The staff at Neuman's are so knowledgable. They helped our puppy transform from nervous, hyper and jumpy to confident, calm and well-behaved. We are grateful for the guidance they continue to give as we continue to send our dog to board and train with them. They also taught us how to manage our dog in various social situations and how to walk confidently in our neighborhood. We will absolutely send our next pup to Neuman's.

Neumann K-9 Academy is nothing short of phenomenal...the program and the expert trainers! They are devoted, professional and very responsive Amy time I have a question! I have sent 2 dogs through the 12 week program and one through the 8 week. My most recent graduate was my GSD Sascha on 12/31/21! There just simply no words to describe just how amazing this program and group of experts are. I have also boarded my GSD dogs and again they are responsive, professional and amazing! We have had a great experience at Neuman K-9 Academy. Our dog attended Training as a puppy and learned many skills that have made him a great family pet. Their exclusive Boarding Program is a huge benefit. He loves the Nature Hikes, group play time and refresher training that are offered.

Nothing but great things to say about Neuman Academy! Our dog Rory went through the 8-week training back in 2019 and we have been boarding him here ever since. They do an amazing job with the training and we are so grateful to have a place we know Rory is safe and taken care of when we travel. Truly 5 stars!

We love Neuman k-9! They did an amazing job with our sweet Moose! They answered all of our questions before training, kept us updated on his progress, and provided a thorough training for us so we are able to keep up with what our pup was trained to do. We already have plans for Moose to visit for boarding at the start of the new year! It was definitely difficult to be away from our puppy, but knowing he was being loved and taken care of while being trained made it so much easier and we could not be happier with the outcome!

Willow was in their 12 week program and she learned so much as did us. We have been so impressed with everyone at the academy and Willow gets so excited when we bring her back for boarding. We feel so at ease having her in their care and highly recommend Neuman’s K-9 Academy!!!

Neuman K-9 Academy has been absolutely wonderful for our family. We brought our French Bulldog puppy to them for 12 week training last spring. After experiencing their training of our puppy, we decided to immediately send our senior French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix. Both dogs have thrived in their training and are extremely well behaved dogs today. Before we tried every trainer under the sun with previous dogs and our current senior dog. Candidly, none of them worked and for us were a waste of time, money and energy. Neuman was exceptional from Day one. Our dogs lives and our families lives are changed for the better. There is such a difference having well trained, obedient dogs as members of the family. The photo below shows Migo, then a 20 week old puppy in the down and stay position during his in the field training. The program sends weekly progress reports home-- this was from week 10 of his 12 week program. If you're considering Neuman, do it. You will not regret it.

We have had 2 dogs attend the boot camp training with Neuman K-9 Academy. The team is responsive and know exactly what they are doing. We were unsure at first leaving our initial dog for 8 weeks without seeing him but the outcome was excellent. When picking up the dog they provided excellent training for us so we would be using the same commands and know what to do in certain scenarios. Also provided follow up training and/or optional classes. We have also used them periodically to board our dogs. This is a nice feature as we know the dice will receive additional training if needed & is in a safe environment. Can't say enough good things about Josiah & team.

We are so impressed with the training and professionalism that Neuman K9 delivered with our puppy. Duchess is an 8 month old Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) and we knew when adopting her that training would be 100% important with this breed. During her 8 week boot camp Duchess unfortunately got “cherry eye” (her breed is prone to it) and we were notified immediately with a plan for her to see the vet and get it fixed. They were so prompt and caring during this unforeseen situation. We cannot thank Josiah and the team at Neuman K9 for being so accommodating to different requests and giving us a well behaved and trained dog. We highly recommend this academy to anyone who is a dog lover!

We brought our now 8 month old mini irish doodle, Sadie, to Neuman for the 8 week puppy boot camp. She came home so well mannered! I would recommend anyone sending their dog to Neuman K9 Academy. All of the trainers are very professional and willing to answer any questions you may have. We really appreciated the weekly updates on how Sadie was doing at training. The handler training course before heading home with your dog is extremely helpful. We left feeling confident that we could continue with the commands at home. Sadie has been home 10 days now and we couldn't be more pleased. She was even able to come to work with me! Everyone in my office couldn't believe how well she responded to commands.

Great service and excellent training! We have been coming here for years I have sent both of my English springer spaniels to the 8 week training camp and use their boarding services whenever we go out of town. Highly recommend!

