Petco Burnsville, Minnesota

I used to go here frequently to get my dog’s nails trimmed pre-Covid. The gal there was awesome! Unfortunately, it’s been impossible to schedule an appointment for just a trim and they never answer the phone. You can’t leave a voicemail because it only gives you 5 seconds to talk. I thought they started to accept walk-ins, but when I went they said they didn’t.

I read reviews about a employe name Natalia oh boy I will no longer take my dog to any petco after what I experienced here by that employee

I went to this petco to get my dog service like get his nails clean, teeth wash, and etc. I had an appointment but getting my appointment took by a walk in because a employee name Natalia didn’t want to take my dog in b/c he was excited, a dog came in. Plus, she told a another employee not to services my dog because he was too happy for her or something in that matter.

Natalia makes me feel uncomfortable doesn’t treat black people well

I had success for years using their grooming service, but it’s gone really downhill as of late. After waiting for over a month for a dog grooming appointment it was canceled with no notice and no available reschedules… I went somewhere else and planned ahead the next time, but by the time the day came my boy was really in need of a cut. I got several texts from Petco confirming the appointment including one to bring his vaccination records. When I brought him in with vaccination records they refused to take him saying they had never seen him before (he’s been there at least 30x over the years) and they needed a note from the vet saying he was ok to groom. This is the last straw and not worth the hassle of being close and booking online appointments. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Staff were very helpful and friendly!! Good atmosphere!

The prices are a little high, I bought 7 little item cost me almost $70

Its open. Yes , you can get stuff for most your little animals & fishes. I always find something different here. Like , the pets you can get here. From a baby Guinea pig , sold alone, should have a friend. Get your pet foods, such a variety. pet beds, toys, shampoos for animals , everything. Cages & water cups n bowls. Adopt a pet, donate some change or more for pets.

There was a good selection of items but some areas were low on inventory. I was able to get what I needed though.

This is the best Petco in the metro for fish! I live closer to 2 other Petco locations, but intentionally drive an extra 20 minutes to shop at this store. The aquariums are always clean, the employees take much better care of the fish than the other Petco locations, and their selection is much more extensive. It's not just the typical platies, guppies, and catfish. Just today I stopped by and they had threadfin rainbows, pygmy corydoras, celestial pearl danios, sterbai corydoras, peacock gudgeons, emerald eye rasboras, and a whole host of other less common fish, all in great shape and for a lower cost than other specialty aquatic shops! Jay, who works in the aquatics department is amazing! She's super knowledgeable about all of the fish and will make recommendations on stocking depending on your tank size. If you're looking for tropical fish in the south metro, this is the store for you!

Petco always brings happiness to our family! With a range of pet animals, and excellent customer service, we can get all the questions answered! Any kind of pet food, cleaners, maintenance equipment is absolutely available here. Customer service professionals are very polite to answer the questions. A great place to visit for pet requirements!

Terrible. We went in today to look at the fish and potentially purchase one, there was rubber bands in the guppy tank, and a live fish sucked into the filter. After we asked a associate to potentially help said fish or do something about the situation nothing happened. Finally a back room stocker, a younger gentleman, came and did it himself. He was nice. However, even he admitted that other store workers knew of this poor fish and didn’t care. This is literally a pet store. The sole purpose of these workers is to maintain their animals until they are purchased and re-homed. Petco has been known for throwing away live animals and poorly treating them as well but seeing is believing in this case. Although fish may be not as cared about as maybe a dog or a cat it’s still a living breathing animal. Shame on this store. Also the one parrot they had was in WAY to small of a cage and was running into the wall. Very sad. Do better.

Went to look at animals and fish, found a fish sucked into the commercial grade filter, had an employee remove the fish , saw the fins were missing from the fish they decided to keep it in the tank, to which they said oh well we will take care of it, no sense of urgency for the animals well being, rubber bands in the goldfish tank, dirty glass, plants weren’t clean inside the tanks, if zero stars was an option that would be it. Commercial pet stores at least this one aren’t the one to buy an animal from. Won’t ever be a petco patron or advocate, poor care of animals and store.

I like this Petco. The store is clean, staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. But the most important point for me is they got FISHIES!

Decent Petco that actually has customer service. Just spendy like all Petco places. Your better off ordering from Chewy, where Petco gets its supplies from before they up mark it by a ton.

Love love loved this location! Its huge. Lots of toys! Lots of food and reptiles and all types of things. theres a grooming salon. Great employees. Awesome Petco! My favorite location so far. I also love the Bloomington Petco, both greta locations though this ones much larger

Looking for Royal Canin West Highland terrier food at store and Petco onlineNo success. Only available at Amazon at premium price. Petco online is very difficult to search.
