Update: Our poor rott Capone that isn't even 2 years old yet has became very ill and has been diagnosed with Lupus after 2 days in ER care in Dundee and 5 days at UW Madison. Add to the list of medical diagnoses. I still believe his parents should never be breed together again. We had our very first experience with Schomberg Rotts. This was not the first Rottweiler we've owned. We purchased Capone from them in March of 2020. He had health issues from the start but Nancy assured us that he was good to go. After having him for 2 months he developed severe diarrhea and had to be put on meds. From there it went to special food at a cost of around $93 every 3-4 weeks. He is now 16 mos. He is off of the meds for now and reacting well to the script food. However he's been diagnosed with IBD. He also has chronic ear infections, hip dysplasia and dysplasia in both elbows. He is also being monitored for renal disease. Our poor baby will not have a long life let alone a life without pain. His temperament is a little questionable as he still nips one of us in the family. We've had him with 2 different trainers. He's quite large and it's hard to exercise him with all of the dysplasia. It's very disheartening that we paid so much for him and we will never be done paying. But he'll have the best life until he can't. I would not recommend Schomberg Rotts.

Nancy Schomberg is amazing! Very knowledgeable, helpful and loving woman who genuinely cares for all the pups! She even helped keep our surprise going with my kids when we came to pick up our new puppy! Highly recommend and very thankful for Schomberg's!

We have two dogs from Schomberg! Nancy has always been very informative, responds quickly and our dogs are great.

I had bought my Rottweiler from here back in July 2018. I had another Rottweiler before this one who had tons of health issues so finding a breeder who had healthy & friendly dogs was ideal for me. Schomberg Rottweilers seemed great. I had traveled about 3 hrs to go here & picked out a pup who I went home with! I’ve named her Ellie. Ellie started having diarrhea the next day I had brought her home and her veterinarian did a fecal check. She had Giardia so I treated her. Everything was going good but she still had diarrhea (I am talking about blow outs in her kennel where the whole kennel and her needed a bath) I performed a bunch of tests by recommendations by her veterinarian. Her vet determined she had food allergies (allergic to meat protein) so now she’s on an expensive diet food for the rest of her life. I also had taken her in to be spayed & performed a preanesthetic EKG on her which turned up abnormal. We had further went to see a UW cardiologist who determined her heart looks normal but she is still have her abnormal beat. We have to continue to monitor her EKG every 6 months at a cardiologist which isn’t cheap! The only good news I have from Ellie is she is the sweetest dog! My son has grown up around her since he was 7 months and they are best buds! She is a great dog. I just wish she didn’t have so many heath issues already and she’s only a year old. I would not purchase another Rottweiler from here. Update: she now has HEREDITARY eye cataracts where she is blind at age 3. If you try to contact her regarding the new problem this is her response where she clearly doesn’t care about my dogs health. Only that my dog is now a problem. She’s a glorified puppy mill who’s in it for the money. Nancy’s response: we have her littermate brother, a healthy, large active sire named Radar. He is wonderful and those I have heard from with littermates, are all happy and doing well. That mating is tried and true. You must have just had some very bad luck and to contact me for the first time after three years to vent and try to shame me is not very well handled on your part. Health problems can arise and when they do, most let me know about them sooner than this. I am sorry for your problems. You clearly have no idea what all goes into the dogs and puppies care and upbringing here. I am also sorry you think so poorly of us because of the health of your dog. It IS very rare to hear of such extreme things. I wish you the best, Nancy

Website is amazing! The Rots are gorgeous. Was actually the only page that didn't appear to be shady. No available pups right now but the right one is worth their weight in gold.

i got my runt named punky here when i was 11! i love her so much! she is the sweetest most loving lap dog ever! i will definitely get another one from nancy once i graduate college!

I HIGHLY recommend Nancy and her pups!!! She is wonderful, really takes the time to explain everything in detail and helps you pick the pup that you are looking for. The puppies are in a clean area, with lots of toys around them. We love our Mack and would go back to Nancy anytime!

I would 100% reccomend Schomberg Rotts! Nancy was awesome to work with through our whole process of picking out our Reba. Through many visits she helped us slowly narrow down which puppy was right for us as they got older. She responded to emails and texts very promptly to answer any questions we had. The kennels are very clean and well maintained. All of the adult dogs were extremely friendly and it was very obvious they're treated like pets. We could not be happier with our little girl! Thank you Nancy and the rest of the Schomberg family!

The quality of the pets is superior. The Schombergs provide excellent care to the mature dogs and the puppies are treated with love and attention. The grounds and pens are clean and safe. Really a very nice facility with top notch blood line Rotties!

I bought a puppy from Nancy in December and he is one of the best dogs I have owned. I take him to work with me every day. He is great around customers, old and young. He loves our family and we love him. I would get 10 more if my husband would let me. Highly recommend Schomberg Rottweilers.

My Daughter and I have both Purchased Rotties from Nancy. My Daughters Rott (Stella) is about two and a half and my Rott (Marley) is 6 months. Both our pups come with us everywhere including work everyday. These are the best dogs we have had! Highly recommend Schomberg and will be getting future pups from them!