They are always responsive and always send updates if you ask for them. My dog has always had the best time here! 5/5 would recommend to all my family and friends who have dogs!

Neuman K-9 Academy came highly recommended to me from a friend and it did not disappoint. My puppy had a lot of energy, a big personality and is relatively stubborn. He was often times a bit of a handful so I sought a solution to set him up for success long term. The 8-week Puppy Camp course at the Academy helped him learn to control his impulses, become a better listener, and gain more freedom / trust with his new skills. In fact, he has hip dysplasia and had a surgery at 9 months old. The commands came in very useful in his recovery so he did not overdo his activity levels. After seeing other boarding situations, I much prefer to board my pup at the Academy -- it's a great opportunity for a training refresher and I am confident the dogs are well taken care of in a controlled environment. While the Academy is expensive, the investment in my dog has been priceless.

Neuman transformed my dog into a fantastic, well behaved, calmer doggo who I enjoy spending my day with. After researching the facility and how they offer a balanced training approach as well as a lot of other fun activities to engage the dog, I knew I was leaving her in good hands. I can't recommend them enough and their prompt replies to questions and concerns. As soon as I got her, I was told by many to 'train your dog' and I am really happy I chose Neuman to get that done!

The Neuman's K-9 Academy team is simply exceptional! My dog Norman visited Neuman's K-9 Academy for 8 weeks for a camp session, I was very nervous to be away from him for that long, worried he wouldn't remember me, etc... The staff from Neuman's were incredibly patient and responded quickly to my oodles of questions and concerns. They gave wonderful updates on how training was going during camp. When Norman graduated from camp - he returned to me as the goofy, fun-loving dog I sent to camp but, WITHOUT the troubling behaviors that had become a daily struggle. The Neuman's team walked me through every aspect of Norman's training, what to expect when we return home and how to handle new situations that we encounter. Each and every staff member I met, during the graduation Owner training portion of the camp, seemed to truly love dogs and their job at Neuman's Academy. I couldn't have had a better experience!

Neuman K-9 Academy was worth every penny and more! We opted to place my 68 year old mothers, very large and extremely energetic 2 year old German Wirehair in the 12 week program. We are extremely please with the results. Our family had some serious concerns about my mother keeping the dog, until he came back from the academy. She would have been heartbroken is she could not have kept him due to safety reasons, such as knocking her over. Now, she has a companion for live. He goes everywhere with her and is extremely obedient, loving and sweet. It has been a year and a half since since his training and he hasn't lost or forgot any of his training. My mom loves working with him everyday on the things the instructors taught her about his training. Neuman Academy not only trains the dogs, but they invest a lot of time and energy educating the owners/handlers. Our family is extremely pleases and happy with all the follow up care and kennel service they provide as well. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend doing it. You won't be sorry and will you be so happy you did. I had no idea how much a well trained dog could bring peace, security, and comfort to a home. This was the best investment we could have made. I can't say enough good things about the Neuman K-9 Academy. We got a new Golden Retriever puppy in 2020 at the beginning of COVID, and while I thought spending all the time at home would allow us to work on training, she turned out to be the complete opposite personality of our 5 year old Golden who was mellow and easy to train. She needed all of the attention and would constantly wake us up at 4:30-5am every morning. We stuck it out hoping it would pass, but by mid summer, we knew we needed additional (professional) help. I spent about a week doing research, watching all of their "Graduate" videos and sending my many questions to their director about their Puppy Bootcamp program. I had my hesitations with e-collar training, but knew there had to be something to it if they had so many successful graduates. I signed her up for their 8-week fall puppy program and never looked back. By early winter we went to pick her up and while she was still her spunky self, she listened so much better! Her impulses were almost night and day and she didn't wake us up at insane hours. In my opinion, the program was worth its weight in gold. Yes, it's expensive, but it's an investment that sets your dog (and yourself) up for success. The staff was easy to talk to and they were able to answer all of the questions I had (which were many) either in person or via email. We love Neuman's so much that we have now sent our older Golden for the adult bootcamp so he can work on his training skills like recall and leash work. Thank you Neuman's K-9 Academy!

