Called my vet about my dog eating Xylitol tablet and they told me to go to the emergency room and it sounded very serious. I knew exactly what he had invested and how much. Called the emergency vet and they told me I could come in or call the Poision line first and have them calculate based on amount ingested. Since I knew for sure he had exactly one tablet they took down the info and his weight and after paying by credit card they told me it's not enough to cause harm. Feed him immediately and watch him for a few hours. I would have been very upset and worried or paid a very high vet bill & driving in rush hour traffic. This is not a free service and likely won't help if you don't know how much or what they ate. But in my case it saved me money and peace of mind.

They charge $75 just so to start a case. When in an emergency situation I feel that money shouldn't be the first thing the provider should care about. Other than that they took down information on what my dog had ingested and told us to go to a veterinary hospital where the provider called in about our case to get the information about proper treatment.

Be ready to spend $50+ before they will give you any actual helpful information!

Zero stars would be more fair. $65 for them to tell me nothing I didn't already know. It's a SCAM between them and hoity toity new vets who think they're running haute couture boutique businesses instead of helping animals! ????Use "Just Answer" one-on-one vet chat at justanswer.com ????instead which costs $5 for truly sensible and intelligent advice to help you know what to do when you're in a panic over your pet so you'll either know going to the vet is the decent and reasonable decision or if you're just needing reassurance and a rational reply from an experienced and caring vet! I recommend Dr. Michael Salkin!!! (5 stars!)

THEY WANT TO CHARGE YOU MONEY

I had to pay 65 dollars just for them to tell me I should go to the vet immediately for an emergency. When no vet was available, we ended up just staying in, with me watching my pup. He woke up the next morning 100% okay. So I ask myself, why did I have to pay 65 dollars for the call, and why did they tell me it was an urgent emergency, when it clearly was not.

Although disappointed in paying $65, they helped save my fur baby from something she'd eaten. Thank you.

I caught my dog, Sally, eating Tomcat mouse poison while visiting my dad's house today ☠️????. Let me tell you, I WAS FREAKING OUT. I immediately induced vomiting by administering hydrogen peroxide to her, but I was still extremely concerned because the active ingredient "bromethalin" has side effects that are detremental long term - and can also be lethal when ingested - because it's a neurotoxin. Of course, it's Sunday, and her normal veterinarian office was closed. I Called an emergency animal clinic and they referred me to the Pet Poison Hotline. I spoke to a woman named Karen who comforted me (in my very frazzled state of mind) and she was very knowledgeaeble about the situation I was in. She gathered the information about my dog and looked up the poison with the EPA number on the box. Luckily, Sally the dog will be fine. The $65 fee was well worth the peace of mind. Thanks!

Useless. Charge to tell you if you should bring your pet to "the nearest emergency pet clinic." No answers. Then you're left to search for an open :emergency pet clinic." USELESS.

Was very upset they stated I needed to take my pup to an emergency vet and then told the vet they weren’t very concerned about the medication she got into. So it cost me way more than it should have. Very Upsetting
