Had my cat neutered. Did the required pre-op with vaccinations and labs. Had my son drop the cat off this morning so I could go to work on time. Picked my cat up and they gave him a booster too early. Boosters are due 3-4 weeks from the original. I did not discuss my cat receiving this vaccination booster with the vet at the pre op. This was not in the estimate and added an extra $83 to my bill. Use caution with this clinic as they add services and charges without consent.

I go here regularly, but have went to a few other vets. Here they have many openings and have an accommodating schedules/hours. They are reasonably priced and do a good job of giving quotes and talking through options and giving you time to make decisions. The vet I typically see does a GREAT job of giving real advice verse trying to sell you on the most expensive options. Although, I did have to wait quite a long time for the vet last time I was there, but it was the first time clients were able to go back into the building since Covid so that may be why.

Barrington is an excellent veterinarian clinic that has 2 locations in Elk River and Princeton. They are reasonably priced and have excellent, knowledgeable vets there. The inside of the clinics are updated clean and professional. I'm happy to have found a veterinarian clinic I can trust that can accommodate our busy schedules.

We have used Barrington Oaks for a long time. We moved out of the area and requested that they send our cat's prescription for food to a new vet. They said they were unable to do that as the prescription hasn't been updated since 2018. However, they had absolutely no issue selling the prescription food to us up until now. This business is crooked and all about money not the animals. Not only all of this but they are also the most expensive vet in a 30 mile radius. -Theresa Gould

The doctors are usually pretty nice, but the assistants and rest of the staff are pretty terrible (except for Pam, she’s always helpful). They seem to care more about charging me money than actually caring for my pet. They also don’t listen to concerns well. Today the person was downright rude and ignored me while I paid.

Everyone at this vet is AMAZING! So caring, knowledgeable and helpful - you can tell they really care. My dog had a fractured leg that required surgery and aftercare - they made sure my dog was comfortable and helped care for him after surgery. We would have been lost without their help and support.

Earlier this year I brought my ferret into the emergency vet... Once he was stabilized by the emergency vet he went to this vet office to get testing done to try to figure out what was wrong with him. They ordered $1,000 worth of tests and when all of those tests came back in conclusive they decided to just leave him on steroid since he was doing okay on steroids. Fast forward about 5, 6 months my ferret is no longer doing okay I'll bring him back into this vet... When there I start rattling off a list of common illnesses associated with ferrets and asking if it could be any of these things because I am at my Wit's end dealing with this...I just want my little guy to feel better. They come back into the room with a $638 estimate for doing more blood work and another piece of blood work that cost $350 to do... When I questioned why these tests weren't done five six months ago when he was having $1,000 worth of testing and why we were repeating testing we'd already done.... Their ferret vet, the Barbie Cottom, informed me that the $350 test wasn't one that she thought my ferret had but because I mentioned it she was just going to run the test.... Isn't it the job of the vet to know what test need to be run to test figure out what's wrong with an animal? Why would you just order a $350 test if you are pretty confident it's coming back negative? All I did was mention a common ferret illness and ask her if it could potentially be something like that and she decided she was just going to spend an extra $350 for nothing. Don't bring your animals here Sarah Cottom is one of the rudest vets I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with...and she never did diagnose my little guy. Her vet tech? Awesome... Too bad she works with this lady.

I have been to Barrington Oaks with my almost 18 years young kitty and they have always treated her with care, respect and kindness! & I have received the same! Always enjoy going to Barrington knowing I will be listened to, taken care of and having my fur baby get all the help she needs as well! Being an advocate for your fur baby is easy to do here! Thank you Barrington Oaks!

Frustrated because brought our new dog and he got medication that made him sick for a while and brought him back just for them to tell me that it was the antibiotic. Then charge you again. Crazy.

I called this pet hospital on Friday 7/30/2021 at 3:30 pm. My dog was having laboured breathing and very lethargic. They said they could see him in September. I told them this is an emergency. They would not take him and said their next appointment is in September. I said if he is not seen soon he will die. They refused him. He died at 8pm. I blame this hospital as well as the other "emergency " clinics I called. This dog is extremely missed!

Very helpful staff! The Dr. was very knowledgeable and glad to answer any questions I had. PLUS it was our 5 puppies first visit. It went quickly, smoothly and was pretty inexpensive! I will definitely be bringing the pups back to this Veterinarian Clinic.

Years ago I had a not so great experience here. I had left a review on Facebook. Two weeks ago we had an emergency with our cat. I figured since it had been so long, I was willing to give them another try, another chance. Thinking it had been long enough and maybe this time would be better. I called to get an emergency appointment. The appointment got booked for a couple hours later. Then the woman said, I need to put you on hold for a moment. She came back and I was told that I would not be able to be seen at that office and that they were refusing service to me. When I asked why, I was told that because I had left that review over six years ago, I was 'flagged' in their computer system and the owner refused to see me. Talk about holding grudges. You'd think that a company would want to redeem themselves. But the owner holds major grudges when someone speaks out about their experience with them.

After taking my dog here at 4 times over the last year, my dog has never been in better health as an adult. We thought she may never have full functionality on the one bad leg, but for the last few months, 100 percent fine. I think their prices are reasonable... but they can be expensive if you follow all of their recommendations. Be very selective about which recommendations you take... For example: I my case, a lot of the labs or x-ray options seemed a bit unnecessary. So we declined to have them and went ahead with treatment of the most likely cause and that worked out well. Your situation will be unique to your pet, but talk about all the options with the vet and the price tag for each. Including how likely that lab work or x-ray or whatever, will accurately tell you what is wrong.

We recently moved so was looking for a new vet in the Elk River area. I brought our dog in for to have her diagnosed for some issues and also to get her nails clipped. I was surprised to learn that they required a credit card to hold an appointment. I have never heard of this for a vet clinic. That should have been my first indication that they are strictly about the money at this clinic. It's very hard to compare prices from one vet to another but it seemed pretty expensive as other reviewers have noted. Worst part was I called the following day with questions and it took them at least five hours to call me back. I was very disappointed that they couldn't find five minutes to get back to me earlier.
