Its really difficult to get a hold of the phone number thats posted on their website. I reached out to Dana. She said to call, text or email her if theres anything she could help with; But its been about 3 weeks and I still havent gotten a confirmation about anything. Waste of time. You would think if they were serious about their business, or if they are booked; They could have communicated that. No call back, no voicemail, no text, not an email. I've tried my part. Hopefully the business dont waste anyone elses time either.

I worked with Freddie at Your Dog's Best Friend and could not be happier. When playing my dog bit too frequently and too hard, pulled very hard on walks, and barked too much at people and dogs on walks. Freddie showed me the basis of my dogs issues and showed me how to help my dog improve her behavior. Freddie's training provided a night and day difference. I also feel like everything Freddie taught me will help me with every other dog I will have in my life.

So far we've had two private training sessions with Dustin which have been instrumental in helping our dog Milo who's struggled with aggression towards other dogs. My husband and I have learned so much from Dustin and are just amazed at his ability to connect with dogs and how much change you can see in just a few sessions. We've been singing his praises to our family, friends and co-workers with the work he's done with our dogs already. I highly recommend the private training sessions with Dustin and will say the investment is so worth it.

My husband and I learned so much from Dustin. We have three dogs. A Pekingese who is 12 years old ( very crabby boy by nature), a terrier breed who is 6 years old with anxiety and a 3 month old Mountain Cure mix. He came to our home. We are working on patience, respectfulness and having good manners. We saw changes in the dogs behaviors right away. Dustin was great and taught techniques on how to be a good dog parents. We are excited for our next session.

After trying multiple trainers over the years for my dog's reactivity and other behavioral issues, I finally found Freddie. He used a different method than any other trainer I've encountered, and I saw a huge improvement in my pup almost immediately. We had three sessions, and Freddie was professional, reliable, and so understanding of my dog's behavior for each and every session. For the first time in years, I feel like I can relate to my dog and help guide him in the right direction. I can't say enough good things about Freddie.

Couldn't agree more with other reviewers that Freddie is amazing! Truly a Zen dog whisperer. Freddie is patient and takes the time to explain the psychology behind dog behavior which has allowed me to not only change behavior in my dog that was problematic, but has also led to a stronger bond with him.

We contacted YDBF because our dog was not socialized correctly as a puppy and as a result he is a huge ball of energy that targets anything in his path! He’s a 60 lbs pittie so not everyone appreciates it! We’ve had 3 training sessions with Freddie and have already started seeing results! Freddie has been able to explain, in depth, why our dog is acting a certain way and what we can do to support him in making better decisions. It has been such a relief working with Freddie, as we have worked with 3 previous dog trainers who basically gave up on our dog. We now have the skills to make sure our dog is in a calm place before introducing him to new people and playing with him and have such a better bond with him!

Please take your dog here, and if possible see Max. I just learned so many things that are going to help my dog and I. I went for a training, but they do kennel free boarding and daycare as well. I can not recommend them enough! ❤️

I have been working with in-home training sessions with Freddie for only two sessions so far and the results have been INCREDIBLE!!! My dog was experiencing leash reactivity and Freddie really made me understand the psychology of why my dog does the things he does and what I can do to help him. The training is life changing and has helped me and my pups build a much stronger bond than ever before. I feel so confident walking my dog now even after just two sessions. Freddie really understands dogs and the connections they have to humans and other dogs. It's really eye-opening. Highly recommend Freddie!

