The overnight boarding was a nightmare experience. I was out of town on a business trip for the weekend and left my two malteses in their care. When I came to pick them up, my dogs bedding and blankets were soiled with vomit, feces and hair of other dogs. It was very clear to my that even though paid for the suite experience that my dogs did not end up sharing their kennels alone together. In addition, my dogs were shaking for hours after pick up. I can only imagine that they were traumatized by something they experienced there. We had never had issues when they went to the daycare but regardless, I no longer use their service.

Just picked up my pup from her Thanksgiving boarding experience. She’s happy, tired, and ready for a good long nap! I’m thankful for the knowledgeable and friendly staff who kept her company the last few days. Everyone was smiling and laughing - pawsitive atmosphere. We’ve also been a long time daycare customer. Wouldn’t go anywhere else! ????

Wonderful day care and boarding for dogs. We are always comfortable leaving our dog for the day, or for a long vacation away. Staff is responsive and caring.

Overall our dog came home safe, but with several scratches on the nose and took two baths to get clean. The bath water was sewage. This makes sense based on the fact that when boarding the pups never go outside and thus potty in their play / sleep areas. They say it is for safety but boarders are supposed to get walks. I can’t say if this happened because the cameras are only on from 10-12 and 2-5. We called while boarding, no one answered and the cameras were off because the “lobby was closed” on a holiday. In addition, the dog to trainer ratio seems unfavorable — overall, your dog will probably be fine, but the lack of transparency is frightening, and there are definitely better places.

If you have a special needs for grooming I would not suggest going here. I have a Newf with sever allergies and the dermatologist vet (specialist) wants her coat to remain short so prescription medicated shampoo can easily get to the skin. The groomer refused to clip the dog based on her opinion that you do not clip Newf's. Didn't matter that she has skin issues and the vet wants the coat short. Apparently a grooming certification trumps a veterinarian skin specialist.

We had our dog groomed with Dogtopia today. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with them. Upon arrival, the grooming room was filthy with dog hair everywhere, they are groomed in the same room other dogs our held making it hard for our dog to be calm and behave. I looked over that, because I understand space limitations and things get busy. However, during the initial visit we briefly spoke about what we wanted, groomer asked if I wanted a wheaten cut, we’ve never done that so I said no. Reflecting I should have said 1/4 off, but I said 1/2 off. Regardless of that, our dog came back with 3/4 off looking like she just got out of a bath. If there was no hair, it would look the same. They asked for a tip before I even saw the cut (a mistake) then simply apologized for it being too short. I get it, nothing could be done, but for someone with 40 years of cutting, that’s clearly way more than 1/2. I mean if you know what a wheaten cut is then I’m sure you could figure out this is a terrible job. Someone said she looked great, laughable. We called after we returned home, they said that’s the way I wanted it cut, we expressed our disappointment, asked for a refund and ended up agreeing on refunding the tip I had given them of 15%. Folks, I could have done a better job myself with a clippers and a comb. This is awful. If you go here, be very clear about your expectations because if you tell them anything arbitrary they will abandon any level if intuition and your dog will come out looking like. Dobby the elf from Harry Potter. An after thought: sophie was very timid afterwards, is huddled in a corner being very antisocial, very unlike herself. You can even tell from the picture, there is a night and day difference in demeanor and clearly….esthetics. I challenge you to improve your business, listen to your customers, be compassionate, and just do better. The fact you call that a spa is hilarious.

It’s really evident that this is a place you wanna take your pet when the staff are as excited to see him as he is them. I trust these people. They have lots of fun activities going on all of the time. The staff is very friendly snd are very intent on providing a professional service that is very important to me.

I honestly can not express how happy I am with Dogtopia of Bloomington. I brought my 2 dogs to this location as we were visiting the area, I did not want my pups stuck in the house while I got to enjoy the Twin Cities. My dogs have been in daycare since they were 6 months old and I can say I know when they have had a good time. The employees are dedicated to the wellbeing of the dogs and you can tell each one has a special gift that dogs just love. Since traveling from Chicago to Minneapolis I wanted to make sure we had a place lined up for daycare and I know I probably aggravated Dogtopia with all my emails but they were very very professional and had us in the system prior to our days and all we had to do was drop the dogs off and enjoy the day. The report cards were a sweet personal touch we enjoyed reading those. I need to point out an employee, Echo! She went above and beyond to assist us and make sure Samson and Dililah had a great time.

The staff at Dogtopia Bloomington are fantastic. My French bulldog- Maverick- absolutely adores going there for daycare and spa days to see all his friends, both fur and human! They are all dog lovers and they go above and beyond to provide a fun, safe and caring environment for our fur babies. I love the frequent and ever changing theme days/ events and how quick they are to respond to any appointment requests. Checking in on the webcams on my lunch break is always entertaining. You guys are amazing, thank you for all that you do!

My pup had her first day here, and I’ve never seen her come home with so much energy and spunk! I can tell she enjoyed her time there today and we will definitely keep coming! She is a rescue and I was unsure of how she would do in a play environment, but she seemed to thrive. I loved that they sent me an update and picture of her during the day, and we got sent home with a report card.

