Puppy Play and Stay Lakeville, Minnesota

Our pup has been going to Puppy Play and Stay since we got him. First it was for Puppypalooza so he could be socialized, then it was daycare when we had to head back to work/school. He has also boarded there. He is always excited to come and when we watch him on the cameras he is having fun. He is well cared for and loved when he is there. We have been very happy with his care there. We would recommend PPS without hesitation.

I can’t say enough good things about PP&S. The facility, staff, and experience are far superior to that of their competitors, bar none. My husband and I are obsessed with our dogs, so finding a quality daycare was a must. Not only is the PP&S staff incredibly kind, they are also one hundred percent invested in your pup’s wellbeing and take great care to ensure a safe and happy environment. The Orientation Day report and daily daycare report cards are extremely insightful, and probably the sweetest things you’ll ever see. For those with new puppies that are too young for daycare, PP&S offers Puppypalooza (epic), which is four hours of exclusive puppy playtime on Sundays. We’ve taken our golden retriever puppy, Scarlett, a few times and she absolutely loves it. Bottom line, not only has the PP&S experience had a positive impact on our dogs, my husband and I can finally breathe easy knowing they’re in good hands when we’re away. For this we are extremely grateful :)

The staff always provides outstanding customer service and I can tell they genuinely love the work they do. Our dog absolutely loves every minute she’s at Puppy Play and Stay!

Update: after bringing them here as a 2nd option when my 1st is unavailable. I've come to realize they charge you for every little thing. Apparently they charge you if they have have to separate your dogs food even if they free feed. I was told I wouldn't be charged but they tried to add it on anyways. Also, if you are boarding and pick them it past noon the day of pick up you will be charged a half day of daycare and if you pick them up closer to closing they will charge you a full day. Never have I been charged daycare during a boarding stay just because I picked them up later in the day and this was for only 1 night. I was quoted 1 price at the time of drop off and it rose 50 bucks over night. I just feel like this is bad practice. So far I'm happy with my experience. My pups had their free orientation and came home tired and happy. They were able to administer my dogs eye drops free of charge. The Webcams are great quality compared to some other boarding facilities I've experienced. It appears that they really took the time to get to know my dogs personalities. I highly recommend them for your boarding and daycare needs.

My pup had a great day! They knew how to handle his anxiety to allow him time to warm up to the new people, dogs, and environment. He made a new pup friend and had a wonderful time. I’m signing him up for more visits now.

I appreciate everything Puppy Play & Stay is doing to keep pets and owners as safe as possible. I think our very social pup is going to love boarding here.

We were so thrilled to find Puppy Play and Stay! We were nervous about boarding our dog for the first time. The staff was so friendly and kind! Our dog had a wonderful orientation day. In addition to an update call mid-day, we even got an adorable certificate telling us how he did. We were able to book his stay after orientation and couldn’t be happier. Thank you Puppy Play and Stay for making our doggo feel so welcome!

Zoe had her orientation today, and we are always nervous “pawrents” dropping her off someplace new as Zoe has a bit of anxiety. The staff were kind and professional from the moment we dropped her off, and we’re willing to listen to all our concerns and walk us through what her day was going to look like. She had a great day playing with her new friends, and she will look forward to going back and her “pawrents” will feel comfortable dropping her off in good hands!

October 2020 Our almost 5 month old Golden puppy, Brandy, spent a few hours at Puppy Play and Stay for orientation and socialization with the other pups. The staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Their procedures are definitely COVID safe as you can view the activity via password protected webcam. This is a perfect setting for our pup and we can choose a 1/2 day option. They provide grooming services as well! I have purchased a package available to reduce cost. May 2021 The above review was written several months ago however I’ve continued to use their services and agree with the 5 stars. Our now 1 year old Golden Retriever just spent 5 nights boarded at Puppy Play and Stay. I love being able to check in on her with their webcams including the suite she slept in. I suggest the suite webcam option be expanded if possible although it does add cost for the customer. The staff are attentive and caring. They provided report cards describing Brandy’s interaction with other pups and the staff. She was also provided Enrichment Activities (at extra cost) and was groomed before I picked her up. I highly recommend! July 2021 Brandy continues to attend day care services and grooming at Puppy Play and Stay. I can view her activity on a webcam. Staff are always attentive and responsive with any questions or requests regarding the add on options. I plan on boarding her again for a week in September. Highly recommend!

I have a 110lb. Pitbull named Bando and by the looks of him can be pretty intimidating to some people. (He’s a big baby by the way). They took him in with no hesitation whatsoever. He doesn’t do well with other male pups though (wants to be the dominant one) and they have a really neat set up so that he is not face to face with another male pup and still able to offer him good one on one time with going to an outside area and inside where he has his own space to himself. All of the staff that I have been in contact with are very friendly, upbeat and just ready to serve the pups!

