We're not able to go in the store

Great store, people are very nice and all pups come from licensed breeders that are inspected by the owner personally. You can tell the staff truly cares for the puppies and the pups are placed in a loving home.

Don't buy mill dogs! There's numerous loca rescues to adopt from, and the money used to purchase that dog goes right back into saving more from death row.

This place is a puppy mill

I personally know people who have bought dogs here and the dog has heart issues and a bad hip and that was before it was a year old. I talked to my vet and she's seen plenty of unhealthy dogs from this store too. They sell unhealthy dogs from puppy mills! Do your research first!

I really wanted to like this place. After months of looking and waiting for a puppy through a breeder, we finally caved and opted to go through the pet store route. I’m well aware of the stigma behind these places, but it seemed safe enough. The staff was very knowledgeable, kind, and patient with us as we visited a couple of times to finalize our decision. After much thought and planning, we thought we had found “the one.” As we moved into finalizing the purchase, we were informed that this puppy had a luxating patella, a genetic birth defect involving dislocation of the kneecap, which can further unpredictably develop in its severity. We were quite shocked that we were just now being informed of this and felt it was almost deceptive of them not to disclose this information as soon as we showed an interest in the puppy; when we reserved him days prior. We had put so much thought and preparation into this decision, and it was devastating news. You should inform your buyers of any known health problem or congenital defect as soon as they show an interest in a puppy, not as they’re about to purchase it. As I said, it seemed quite deceptive. Also, after we were informed of this and became visibly unsure, the employee mentioned health issues that this puppy’s litter mates had, one with a hernia and the other with an open fontanel, in what seemed to be an effort to play off our puppies health condition as "standard" or not a big deal. That was another red flag; knowing that this puppy’s litter mates had health problems as well was not comforting... I would advise anyone looking to purchase a puppy from here to directly ask if the puppy they’re interested in has any predisposed health issues or genetic disorders immediately, as you will not be informed of one until you’ve already fallen in love with it, are signing the papers and about to purchase. Better yet, buy through a local small-scale breeder. One where you can observe where and how your puppy is being raised and meet the parents of your puppy. It’s well worth the extra effort or wait. We gave this place a chance and highly regret it.

Took in Chloe on October 5th 2 months after a TBI i endured this summer. Though I lost a lot of connections and feelings about the world since then, I gained a best friend that makes everyone especially me around her HAPPY. She was the smallest of her litter only fitting the palm of my hand and now has grown to be 7 pounds just after turning 4 months old! (time flies) Anways, this place socializes and really cares about their puppies. She learned potty training day 1 and has not had one accident! She is growing perfectly and has kept my spirits high along with our Family when I go over to visit! Thank you Four Paws for changing both our lives???????? (This is her absolute favorite spot to lay down and snooze even though it takes her 5 minutes to get situated, It will be a cozy winter) ????????

1st of all you can't go inside unless you have an appointment. When you do get inside they rush you and they want a crazy amount for the pets. The staff is rude and they try to upset dumb stuff

This place treats their puppies with respect! We were the only ones allowed in the store when visiting, and we were confined to a small gated play pen when holding the puppies so that the staff could closely monitor the encounter. We were also asked to sit while holding the puppies so that there were no accidents with the squirmy little pups falling from our hands. Four Paws and a Tail has these rules in place to protect the puppies, and I appreciated them so much! Because of this, my new pup has a great disposition and loves people. He didn't spend his first few weeks of life being mishandled and treated as entertainment for passersby. They also gave us SO much helpful information about how to care for our new pup that I felt confident he was in good hands prior to his adoption. They even called us the next day to check in to see how his first night went. Pet stores get a bad rap. This one is different. After my experience with them, it would be impossible to think they didn't truly care about the well-being of their puppies!

I just wanted to say that four years ago you sold me a four paws and a tail. She is a German Shepherd and her name is Ruby. She is one of the best things that has ever happened to me!! She loves to go on hikes, walk across fallen trees, and she can rock climb like a beast. I call her my soccer dog as she is the best goalie there is! I am grateful to you for her! She is my ride or die and she is always ready to go anywhere and everywhere with me riding shot gun in my car. She is my best friend and she is beautiful. Thank you! ❤

Awful place the puppies don’t have enough room to run around and shouldn’t be kept in glass cages. This is inhumane and needs to be shut down. Puppies in a mall is never a good idea, they’re living creatures and need a proper space to grow and learn proper behaviors for when they get older.

I got Millie in April 2021. She's been a joy! She's a great family pet and is training as a therapy dog. She has a wonderful personality. We'd definitely get another puppy at Four Paws and Tail. I know many oppose stores selling pets, but these puppies are very well cared for. My family already has several rescues as pets. We wanted the experience of raising a small breed puppy this time and wanted to be selective with temperament. It's not easy to find these types of puppies for adoption at a rescue. I spent months contacting breeders and was met with 1-3 year wait-lists for a puppy. I waited on one list only to be told when I got near the top that the breeders were retiring???? I went to Four Paws after exhausting other avenues for finding a puppy to add to the family. I was meet with caring staff, procedures that kept puppies safe, and the minute I met Millie I knew she was coming home with me! I'm thankful that the store exists for all the families testifying to finding wonderful dogs here.

If you go here they will constantly rush you and make you feel like a second class citizen. They are rude, callous "people" who are uninformed about their breeds, dog care, or anything pet related. Puppy mill and they know it too, which is why they try so poorly and idiotically to defend themselves. If you shop here you're just as bad as the lowlifes who own it and their employees. The fact that this store is in a dying mall speaks to the store itself- it's dying. And WHEN it does finally die, people will cheer and pray for your destituteness

These sort of places get their dogs from puppy mills. For those who don't know, a puppy mill is an inhumane high-volume dog breeding facility that churns out puppies for profit, ignoring the needs of the pups and their mothers. They come from terrible conditions and are treated poorly. Do your research. Rescue a dog instead! If you absolutely think you need a purebred, buy from a legit breeder. Not this place.

I spent 2,500 on what I thought was a Yorkie. I DO NOT have a pure bred Yorkie. I have had 5 in the last. She is sweet and I love her but I did NOT get what I paid for. This place is a rip off. Should have known known when I didn't get papers.

After months of looking and applying at adoption places for a new puppy. All of those places turned me around due to judging people for no reason.✊???? I found my new best friend at the highest cost I’ve ever imagined I’ll ever pay for a dog. Thanks guys I’ll be back any day????

Do not buy from any pet shop. Regardless of what the owners say, these dogs are from mills. There are plenty of undercover videos showing that pet shop owners will blatantly lie and say that they're from breeders. Yes, the breeders are the puppy mills. You can usually tell if they're from mills if they have designer breeds. You can bet that every pet shop supports mills. Do your research and find a good local breeder or adopt at a shelter please. It's 2021 and pet shops like these are still around? Yikes.

Cute pet store. Would be nice if you could actually go in and see everything they have to offer. They have it closed off and you can only look through the window
