I needed to get my puppy in for a eye infection, called several places nobody could see us soon. I called when they opened and was able to get him in the same day. He's very, very rambunctious to say the least! They had me come in to show how to give the eye drops. I'll be back if needed. Thanks for the prompt care!

Since Covid there’s now a big gap in communication regarding the care for my pet. Cannot go into the facility with my pet and talk directly to the vet about his health. Only curbside drop off and then phone calls. Still waiting for a reply from the vet about some ear drops that seem to be doing more harm than good for my cat. It’s been 4 days…

We LOVE Arden Shoreview! They know our pets and treat them like their own. They give great advice and always do what is best for our dogs. If you are looking for a vet, this is the one.

The service was okay. What bothers me about this place is the unsolicited advice. I feel like I was lectured and talked down to. I'm an experienced pet owner, so please don't tell me how to train my puppy.

I got a puppy over the weekend that was not feeling well. Arden Shoreview Animal Hospital calmed my anxiety and treated my pup with care and kindness. The nurses and dr were thorough and took as much time as needed to make sure I wan informed and comfortable. They did blood work and found what was causing my pup to be ill. They started us on a round of treatment right away. They gave me several samples of food and medication and packets of info on everything from housebreaking to vaccinations and everything in between. 5 stars! If you are looking for a veterinarian in the twin cities area, I would highly recommend Arden Shoreview Animal Hospital!

An emergency visit brought us to your clinic and I’m very grateful that schedules were accommodated to see my puppy. Our experience was extremely positive beginning with my call to your receptionist, being triaged by your vet techs and finally interacting with Dr. Westgard and Dr. Mayaka. Dr. Westgard saw my puppy and was very kind, patient, informative, and took her time to walk through medical options. Finally, I was not only shocked but delighted to receive a follow-up call from Dr. Mayaka. Working in healthcare, this is incredible service and the vets and staff at Arden Shoreview Hospital went above and beyond to demonstrate excellent care. Work brings us to Minnesota a few times a year and I will continue to bring my puppy back for additional check-ups. Thank you for caring for Osito! ❤️????

Arden Shoreview makes me feel like my pet is loved, and they always call him by name. They care for him & are happy to listen to any concerns I may have. Highly recommend this vet- all of the staff are just wonderful!

Finding great cat vets can be hard. I moved from Seattle and it was stressful on my girls. One of them needed an inhaler renewed and this place checked all the boxes. They were fast, efficient and kept it as stress free as they could. Communication was clear and on point. Dr. Mayaka was the best and the staff (from the appropriate social distance ????) was what has helped me decide this is where we will come back to.

This vet clinic is amazing. Thorough, kind, responsive, and passionate about animals. My cats see Dr. Mickelson and she is incredible. She was able to suggest some changes in my pets care where other vets would simply say “it’s fine as is” in the past (for example, my cat is very overweight but vets always say the food I’m feeding is ok. Dr M took the time to look at the specific food in detail and caloric intake, and now we have a new weight management food plan that is proving to be so much better for my cat). I felt very heard as a pet owner and I felt that she truly cared about the well being of my pets. The front desk and phone lines always have very pleasant and helpful people working; the customer service is amazing! Prices were also the same as any clinic I’ve gone to in the past. Overall 11/10!

They didn't let us walk in with our dog. Our dog got scared and snapped at the vet and other dogs because we wernt there to calm our dog down. Don't go to this terrible vet.

They provide very individualized care for my dog. He doesn't always see the same vet every visit but they take great notes so working with both of them whenever my schedule allows is very easy. All the staff are fun and friendly and have a passion for what they do!

The professionals at the Arden Shoreview Animal Hospital were sensitive and supportive during a tough decision we had to make with our beloved family pet. They have been good to work with through any and all health related challenges and decisions. I would highly recommend them to others.

ASAH is consistently a good experience. With 3 dogs, all with their unique needs, they are responsive, flexible, and helpful when the need arises. They treat my pets like their own, and truly convey their love for animals!

A Caring, friendly professional staff.

So disappointed. My husband and I wanted to establish care for our 3 dogs with this vet, as we are new to the area and looking for reliable care. One of our dogs had what we observed to be, a very painful ear infection so we brought her in last week, and paid $150 at that appointment, we weren't given medication for our dogs ear, only a cleaner. Fast forward to the weekend (post cleansing of the ear), and our dog is still in horrible pain. Rubbing her ear on the ground and whining. I look in the ear, it's still intensely red and full of discharge with a weird smell. We called and left a message on Saturday and then called first thing Monday morning. We were told we would have to bring her back in this week, if they can squeeze her in for an appointment. And we would have to pay another examination fee, 'ear smear' for $54, ear cleaning and the antibiotic for a 'higher estimate' total of $240. So between last weeks appointment and this weeks appointment we would have been spending almost $400 on what is a serious textbook ear infection. Also, now my dog has had her pain prolonged and it's hard to see her suffer. We did not mind, obviously, paying for the medication. However, we did not want to pay again for another examination when we were there at the end of last week for the same issue. I spoke with Heather who refused to even speak to the vet on our behalf and inform them of the situation. We were asking the examination fee to be waved due to paying for an examination fee last week, when she should have received medication for her painful ear infection. We were told tough luck by her. So we will not continue to give them anymore of our business, it's not the money, it's that they had zero qualms about prolonging the pain our dog has been in. I even pointed out this could have been miscommunication due to us having to stay in the car and having minimal contact with the vet care team. During COVID, some exceptions should be made, especially when it's at the expense of our dog. If that means waving an exam fee because something was missed at the prior exam, wouldn't you take ownership of that instead of throwing away business? If you value long term vet relationships, quality and CARING service for your dogs, do not take them here. We will be taking our 3 dogs elsewhere.

I could not say enough wonderful things about the whole staff at Arden Shoreview Animal Hospital. When I initially brought in my 20 year old cat, they treated him with such care and provided me with a couple of options with how to treat his acute health concern. They even followed up a week later with a phone call to check in and see how he was doing. I had to put him down 2 months later when his overall health severely declined. They were so caring and made the process comfortable for him. Seriously could not have asked for a better experience.

We used to bring our pets here when I was a kid and I remembered my parents always liking the people that took care of them. We just switched to this clinic after some having some less than desirable experiences at a clinic in NE Minneapolis and are so happy that we did! They have a very knowledgeable staff and it’s clear that they care about our pets and us as well. If you live in NE Minneapolis, it’s well worth the few extra miles to know that your furry friends are in good hands!

I've been bringing my puppy to Arden Shoreview Animal Hospital for the past two months and have really liked them! They are timely, easy to get in, thorough, and very willing to answer all of my new dog mom questions! And you can tell they love my little guy like their own! Highly recommend!

When your pet is having trouble, it can be a scary situation. These guys are professional and caring. They seem to really care about your pet and they see them more than just an animal. They see them as a family member. I live on the opposite side of the cities and I will still go to them with any problem my dogs have. They go the extra mile, every time. It is refreshing.

A kitten unexpectedly wondered into my life and with COVID-19 I could not find a reputable vet in Minneapolis who was taking new customers. I was luckily referred to Arden Shoreview Animal Hospital and I'm so thankful that they were able to take me as a new customer and check out my little guy. They were professional, very knowledgeable, and took the time to review all the details regarding care, food, vaccines, and etc. They truly cared about my pet, and were fantastic to work with. Overall, I was very impressed and will be going back for all future appointments. Would highly recommend to others!