My fiancee and I reached out to YDBF due to stranger aggression and leash reactivity for our rescue pitbull mix, Tucker. We had spent hundreds on classes and working with another private trainer, who told us that he could not be helped and that he would just always be the "type of dog who couldn't be around people". We were devastated with the idea that our dog could never interact with family members, go on trips with us, and just be the normal happy dog he was with us around other people. After reaching out to YDBF for a second opinion, we were matched with Freddie. Just based on our initial consultation of Tucker's issues, he was confident he could help us - and he was right! Even after the first session, Freddie was able to explain to us why Tucker was reacting the way he was and gave us exercises and methods to try on walks with him to help start making progress. After several sessions at our home, Freddie recommended a session at their training center to have a more neutral setting. Max joined on that session and Freddie and him gave us some additional exercises and helped work through some blocks we were having with Tucker's progress. After that final session with Freddie and Max, it is like we have a whole new dog! We went from a dog who would lunge/growl at every person or dog that came anywhere near us to a dog who we can now take on hikes, walk in busy downtown areas, and eat on patios with. Freddie and Max really have an amazing insight into how a dog is feeling and why the dog is acting the way they are, which is a game changer with changing a dog's behavior. If you are having issues communicating with your dog or have any aggression/reactivity issues that other trainers haven't been able to help with, would completely recommend YDBF!

Frank and I had 2 private trainings with Freddie, and we both learned so much!!! We reached out because Frank didn’t always have the best leash manners— he couldn’t nail down his leashed greetings. Always lunging/barking/or laying down and NOT moving/listening to me. We learned so much about how to practice openness, how to work on our timing, and most importantly what I’m communicating to him by pulling on the leash (hint- it wasn’t helping????). After just 1 walk with Freddie frank was doing SO much better. I would recommend Freddie to anyone. He is personable and takes great care in our pets. Thank you!!

Our mini Aussie is sweet and caring. However he has been nipping people in the yard and at the door. This was very distressing to us. Freddie came out to our home and we were both amazed. His professionalism and understanding of dog behavior is top notch. He really helped us understand why our sweet loving dog was having such a hard time. After one session and implementing the games he suggested our dogs behavior change was very impressive. He became more responsive to us and is way more calm. After the second session he was calm and relaxed around strangers he didn’t know. With one snap of our fingers he is attentively looking at us for further instructions. I have recommended him to a few friends now. Freddie taught us so much we are customers for life.

Great class for our puppy, they teach a program to guide your puppy like his dog mother would teach. Much better for social skills and mental activity for puppies.

I reached out to YDBF and was connected with Freddie. We adopted our adult dog and noticed some issues that looked like separation anxiety. We knew we wanted to invest in making sure she was comfortable and not stressed. Freddie was incredible! He took the time to get to know our dog and our family to best approach our situation. We did two sessions and our dog has been so much more confident. I love that she still wants to snuggle and be around us but can also be left home alone and entertain herself. I would recommend Freddie and YDBF to anyone!

Freddie is amazing! We have a large 8 month old boxer puppy (Ruby) with a ton of energy. Freddie came to our house on two separate occasions to train our dog (and us). I have seen so much improvement in 2 weeks. Freddie is very responsive and asked a lot of questions up front before he came out to our house. He clearly loves dogs and was able to teach us how to communicate with our puppy. Today we walked Ruby around the neighborhood on a leash with hardly any pulling or tugging. I didn’t even think that was possible! Freddie is also helping us address our pups counter surfing and her desire to invade personal space (especially with our 4 year old). I thought this training process would take months but I have seen a significant improvement in 2 short weeks. Freddie, thanks again for all your help.

Did some Private Lessons with Freddie. He helped me communicate with my 9 month old puppy that would bite me all the time! My puppy and new dog now both play gently. The training has helped with things I didn't even expect. They are becoming such angels now the more I practice the skills Freddie taught. Highly recommend Freddie for lessons and the practices of YDBF are amazing.

Wow! We got a second dog and the introduction with our first dog did not go well at all. So we reached out to YDBF and they were able to schedule a call and a home visit within a week! Freddie, our trainer, was able to almost completely diagnose the problem over the phone! He is so knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and nice, I really cant say enough good things about him. I always thought in home visits were too expensive and wouldnt be that worth it, but honestly, I had my dog, Cooper, for over 7 years and he's never been more calm. He changed after just one visit. We scheduled a second visit and went for a walk and it was just amazing to see how much growth both of our dogs have gone through in just such a short amount of time. I feel as though Freddie is a dog behavior expert and taught us enough to de-escalate the situation before it ever becomes a problem. We finally have a peaceful household with both dogs and we're confident that our pack will be a calm, happy, and friendly one. I highly HIGHLY recommend Freddie for all your dog training needs. He is just incredible. He's extremely punctual, reliable, and definitely both of our dog's best friend :). THANK YOU SO MUCH, FREDDIE!