Dogtopia has been such a safe haven for our boys will we go on vacation. Easy to book, easy to get them in and easy to pick up! They send the cutest photos and have the best cameras....we miss them dearly but they have a blast whenever we board them with Dogtopia! :)

*Strictly Grooming* We’ve been taking our dog here for routine grooming since she was a puppy, and the haircuts have never been phenomenal, but we never thought much of it. This most recent time we brought her in they cut her nails too short and she was bleeding. We didn’t notice it until she was home. When I called to let them know, we were told that they were aware that the nail had been cut too short and had applied quick stop, but they neglected to inform me. I should have been told so I could monitor the paw. Unfortunately, the call was also very hostile. I don’t recommend you get you dog groomed here. Boarding services and daycare are wonderful, just not grooming.

Lolly loves her time at Dogtopia in Bloomington. She is treated with so much love, I never feel bad leaving her in their care!

Very accommodating for a last minute day care need. Super friendly. Dogs came out exhausted!

I love Dogtopia!! Every single person that works there is so nice and welcoming. My little Bodi gets so excited as we pull in. I love that there are themed days and that I can check on him while I am at work. I know Bodi is always in great hands!

I honestly cannot say enough about Dogtopia in Bloomington. I was fostering a dog who really needed some socialization. After looking at many different daycare options, I felt Dogtopia was the best overall on making sure it was a safe experience. I purchased a package of visits, and soon after my foster was adopted. They worked with me on the unused visits and went above and beyond!!! My pup loved her time at Dogtopia, the staff was always sweet and excited to see each dog coming in, and she came home EXHAUSTED! Hands down, if you're looking for a place to put your dog in daycare, this is it! Thank you Dogtopia, you've gained a permanent referral from me! Once I get my forever pup, we will be back.

We took our dog to a de-shedding grooming appt and she came home with terrible uneven fur, her top coat missing in areas, and scabbed/scraped skin. It was obvious she was brushed extremely roughly. She’s been very uncomfortable and has had to wear a cone for over a week to prevent further harm. It’s been a terrible experience and dogtopia has chalked it up to a shampoo reaction, even though it obviously isn’t, as it’s only in certain areas, the fur was pulled out, etc. Don’t take your dogs there! Groomers are clearly untrained.

Took my dog to be groomed and the cut was terrible. Uneven hair everywhere like a child did it. The groomer also complained that it took longer than expected and would cost more money next time. A few days after and we realize the pup has scabs all over her head. The scabs feel like someone smacked her on the head with a brush. The kind with metal bristles. Not sure what happened but this was the worst grooming experience and we will never return. Do not spend money to have your pet groomed here!

I cannot express highly enough how WONDERFUL my first experience was at Dogtopia in Bloomington! I dropped my 2.5 yr old Maltese Pomeranian Maizey off for her first time to play and get a groom. I loved being able to see her in the playroom on the app! And her haircut was the BEST she’s ever had. Usually she looks quite awkward for a few weeks after a cut. But this time she is SO PRETTY!!! I can’t even believe it. The Dogtopia team was so great about following up with me on paperwork they needed prior to her visit. They went above and beyond. We will be back soon! Thank you SO much!

Dropped off my puppy for overnight visit. Requested a puppy bath which was explained to me as complimentary service. I was being charged and extra 45 for it but they removed the charge for the misunderstanding. But the insulting part was when they handed me the dog her paws we're wet and yellow she smells like pee from walking in urine. She smells terrible and I won't be back

Friendly staff & my pup enjoys going there.

I just started bringing my golden retriever, Kaiser, to dogtopia a week ago. They have been amazing so far! Very welcoming and responsive to my questions. Today they gave him a bandana and a framed picture of him! It was very sweet. I love the daily report cards that they hand write. Kaiser seems to enjoy his time there and is very tired when he comes home! I highly recommend dogtopia!

We love Dogtopia, Bloomington! The staff knows us as well as our dog, Maggie. She gets super excited to even pull in the parking lot and we know she will always be safe. We have done daycare and boarding, even nail trims, which is impressive given she is a pug and HATES anyone touching her feet. The staff always gives updates on her day, and knows how to pair dogs in the different rooms based on their energy level and needs. This location also has a ton of perks and social media updates, depending on which days you sign up for - it's fun to receive goody bags and pictures.

I received a tour of the facility and was impressed with how clean it was. I asked a lot of questions and the owner patiently answered all of them and eased my concerns. Best of all, my puppy had a great experience!

Believe me when I say this place and its staff are amazing!!! My dogs love it here and lose their mind when they hear me ask if they wanna go play with friends!!!

We love coming to Dogtopia! The staff is ALWAYS friendly, welcoming and takes phenomenal care of our dog! It's a bonus that it is always clean & well kept. Blanche always is super excited to go to Dogtopia & comes home as happy (& tired) as can be! The grooming services are also very convenient, well priced & we are always happy with how her haircut, nails, etc turn out!

We love taking our dog Laika here! He’s always exhausted after a day at Dogtopia. We also boarded him for a week back in September and I’m pretty sure he wanted to stay rather than go home with us :)

Our dog absolutely loves going to daycare here! The staff is top-notch and we feel so comfortable leaving our pup in their care. They care for him as if he was their own and even deal with his crazy personality ;) They are super responsive with any questions I have ever had and are always super accommodating. They also always give me feedback on how my dog has been that day - if he seemed to be having fun, if he was acting more shy, etc. It makes me feel comfortable that they are paying attention to my dogs needs and making sure he is having a good experience there. If you are hesitant about bringing your dog somewhere, don't be hesitant about dogtopia! They are the best and your dog will love it there :)
