I agree with the other reviews on the website. I have never had vet care like Gehrman Animal Hospital provided. Cassie says Merry Christmas you guys.

Dr. Katie is amazing! She is very thorough in her exams and takes the time to answer all questions. I live out of state now but the care at Gehrman is so great, I still bring my cat here. Very highly recommend!!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this vet clinic! I was a new client and they got my dog in the same morning I called. Wonderful staff all around, every person I interacted with was so helpful and kind. You can truly tell they all love animals here. My vet was so knowledgeable and listened to all of my concerns. The technicians were so sweet with my dog who is very timid, they did her examine on the floor with her because the movement of the table would have scared her. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I can't say enough good things about Gehrman Animal Hospital and Dr. Jenn. I was initially blown away by their willingness to fit my cat into their busy schedule. It was evident from my first interaction with them that they really care about the animals they see. Over a very short amount of time I had to follow up up quite frequently about my cat's care, and I was always met with quick responsiveness and compassion. Dr. Jenn spent so much time with me (and my cat, Nala), explaining everything she was seeing and providing thoughtful and thorough recommendations. She made me feel like Nala was her only patient, which is so greatly appreciated as a worried cat mom. And finally, when I had to make the incredibly heart-breaking decision that all pet parents dread, Dr. Jenn was with me- reassuring me that I was making the best decision for my pet. That decision is never easy, but Dr. Jenn made it easier with her confidence and compassionate explanation. She made me feel at ease with that decision and ultimately I will never be able to thank her enough for helping me to do something that took all my strength - but in my heart knew was the right thing to do. She was the perfect blend of comforting, yet confident. Dr. Jenn even wrote me a hand-written card that I read often, that again, reassures me that it was the right decision. Although it ultimately was a sad outcome, I am incredibly grateful to have found such a caring place to take my pets and recommend to others. Thank you, Gehrman Animal Hospital and Dr. Jenn.

Finally a vet that feels like part of the family

I have been taking my dog (then later, both of my dogs) to Gehrman since I moved to Minneapolis in 2016. I’m always impressed and grateful for their caring team. They truly go above and beyond for my dogs. Not only do they provide quality healthcare, they also make my dogs feel comfortable during the appointment, they ensure all of my questions are answered, and they often take the time to follow up. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for care for their pets.

We love Gehrman Animal Hospital. They've always been really good with our cats and dogs, especially Dr. Rob, and Dr. Ian. Dr. Rob saved our cat's life when he went into diabetic shock. Dr. Rob was great, he would call while he was at home to check up on him, and tried his best to help us keep cost down while still giving the most effective care possible. Dr Jenna was also very compassionate, when we had to make that impossible decision, to say goodbye to our cat. Can't recommend Gehrman's highly enough, if I could give 10 stars I would.

This is the only review you need to read! Long story short, my experience with Taylor, Tania, & Dr. Jen was phenomenal! Professional, transparent, & genuinely caring. This Clinic is definitely worth driving 15 miles out of my way. Great job!

Beat vet ever never a issues that can’t be fix! My dog loved it!

I have had 30 years of fantastic service for my various animals over the years with Dr Gehrman AND brother, Dr. Gehrman and all the fantastic vets that I have shared my animals with at this outstanding clinic! These are all caring and loving people who are excellent and outstanding in their field.

Dr Andrea is fantastic. My dog gets so nervous going to the vet and Dr Andrea is incredibly loving and caring. She even saw my dog and I walking one time and stopped to visit and introduce her daughter.

Called them this morning to let them know I am on the way to their office with our puppy because she is having breathing/coughing sessions (our puppy has been going there for vaccinations, checkups,...). The person that answered the phone told me not to and gave me the name of a different hospital in Golden Valley. When mentioned to her that I am nowhere near Golden Valley and our pet is their patient, she insisted. So, I called the other hospital only to find out they are actually closed. Called her back (all this while driving) to let her know she gave me wrong information which is very irresponsible considering the circumstances and ask if I should finally bring our puppy to their office or find a different vet. She gave me a lecture about how even if I take our puppy to their office, they will send her somewhere else and it would only cost more money. When I cut her off and asked “does it sound like I care about the cost right now?”, she suddenly put me on hold and never came back. They are good if you need your dog’s nails clipped or need vaccinations (which any other small vet office can provide these services too) but are certainly NOT an animal hospital, don’t care about the animals and their customers and won’t be there if their customers need them.

I had been shuffled around at two different vets. My cat was not using her litter box. Dr. Andrea came up with a tiered plan to help fix the issue. She listened to me and appreciated what I had to say. She took time out of her own day to call me. (She was done with work for the day, was driving home with her children and called to speak to me.) That is dedication! She didn’t rush me and allowed me to tell her my whole story. While it took about 20 minutes, I always felt as though she was interested and engaged in what I had to say. I also love the hours the hospital is open. I was at one vet where their last appointment was at 3:30. That’s pretty hard if you work outside the home. Another place was open a little later and had a drop off time between 9-11 AM. It was so hard for anyone who has to go somewhere for work. That’s right in the middle of the morning! Both of those places were difficult to get appointments. I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment at one place and six weeks for the other place. I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Andrea and Gehrman Animal Hospital. Dr. Andrea is a dedicated, concerned and competent veterinarian. My cat has already seen improvement since our first visit.

We took our 9 year-old Saint Bernard, an abused rescue dog, to them for the first time this week. These people are fantastic. The tech and Dr. Ian listened to and understood our dog's special behavior due to his past and treated him with so much care. After going to the same clinic for 27 years we were a bit skeptical, but without question will continue to take our pets to Gehrman. Larry & Karen Regelin and St. Bernard "Boo" P/s - The bill was about half as much as I thought it would be.

Very professional and very, very nice/personable. 10/10 would recommend.

i have been going to see dr. chuck, off & on, since i was a child with my parents and our family pets. it's a family tradition--my dad & his family took their pets to see gehrman sr. when HE was growing up! now i bring mine. recently, i saw dr. ian when i brought a teensy tiny kitten who was crashing. from the friendly voice who scheduled my appointment & then greeted me when i got there, to all the staff who met my baby kitty on her road to recovery, i was embraced with caring concern, open ears, eyes, and hearts to the health & well-being of this little, fragile animal, and perfect professionalism. the experience gave me hope & faith that she would pull through--and she did! i felt like they performed a miracle! p.s. this is not the first time the clinic has done this--years ago, they saved my dad's dog, too.

I started going here because my aunt and cousin recommended it for me, and my cat has been seeing Dr. Jen since! I honestly don't want to go to anyone else, Dr. Jen is great with Bellatrix, and really great to talk to and she gives me clear details on how to help me take the best care of my cat! Highly recommend, they're the best!

I love the folks at Gehrman. I’ve seen several different vets and I always feel like my dog is in great hands. Dr. Andrea has been our main vet for 6 years and she’s seen us though quite a few different scenarios.

So glad they were able to take my dog last minute for a bad GI issue. Any vet could probably take good care of common issues with our pets, but I believe what sets Gehrman apart from other places is their genuine concern over the wellbeing of your pet. I got many different emails and phone calls after my visit checking in to see how my dog was feeling, and that was just a bit of the special touch that made this a great experience!
