Petco Apple Valley, Minnesota

They were extremely under staffed. There was only 1 manger and 1 cashier working when I was in the store. A friend had been in the store just a couple hours earlier wanting to get 2 female guinea pigs. Since she doesn't know how to check the gender of a guinea pig she took the persons word that they were females. I went to visit and her son who is a vet tech checked the gender and both were males. Putting 2 males in with the females could have led to many unwanted babies.

Great clean well stocked pet store. Employees are helpful and friendly for the most part. Good variety of item's for your pet's.

Having the HomeoPet Feline UTI medicine in stock, was the reason I visited. Previously purchased a bottle from the Burnsville location but they are out of stock. This medicine is seriously the only reason why my elderly cat is still alive. It's a fabulous product. Your sales associates at both locations were very helpful and polite. I will be back for more pet needs in the future.

The workers are always helpful

I took my snake In to see if she was big enough to start feeding her large mice instead of medium. I talked with a reptile expert on Thursday about coming in on Saturday but Noone told the weekend crew. That took time out of their busy day to weigh her even though they were not prepared to do so. Thank you very much.

Went in for a walk in visit, my puppy needed her nails trimmed. Was told by the lady who worked in the grooming department that I needed to make appointment and that it couldn’t be done today. Which is funny because just a few days prior to that I had a friend bring in their dog to get her nails trimmed and she did a walk in visit. Should have asked her for her full name. They pick and choose who they want to give service.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Knew right where to find my goods. It's always fun to go here ya can't lose!

Do not go here for live feeders, they had dead Dubia roaches from July (it's almost Oct) and Hornworms that have had completely liquefied.

Went here to get my very first Hamster. Lady who helped me was very informational, new my indivisual pets needs personally and let me know of them, showed me the best kind of food for her, the best environment for her, and the best chew-toys for her. She helped me price-match with online prices which saved me so much, although in-store prices are a bit high. She even helped me bring my hamster and all my items to the register. I believe her name was Kylie. Excellent customer service. Will be shopping here more often!

The staff at the Apple Valley Petco were very helpful! They helped me pick out just the right hamster for my classroom.

The guy that helped me shop for my new/first Guinea pig was so helpful he help me get all the right things for her don't know his name but he was tall with long hair and the girl that rang me up was also a dear.

Its okay. Customer service is okay. Expensive. But one stop shopping is convenient.

Would be a better place if their employees didn't bring their politics to work. I don't go to Petco to talk politics and I don't want to hear it from their employees while I'm shopping. I won't be going back until this is addressed as it's happened my last 3 times there.

Has the filthiest bathroom in Apple valley I'm almost sure of it.

They went out of their way to take care of me and honor the price on an item that was out of stock at another location

The service are way too bad and not friendly. The staff selling the product not match the price on their website. I would leave a zero star if I can????????

Helpful staff, and closer to my home than the other pet store. Found a wide variety of cat food flavors in the brand we like (Whole Earth) and a good dry food (Blue Buffalo Weight & Hairball Control).
