The doctor and techs here ACTUALLY listen to us, and they make us and our pets feel safe and healthy. Without MLV, Cotton and Chamomile wouldn't be the adorable pets they are today.

Michelle and Lindsey are the best. I trust them entirely with the health of my dog. I used to live close to the clinic, but moved to the burbs. I continue to bring my dog to them. My dog absolutely loves them and I’ve never found their prices to be unreasonable. Highly recommended.

Wow! I just left my first appointment with Modern Love and I am so impressed. Nash is a very timid Red Heeler who usually leaves encounters with new people shaky and nervous. Not this time! He ran out of the appointment happy and excited. That has NEVER happened before. I think we found our forever vet. Thank you!

Modern love is a wonderful veterinary clinic! They are so caring and thorough. We had a emergency scare with our dog this past year and they really helped us through it and made sure that he had the best care. They checked in on him many times and were great about answering all of our questions. My cat had an irritation recently and they could not get her in. They referred us to another clinic that was affordable. I was able to get my cat in the same day. I trust this vet and recommend them highly!

The staff here are phenomenal. They are extremely helpful and responsive. I have no problems bringing my dog here and highly recommend it!

I recently moved to the area and procrastinated setting up an appointment for my dog because the vet he had for most of his life was amazing, and I've had a few experiences since where I felt the clinic didn't "get" me or my dog. I bit the bullet and set up an appointment here, after reading really good reviews. The office is so trendy that I thought maybe my rescue mutt would seem out of place, but Dr. Michelle was very down-to-earth and listened to my concerns as if they were her own. I saw another review stating the prices were outrageous. I went to the ~fancy~ vet in a college town in Iowa and the prices are on par with that, despite the expensive location/modern technology/wage differences. The prices were actually lower than I thought they would be. The staff were super friendly and I'm glad to have taken my dog here. They do their best to make sure the dog is comfortable and your dog can definitely discern the difference in atmosphere.

Everyone there has a great love for animals. I'm very happy with their service.

A few years ago, I was sad to learn that my dog and cat's regular vet (from a larger, also wonderful clinic), Dr. Donald, had moved out of state. Last year, when we adopted a second dog, who is extremely fearful, I specifically chose Modern Love because it is Fear Free certified. Imagine my delight when I learned that Dr. Donald had returned and this is her practice!!! She is so good with my pets and will give an honest recommendation based on what she thinks is in the best interest of your animal - over what is in the best interest of her pocketbook. I will happily drive from Bloomington to come here!

Dr. Donald has been my pet's vet for the last 2 years now and she has been great. I have always felt like she goes above and beyond to answer all my questions. The staff is also very friendly! When we lived in the area we would stop in just to say hi (and to get my dog a treat!). I have moved recently so I am just hoping to vet experience as similar to Modern Love as possible.

My dog is not a patient at this clinic...yet. :) . I had called this place since the clinic I do bring my dog to was closed. I had a general question regarding symptoms a dog may have after getting a few shots. My dog was not feeling the greatest. While they could not comment on my dogs health, they did take the time to provide great info on side affects a dog may experience after their vaccinations. I really appreciated this. This place was friendly, patient and took the time to chat with me. Thank you. I will be looking into bringing my dog to this clinic.

Absolutely terrible. Cancelled a spay appointment TWICE after being scheduled two months ahead of time.

Per my more in depth review, Dr. Michelle Donald and her staff are so absolutely wonderful and make every effort to see our pooch even when things are booked up.

I was so excited when they moved into the North Loop within walking distance of my home. But unfortunately, I have experienced low quality care on two occasions now. The first was a couple years ago, when they didn’t really know how to diagnose an acute stomach problem with my dog. The second was today when I called to schedule another urgent care-like appointment for my dog’s swollen and irritated paw pads. After I asked for available appointments and described the problem, they told me they would call back after they checked the schedule. That was the first weird part. I waited for a half an hour and no call, so I called back. The woman said that they were “pretty booked” but asked me to send them a picture and after they looked at it, then one of their doctors might be able to see my dog that day. I asked for clarification, “So you do have availability today?” And the response was just a repeat of the same question to send a picture first. I got the impression that they were uncertain if they could diagnose the issue, so I went to the UofM Veterinary Urgent Care instead. I’m glad I didn’t actually go and spend money on something they wouldn’t know how to treat, but it’s nevertheless disappointing that they can’t really handle anything but for regular check-up and vaccine appointments.

Went in for a meet and greet with Dr. Michelle Donald. Her staff was cheerful and the space was clean. Dr. Donald is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I will be at ease bringing my new puppy here.

If you want to pay higher rates on just about everything you can think of, come here! They don’t offer much advice on anything and have poor customer service skills.

We brought our puppy to Dr. Michelle this week and were blown away at how great she was. It's very obvious how passionate she is for animals and are so happy she is our vet. And a bonus to having a great vet is we get to visit a beautiful space in the North Loop!

i was able to make a same day appointment for my 11 week old kitten who was treated for an ear infection/mites. considering the neighborhood, i was very surprised by how reasonable the prices are. the whole staff treated him like a celebrity and he was so relaxed he fell asleep on the exam table! all of my questions were answered and they relieved tons of my anxiety as a first time pet mom! he was back to his silly energized self again within a few hours. everybody here loves what they do and it shows!

I've been bringing my dogs to Dr. Michelle and team for a couple of years now, and we adore them! Dr. Michelle is both extremely empathetic and no nonsense. I love her communication approach and her (and her whole team's) passion. Both of my dogs struggle with some dog reactivity, but they set up appointments so you have hardly any time in the lobby to avoid this stress. Highly recommended all around!

Highly recommend. Very attentive staff that very obviously seem to enjoy what they do. Clean, quick service, at what I felt were reasonable prices. Nothing felt pushy or rushed, this is the real deal.

Highly recommend Modern Love Veterinary. I brought my dog here after being unsatisfied with our previous clinic, and Dr. Michelle and her staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to my concerns. She is so down to earth and took the time to examine and educate me on the options when addressing a concern with my dog's infected paw. On top of it all, their office space is also very nice and clean. Will definitely be back!

Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place has been for me. They go above and beyond for my fur babies. I highly recommend.