We had very troubling housemate issues between our two dogs and so we had an in home session with Neil. Please, PLEASE read and listen to the other bad reviews. Neil came to our home, told us some stuff, SEEMED to care about our dogs, got our money and we never heard from him again!! Even after phone calls and voicemails and emails. This place is a joke. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS.

I worked with Freddie for three sessions of private training with my newly adopted 1-year-old border collie/black lab mix. We were struggling with a lot of fear, reactivity, and aggression, especially towards other dogs and new people. Freddie provided tangible skills to work on as well as "in-the-field" training (e.g., going on walks to practice skills). Compassionate, dog-centered training.

I reached out to YDBF after inheriting a large untrained dog. My dog came to us a farm dog, with no idea of how to fit into life as a house pet and because he was older (and big) I had no idea how to train him. Freddie worked with us in a couple private training sessions. His insight in how to relate to dogs was an amazing help. With each session, he gave training homework. It was through spending time doing this that gave my dog a successful outcome.

I'm writing this the night of the 4th of July. Fireworks are going off all around us. My pups are curled up in bed going in and out of sleep while I watch TV. In years past, tonight would have meant hiding out in the quietest room in the house, desperately trying to calm whining and pacing dogs without a moment of peace. We started training earlier this year and it has made all the difference. Originally we sought help for inappropriate guarding behaviors, and the help has translated into all areas of our lives. The trainers go by "Dog Relater" and it is a well earned title. I understand my dogs so much better after working with Freddie, and I say that as a lifelong dog owner. The techniques used and the explanations provided left me better able to communicate with them. I'm very thankful for their help and the improved relationships between pet and owner that my home has developed as a result.

I have used YDBF for both of my dogs (the first one being now 5 and our new puppy). This training approach is different than most other training approaches new owners learn. However, I think that this approach is the only approach that should be taught when training dogs. We’ve had a fantastic experience with Neil with both of our dogs and he’s taller so much about relationships behaviors and dog perspectives. I really loved that they come in to train the humans and work on your relationship with the dog rather than just coming in and showing you some tricks. I always recommend your dogs best friend and the dog wellness club to all of the dog owners I know.

We fully credit Max with us keeping our sanity, and our dog’s continuous improvements. These folks know their stuff. IT IS WORTH IT. Give them a call! Several months ago we adopted a rescue who, unbeknownst to us at the time, has reactivity in certain situations. Max has shown us skills, and has provided us with the confidence and “human training” we needed to control and grow with our pup. I cannot adequately express our gratitude. We found out our new pup was set to be euthanized at a kill shelter around 6 months ago, before coming to MN from Texas. We were at times lost and confused when we first got him and had to begin voicing the “what if’s” about his reactivity- what if he won’t stop lunging at strangers, what if we can’t work with him on this, what if we need to rehome him (even though we adore him and would never want to do so). Max is not only a super nice and easygoing guy (he’s great to spend time with- and our dog loves him!), he also has been one of the key factors in us having a successful and productive relationship with our pup. He knows his stuff. I genuinely do not know what we would have done if we hadn’t booked our initial session with Max. We love our pup endlessly, and now we better understand him and feel more able to support him in his needs. We will continue to book sessions with Max while we work through training, and with any future pups we may add to the family. There has been no better feeling than watching our pup learn, gain trust in us, and show his wonderful personality to the world. We have Max to thank. Don’t hesitate to give them a call.

We reached out to YDBF because our dog is scared to go out the door for a walk. We also needed help with loose leash walking . In the past we have tried obedience class but this is different. Neil showed us how to understand our dog’s body language so that we can effectively communicate with him. This one session was pretty much the key to overcoming the multiple challenges we had. It was fun and now I can’t even believe what a difference it made. We can all happily and calmly go out for walks. Neil was also responsive to questions I had after our session and he called later to follow up. It was well worth it and I would recommend this to others. Thanks again Neil!