We took our German Shepard to Neuman when he was 7 months old for their 8 week boot camp and it did wonders! The follow up courses on weekends were always a big help and confidence booster for us and our pup that we were both keeping up on our follow through training! Needless to say 3.5 years later we still have nothing but amazing things to say about the whole staff as we continually bring or shepherd there for boarding! They do an amazing job and are very knowledgeable and responsive to any questions or concerns we ever have when leaving our dog with them! He always arrives happy and leaves their facility just as happy! We are extremely happy we invested the money and time into choosing them to train or dog!

We could not be happier with our experience and Neuman K-9 Academy. This started with our initial communication, where they were incredibly helpful, flexible and responsive. They are incredibly professional and did a great job training my puppy. We only did the four week program and our expectations were far exceeded. When we came to pick our puppy up he was so happy - you could tell they took really good care of him. We are incredibly impressed with the results, and couldn't recommend Neuman more. THANK YOU!

Mabel loved the variety of activities during her training, and came home ready for more nature walks and obstacle courses. We are so happy to have her board at Neuman K-9 Academy, and get some refresher training during the boarding time.

We are so happy with the results of our dog’s training at Neuman K-9 Academy. We turned to this training program after we had been having many issues with our new large breed puppy being introduced to our household. We had a previous small breed dog that if her manners were not minded we were able to ignore it as she was small. But with a dog weighing almost as much as our children we quickly learned that her bad manners were not going to work in the long run. After completing the 12-week training program at Neuman K-9 Academy, our dog with bad manners became an extremely well-behaved dog that follows our commands. We no longer had kids running from door to door throughout the house trying to avoid the dog, we now have kids that seek her out to play. They all now know that if they give her a command of sit, she will listen and sit! Everyone asks how she is so well behaved and we let them know about the programs at Neuman K-9 Academy and the change it has made to our family! We will for sure use Neuman K-9 Academy for training of all of our future dogs as it has been the best investment we have made for our dog and our family!

We did a lot of research when looking for a training facility for our German Shepherd puppy. We came across Neuman Academy in Hugo MN. and were impressed. We called the academy and were further impressed with their telephone presentation. In addition to our telephone conversation, after reading several reviews, we decided that Neuman Academy was the right choice for our puppy. While our puppy was in training we received weekly updates with photos. It is now almost a year later and we are extremely happy with the results! We highly recommend Neuman.

The training my dog received has helped her become a wonderful family member. The skills she learned at Neuman K-9 Academy combined with the skills and education I received as a handler allow us to participate in many varied settings with confidence. The staff is helpful and responsive. I also like that she is able to return to visit camp when we can't take her with us, knowing the other campers have all gone through the Neuman training.

I highly recommend Neuman K-9 Academy. Our German Shepherd, Minne, was 4 years old when a negative experience sent us looking for help. She was a wonderful dog at home most of the time, but despite many different attempts to train her, her leash aggression, high prey drive and high energy levels made it almost impossible to do things outside of our home with her. Minne has been home from boot camp for 5 months and it has completely changed my relationship with her. She is so well behaved I enjoy taking her with me whenever possible. She used to ignore my commands and only respond to my husband, but now she responds immediately to my commands. I have seen a significant decrease in anxiety. My only regret is that we didn’t send her to Neuman when she was a puppy. Josiah and Summer are incredible educators and dog lovers, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

We took our two and half year old labrador retriever to Neuman's for the 8 week boot camp. It was difficult to say goodbye for that long, but at the same time we knew he was in a good place. I am incredibly impressed with the professionalism of Neuman's. When you have a question, they get back to you right away. They are extremely organized. The handler training for us on pick-up day was very helpful - they obviously want you and your dog to succeed and are there for you after boot camp as well. Bodie definitely knows his commands and we feel more equipped to work with him. We also are so thankful that they are there for questions post-training. Thank you Neuman's! We look forward to having Bodie board with you!

We sent our pup to the 8-week camp and she received very high quality training. At pick-up time, we were given a detailed lesson and instruction on continuing the skills our pup has learned. We have also sent her back for boarding with confidence she has been loved and cared for.

Leo started at Josiah's some 12 years ago in puppy boot camp. We were so impressed with the dog we got back, he's been a joy in our lives. We continue to take Leo back for boarding whenever we leave town. we are so impressed with the facility and the multitude of options they have for you pet while boarding there, from reviewing training, nature walks and treadmill training. We will always go back. We now have a new 14 week old puppy and he will be following in Leo's footsteps in July with his own puppy boot camp.......
