Excellent care for you pet, but had to update!! Still the best care for your pet bar none! Dr Jim is professional and friendly. He tells you the truth about your pet and the best solution for resolving any issues. He has a great team working with him who really love animals! Dr Jim also has great folks to send you to if he can't treat your pet. Try them once and I promise you'll be back!

Very nice vets and technicians there. They seem very caring and upfront about costs and try to find ways to save you money. It's also quite clean inside.

I can't recommend Prairie Village Pet Hospital enough! We've taken our lab there for 13 1/2 years, now. A friend recommended them and we are so glad she did! The staff, techs and vets are all so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. From yearly and routine visits to a knee replacement surgery for our girl (from a great visiting surgeon) the care is always top notch.

Our 1 year old German Shorthair/Lab mix receives excellent care at Prairie Village Pet Hospital. Everyone is so friendly and helpful there, from front office staff to techs to the vets. They are all so good with Lucy and clearly care about animals. We have also really appreciated the Pet Pro Connect app they use that allows us to send messages or download vaccination records quickly and easily.

The techs and vet were very friendly and great with my cat. He gave me a variety of suggestions for me to try, which I really appreciated. The price was very affordable.

So far I have brought both of my cats there and they are awesome. They are super honest and transparent, it is deeply refreshing. A lot of vets seem only about the money but this place definitely seems to care about what they do.

We take our cats Mike and Tom to Prairie Village Pet Hospital. 4 of 5 visits have been fantastic. Most recently the staff seemed to be overwhelmed. Usually they are very thorough and prompt. A bit less in both areas this visit…..we still recommend.

They love your pet as much as you do. The level of care and results are so comforting.

We have gone to Prairie Village Pet for many,many years with our dogs,and have always had good experiences. Dr Nelson listens to our concerns and answers any questions.Another plus is it's so close to our home..Mary and Kelly are two long time Assistants of Dr Nelson and always friendly And helpful.They have cared for a number of dogs we've had,and our dogs loved the treats they always gave at the end of the visit.

Good people and service but really expensive

They take care credit! Got my kitty Nova in quick for her emergency, and service was faster than what was estimated originally. Nova was there for less than four hours. Kayla was her my vet and she was very kind, professional, and called me with updates and to ask if I wanted to proceed with her suggestions on what Nova needed. Please keep in mind that emergency situations cost a lot. Nova had a physical exam, IV fluids with pain medication, anti-nausea and vitamins along with an x-ray. She was sent home with two cans of plain food for her tummy. (She had eaten some plastic pieces which was causing her discomfort along with not eating and dehydration. She was vomiting 6+ times a day, which cause some soreness and irritation with her esophagus. She was able to pass the plastic via bowel movements.)That’s all she needed, and the total cost was almost $800. I didn’t qualify for care credit, so I had to pay upfront after Nova was released. I was very blessed to be able to afford that in that moment, but I actually couldn’t believe how much it cost... I HIGHLY recommend Blue Pearl if your furr baby has an emergency. Most of us would do anything for our family members which includes our pets. ❤️❤️❤️

The absolute best from every vet technician to front desk to Dr. Nelson. Mary, Kelly, Molly, Jamila are awesome! I’ve taken all three of my dogs here for many years and would never go anywhere else. Very friendly, punctual, compassionate, reasonably priced and knowledgeable. Always explain prices. Dr Nelson and Jamila even came to my home when it was time to put my dog to sleep. I’ve referred several people here.

We just brought our third dog to Prairie Village a few days ago. She’s a puppy, and we are very happy with her treatment. Our other two dogs lived for over 16 years each, and received all their care from Prairie Village. So we are confident that the good care will continue.

Dr.Nelson is wonderful. Both him and the staff are professional and truly care about your pet. I have taken my Pomeranian to multiple other vets, but never received the quality of care that this Pet Hospital provides. THANK YOU for all of your hard work and the excellent service you provide! Nice set up to take your pet to the vet. You park outside, call in to let them know you're there, they come out and bring your pet in for the appointment. They call you with results, take the payment and then bring them back out to you when they're done. Nice staff too!