The staff is friendly, the common areas are clean and my pet doesn’t mind going to stay. The website is wonky; won’t let you schedule add-ons with the boarding; even though it looks like it should, they don’t save reliably. The pricing is high, I think, especially the add-ons like baths. The one thing I really, really object to is the new requirement to bag your pet’s meals separately or they charge extra per day. I mean, it doesn’t seem so hard to scoop some food out of a large ziploc. And if I’m bagging separately for a week I’m using a LOT of plastic and probably spending the same on ziploc bags as the upcharge. It’s less the $2 than the feeling of being nickel and dimed AND paying $45 per night for boarding. Feels like being taken advantage of now that they’ve got the market set.

Love the webcam!! Always love watching how well the dogs interact and how well the staff interact with our dogs !!

They are not very good at easing a pup parent's mind during the orientation process or accommodating small requests. I'm not sure why we are unable to utilize the webcam function during orientation -- it's one of the reasons we chose this place as we saw some unfortunate behavior at a previous daycare which put me on alert. There is no reason to not be able to see how staff are interacting with the dogs. Called to add in a treat for my dog since she is being required to spend time in a kennel for 2 hours during orientation (this information was not provided prior to arrival). Initially was told no problem, then they called to say they can't since it's orientation day for her and could cause her stomach upset. My dog has been going to daycare without issue since she was a small pup. I know her well enough to know her stomach will manage a peanut butter kong just fine. When I got upset the staff member hung the phone up on me. Perhaps if you'd not previously had a bad experience at a daycare these things wouldn't even matter but for someone who has, these are not things that make me feel confident about leaving my pooch in their care.

The staff are really friendly and it is obvious that they love dogs and their job. They do a great job wearing out my puppy and she loves it there.

The staff was so awesome with our little guy and made him feel so comfortable!!!

My pup Kylo went for the first time yesterday and he loved it so much he slept in till 8am this morning! His cousin Willow goes there so I knew Puppy Play and Stay would be the place for Kylo. He made so many friends and he is giving me the husky sass telling me to bring him again!

Our pup likes going to PP&S, and the crew is always so friendly there.

My dog Roxy loves going to Puppy Play and Stay. She is excited to see the staff when we arrive and makes new friends each time. The staff is professional and the price is reasonable.

Was very hesitant to take my Pitbull to a boarding facility but the staff was absolutely amazing. They immediately took to Pepper (my dog) and made her feel as if she were at home. They explained the entire process and made sure to provide me with updates. Would definitely recommend.

We’ve been taking our puppy here since she was very small to help with socialization and to burn some energy. She loves it!! We were nervous as she is a very small dog but she does so well! All the employees are always so energetic and friendly and my pup loves to see them. They also do her nail trims here which is super convenient. We’ve also left her here for long weekends and never had a single issue. I highly recommend for daycare and boarding!

Everyone I have spoken with on the phone or interacted with personally when dropping off or picking up my puppy has been very professional and friendly. She loves being there, if it’s a half day or overnight. I know she is safe and happy.

I’ve got two black labs, Pancho and Nacho, who get soooo excited to come to Puppy Play and Stay! They usually come once a week. They’ve been coming here since they were about ten months old. Staff are wonderful! I feel totally good leaving them here to play (or Nacho) likes to hang around and be a watcher. I only have the utmost compliments for how the staff interact with me and the caring for my pets. It shows because my pups love coming here. The de-shedding for both of them was awesome! They were so soft and my house isn’t full of hair. Such a great, professional job! They’ve got the pup cam so there’s no secrets how your pup is enjoying the day. I only have good things to say about this company and I highly recommend it. When I get the chance, I always recommend it to others. We are so lucky to have a safe, wonderful place for our pup to play and/or stay over night.

We’ve been going to PP&S for a year now. I can’t say enough good things. Friendly staff. Very responsive and helpful. I enjoy the webcam feature so I can check on my puppy. I happen to be watching the webcam when I knew my husband was almost there to pick her up. When it was time for her to go, I saw the staff person bend down to her and give her a hug goodbye and a good pet. So sweet! They really do love your dog!

Our girls love it at Puppy Plsy snd Stay….. the doggie daycare, obedience training and the experiences with their groomer make it easy to give them 5 stars…… our girls love it there!!!!

Our puppy Ollie has been going to puppy play & stay for a few months and to say he loves it there would be an understatement! Every morning he begs my husband to take him. When he shows up the staff are always excited to see him, which makes me feel comfortable leaving him there to play! I can tell the staff love their job and the fur babies that come to see them. The facility is always very clean, which i appreciate as well!

We have taken our Pup, Milo, to PPS ever since he was “old enough” to go. We can’t be more pleased with the experience, now 7 months later. The entire staff is incredible. You can tell they love all of the dogs and we can tell Milo loves it too because he is always soooo excited to go back and play with all of his friends. The facility is well maintained by the staff and we have no reservations about leaving him there. Kudos to all of the wonderful staff and thanks for making our Pup so very welcomed and loved.

I've been bringing Harley and Thor to PP&S for a few months and they absolutely love it. When they figure out where I'm taking them they freak out. The ladies at the front desk are amazing! I'm going to start bring them there 2 days a week cause I'm back at work and I don't like leaving them at home for too long by themselves. I feel comfortable leaving my fur babies at PP&S without worrying.

Wonderful staff! The report card at the end of the day was proof they really spent time with my pup and knew her well.
