but the staff must be cat whisperers because both times I’ve taken her in they said she did well. She won’t tolerate a bath, and I appreciate that they didn’t push her. We will be back every 4 months or so. :)

Outstanding experiences with both grooming and boarding. We have a high maintenance Norwegian forest cat and they make her look great every time. We completely trust them and recommend them for boarding as well because she always comes home in great shape (and glad to see us, which is not always the case!)

I recently adopted an older male cat that doesn't like other cats or most humans. The Cat's Meow did an excellent job boarding him. They didn't bat an eye at him hissing, and they knew to give him space. Also, a friendly orange cat greets you when you come in! (My cat hisses at him of course.) I'm pretty sure they groomed my cat free of charge the last time he stayed because he smelled like flowers when he came home. I have no idea how, but they are like cat whisperers. Can't recommend enough!

Very professional - the best at what they do!!!!

Boarded my big, floor, picky car... he came back super well brushed and HAPPY. Better than a catsitter, for sure. Only difficulty is that their grooming is a bit overcrowded and hard to book.

I can't recommend them enough, especially for boarding. It's always a scary thing to leave your loved ones in the care of others but we have used The Cat's Meow several times and we have been more than pleased every time. The staff is friendly and helpful and really care about your cat(s). Even when I called every day I was gone to check on my cats, the staff happily gave me an update - it really eased my mind knowing my cats were being taken care of. There is also a wide variety of sizes of spaces to board your cat, which is an added benefit. They also do great with nail trims and caps, thanks again!

The best cat grooming in Minnesota!

I can't say enough great things about this groomer. They take such good care of my elderly cat (18). Our initial visit he had some pretty bad matts on his tummy. All other groomers we asked, and even our vet, either tried and failed or wouldn't try at all. Cat's Meow took extra time to go slow and got them all out! I've also never dealt with an unpleasant staff member, which adds to my comfort leaving my pet in their hands. I would (and do) recommend them highly to everyone! They've got our business as long as we have cats.

Amazing cat grooming! The staff are always very friendly and helpful. They do an amazing job with my cat Sage who has a long thick coat and needs special deshedding treatments. She is always happier after she gets groomed here and her coat looks great! I love that everything is low stress too so she doesn’t get anxious. Love them!

They took great care of our kitty!

They will charge you without authorization.. I had waited 3 months to get my cat in and the day of they canceled my appointment but CHARGED ME. I did not agree to canceling to this appointment and should not have been charged. It’s clear that this is not a good place. My first experience with them and it was horrible.

I called the Cat's Meow to try and book my medium-haired cat a grooming appointment because he's shedding like crazy. The lady who answer was AWESOME! Unfortunately they aren't taking new clients right now but she gave me some great suggestions to at-home grooming for my little guy. I'll definitely be checking back with them in a bit to see if I can get him in. Super professional, kind, and helpful!

I've never been more impressed by how well they handle even the most anxious cats! I also LOVE the two (I think only two?) greeter cats they have that just hangout all day waiting for guests to love them.

The Cat’s Meow is a really wonderful place, and we’ve trusted them for both their grooming and boarding services. They’re small enough to really care about what they do, and love doing it. Their boarding has a number of options for the type of enclosure your cat will occupy, and they all get daily (individual) play time in the play room area. We’ve used their grooming services for basics such as bathing and nail trims, so can’t attest to their trims but lots of other positive reviewers can comment on that aspect. We’ll be coming here for a long time!

The whole team here are superior! I've been taking my kitty (Vampyra) here for over 2 years for both boarding and grooming and she just loves it! Comes back smelling good and relaxed! Shout out to Jenna - she's the best!!

Not taking any grooming appointments ????

One of the things I appreciated about Cat's Meow was the amount of information on their site, even about the kind of carrier they recommend, and why. Other places just didn't have that kind of helpful, relevant guidance. They also work with cats only, which speaks to the care they give to provide an environment that minimizes distress a cat might face in a mixed setting.

They're always helpful and welcoming! My cat would never let me brush her before she went here. Now she will jump on my lap and want brushed. I think that shows just how caring they are with your cat. Gracie also spent a couple of days with them, very pleased when I picked her up. Now if they would just open a dog grooming/boarding place...

This place was awesome. Nice staff, nice resident cats. Sprite looks and feels so much better after her tune with them!

Brought my cat here for a lions cut. We had asked the groomer to leave the body hair an inch to an inch and a half long. They agreed. Upon bringing the cat home the cut was NOT at all what we had agreed upon. My cat was nicked and shaved down to his skin. The legs were not cut even to each other. My cat who usually struts around the house now hides from the family as if he is traumatized. We asked for a refund but were denied and told that the groomer thought we would prefer the total shave. The owner then offered us a discount to come back but I refused after seeing how my cat was traumatized from the initial visit. After some unprofessional phone calls from both myself and the owner I am still refused a refund. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE!

Amazing Job!!! I wish I could give this team 20 stars. This was my kitty's first groom since we adopted her. With her shedding her winter coat she kept having issues with pooping on her fur since it is longer in the back. Not only did they help my kitty calm down (she was so nervous she peed her carrier) but they were able to complete the full bath, nails, and trim! Will be taking my kitty back in a few months to keep practicing and get her more confident and comfortable with the process. Not only does she smell great, but now shes all trimmed up so I dont have to be running after her trying to get clumps out. Also shes so silky soft now!

First and only place I'll take my cats. They go above and beyond! My boy looks and smells better than ever!

I love the cats meow! They took such great care of my little old lady Juno. They were professional and clearly committed to making it a great experience for my cat and myself. I felt very comfortable leaving her with them and she came back smelling great and shedding way less!
