The expert care my pets receive at Heritage Animal Hospital is excellent. Everything is done with a smile (even while masked...you can hear the smile). Whether it was dealing compassionately with an aging pet and helping us make difficult decisions to put the pet to sleep, celebrating the acquisition of a new pet, walking through an unexpected pet pregnancy and answering all the questions, responding to a pet emergency, delighting in the birth of kittens, and more...we've done it all at Heritage Animal Hospital, and they have been wonderful. I highly recommend this place!

We have been taking our dog here for 12 years. The veterinarians and techs always go out of their way to care for our dog, whether a routine appointment or unforeseen emergency. They have managed the current difficult situation very well, always responsive and thorough.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The vet has been really great to work with.My chinchilla has been there for a wellness exam and a follow up for an eye infection And she has done a great job in caring for her.

This is not a pet “hospital” if you need an appointment to be seen you are not a hospital. Unfriendly staff. Also- as a place who “provides” treatment for animals your employees should know exactly where the nearest actual pet hospital is.

Experience at my dog's visits were fine. Hopefully they'll adapt to our anger about how they operate vaccines. We had to find a new vet in plymouth and chose this one do to its location. They updated his vaccines and scheduled a teeth cleaning that all went well. Then we get a call about updating his vaccines just 6 months later. Our old vet did everything at one visit and he was good for an entire year. Apparently they use an intranasal bordatella that lasts 6 months and expire their stool sample tests at 6 months as well. I 100% believe they do this to charge another visit fee. None of this was communicated with us and now we have to scramble and find a vet that will update his vaccines. When I went in to find out why his records were updated the clerk was dismissive and didn't seem to care that we had to come back and pay more fees to keep him up to date.

We boarded our cat here while we were on vacation and she happened to pass away unexpectedly and the Dr.'s and staff went above and beyond to comfort our family and help us through such a difficult time with kindness and compassion.

After calling around for our 3 month old puppy. They let me come in and saved me hundreds of dollars versus going to emergency care. Thanks Heritage!!!! Your the best

Went in for an initial visit. Was told that the cat seemed quite healthy. When I inquired about her preexisting condition that was contained in the previous records I shared the vet was unaware as she had not read them. Seemed quite unprofessional and rude when asserting her position on care.

This is, by far, a top-notch place to take your pet. We had made a very difficult decision that it was time to put our aged dog to sleep. Our veterinary clinic couldn't accommodate us for several days, so we started calling around. Heritage staff were so sympathetic &, even though they had a full schedule & we were not established patients at their clinic, they fit us in within 24 hours. Upon arriving & during the consultation they were so compassionate & caring & treated our "Sophie" like the special dog that she was. Four days later we received a card in the mail from them which was signed with personal notes from every member of the hospital staff. That is above & beyond what we, as grieving parents, expected; but it was certainly appreciated. This is now going to be our family's pet clinic. Special thanks to Beth & Dr. Digirolama for your kindness & personal care.

They are animal lovers and it shows in how much care and love they give our pets. I rarely give 5 stars for anything, and Heritage Animal Hospital earns them every day. I recommend this place to newcomers if they want a place that really cares about their pets and knows what they are doing.

The Vet techs are super professional, nice and kept me very informed on my cat. The front desk crew.... not so much. I heard people telling the front desk lady to tell me “they had an emergency surgery” as that was the reason I was waiting for 20 minutes to be seen and then was ignored until the vet tech came out and explained everything I needed to know. I would totally understand if that was true and would have been notified to reschedule the appointment for my other cat. If that was a lie, not so good to talk loud enough for people in the lobby to hear it. I had an appointment for 7:45am for a surgery on one cat and the front staff was rude then, and also rude at 5:15pm when I had another appointment for another animal and was to pick up my cat from surgery. This is already a stressful place for animals, why make it stressful for their owners? I’m not going back ever as this isn’t the first time it’s been unpleasant to go here, this was just the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. I’ve already scheduled with another vet for my cat’s 2 week surgery check up.

My sweet pup was showing some pretty scary signs of illness. In a panic I called all of the vet clinics (after being denied by our regular vet) in the area and Heritage was the only one to make room for us! It was a very stressful and scary to say the least but the way we were cared for set my nerves at ease. Michelle, the CVT, explained what to expect from the visit. After leaving him in their care Dr. Alger explained his diagnosis. Two weeks later Guapo is back to his normal self and he got a Get Well card in the mail signed by the staff! It's truly the little things! This was the best outcome for a scary day and I so grateful that they were able to squeeze us in. Thanks again for the wonderful care! -Patty & Guapo

I tried this vet a few times...its just not a fit for my family. With a few exceptions the front desk crew seems stressed and hurried. At one time the vet they assigned to me was allergic to my breed of cat and positively rude. Three times was not a charm in this case...I hope they work at improving!

Rude staff. Not compassionate at all. They made me feel rushed throughout the entire appointment like they just wanted to get me out of the door. Definitely not going back. I was very uncomfortable.

Switched from VCA because it could take up to a week to get a sick dog in. Heritage got us in the same day, gave a different prescription, which made a huge difference. They actually care about your pet. Not owned by big corporate. Good fit for own family and community.

We are new to the Plymouth/MG area and we’re still seeing our vet in Edina. Our dog, Dominic, stopped eating and appeared to have pain around his jaw area. His normal vet in Edina was fully booked and so were a few other places we called. When we called heritage, they said they were booked but it really sounded like Dominic needed to be seen so they found time to see him. I was so grateful. Luckily it was just a little jaw pain that was causing him discomfort, but I’ll forever be thankful they took him in. We will definitely be back!
