Seems to be a really good doggy daycare. I love that they have the cameras on all day so you can check in on them occasionally. The transparency offered by the cameras makes me feel more confident leaving him there with all the other dogs and the caregivers. Sometimes I think there are too many dogs in one room with only one caregiver. But they seem to be able to handle it. The dog only goes once a week right now. He is so excited every time and is exhausted when he comes home. It is good for him.

In response to managers reply, here are my thoughts. I am trying to help this facility to overcome their systemic issues, rude or poor customer management and a rude follow up call. If you want to see why I called it a systemic issue, please read other feedbacks and one by Jordon S and few others. First, I respect rules and understand the dog safety rules and all. No debates on that. Charlie is a cute small pup, very well behaved and appreciated by your staffs not more than 90 days ago. And he lived and behaved very very well. It seems the concern is more about falling business revenue. And that you didn’t make must out of him this year. He has been boarding with you for over 3 years. Not once has he had any issues with other dogs or staff members. Understandable that Covid has impacted many businesses, and I will give you suggestions at the end of the review to improve your business. IMPOTANT NOTE: I was told the new rule at this Dogtopia was that it is now a weekly daycare program. They only cater to dogs that board with them at-least a day every week. That’s most likely a business policy change due to Covid revenue impact. We certainly don’t have a reason to put Charlie out there 4 or 5 times every month. Why create a separation every week if it’s not a necessity? So we parted ways with you. No big deal. Your policy is your business. Now most IMPORTANT point, I didn’t even observe that the manager had any emotional attachment to Charlie. As a pet owner, every pet owner expects that you would say something like “aww, we will miss Charlie”. And that you would let us know if policy changes again. Now recommendations that I promised: 1. Don’t fail in showing emotional attachment towards pets. This is better than those weekly marketing texts. By the way I always ordered those yogurts. That’s a good program, keep it. You do have a few other good ones, keep them. But improve on customer service please. It’s about pets comfort, not mine or yours. Give them LOVE please. 2. Consider membership based boarding where you can charge affordable annual fee, like Costco does. Create customer values. This will improve your base revenue. And pets don’t have to go thru 4 assessments every month! That’s so weird! 3. Birthday months celebrations. You possibly have it. And yes, I care about your rules and your business. It’s mostly because Charlie loved to be there. IT WAS HIS FIRST BOARDING HOME! He says he will miss it. Take care.

They've recently changed their over night lodging policy and now only accept lodging if your an existing weekly daycare client. We love using Dogtopia in the past. Hopefully they will go back to old policy.

Great people. My dog Jax loves the handlers and playing with the other dogs. Definitely recommend. I have used their boarding services as well as the dog spa and day care. It is nice to be able to check on my dog using the dog cams.

Dogtopia staff is very kind, knowledgeable and loving to my dog. They send me pictures everyday and answer my calls timely. I love the cameras so I can see my dog when she is not napping. They follow all of my instructions to the tee and very kind and professional. I feel so comfortable bringing my dog to Dogtopia.

They told me since covid dogs have more anxiety, so in order for them to keep him over night he must do another meet and greet, and three more full days of day-care before they can take him over night!!!!!!!!!!!! If you stop and think the weekends are prime time around there!!!! Weekends are booked for two months so this is corporate Americas way of filling there weekday schedule. So in my experience dog topia is a pile of filthy rags!! Never again!!!!!!!! Update: since this post dog topia has responded however I did not mention that my dog has already been there regularly for 2 years, and they still wanted a meet and greet and 3 full days of day-care,.......just proves my point further..........

The staff is so friendly and helpful. My dog got sprayed by a skunk the night before I dropped her off for boarding. She still smelled when I dropped her off in the morning, so I requested a bath for her. They bathed her in the Skunk Odor Remover that I left with them, and even /soaked washed her bed for me!

Even though I didn't board my 2 dogs, the Manger was very helpful. I had a hospital Emergency. They found a Kennel to board my 2 dogs Thank you ????????????????

Dogtopia of Utica has THE most amazing staff. The employees are the most attentive , personable , caring , knowledgeable and loving people. They seriously treat your dogs like their own and are attentive to your dogs personality and health . I can not imagine taking my fur babies anywhere else ♥️

Our meet and greet went extremely well. I was very impressed with the facility and all the employees. I appreciated getting a tour of the facility. The employees are friendly, happy, very good customer service, and answered all my questions. The facility is very clean and well organized. I liked the separate bins for each dog’s personal belongings and food. I also like the webcam very much so I can check on my dog throughout the day. Overall a good experience!

Love the staff,always friendly! I have 2 large pitbulls I bring regularly for nail trims and staff is amazing! They are so patient with my dogs, one has severe anexity and there's NEVER a problem!! I drive half hour ,are usually done in15min and won't go anywhere else !

The staff working the front desk is impeccable. Maddi knows every dog that walks in the door and just loves what she does. I have had superior interactions there every time I have walked in.

My sensitive pup, Tucker doesn't like getting a "PAWDI-CURE" his vet suggests drugging him, she even gave me medication to do that. The gals at DOGTOPIA got it done.... peanut butter and patience and confirmation telling him he is a good boy. His right front caused his stress...I am disappointed with his doctor for not noticing in the area of inflammation between his pads. Thank you DOGTOPIA Tucker and I will see you in 5 weeks for another PAWDI-CURE ????????

Do you value your time and money? If you do then PLEASE STOP taking your dog to Dogtopia. Consider taking them somewhere like Happy Dog, who isn't taking advantage of their customers like Dogtopia is. After having been a Dogtopia loyal customer for many years, I was recently informed, while trying to schedule boarding for my dog, that since our pet hasn't been there in over a year, they required that I bring him in for THREE SEPARATE daycare visits so they could re-evaluate him. I let them know that the only reason he hasn't been in was because of COVID-19 and that we hadn't gone anywhere. Our dog has an immaculate record of playing nicely with all dogs and his report cards have reflected this (keep in mind he had been boarded and had daycare there close to a dozen times in the previous couple years). I asked if they could just re-evaluate him during one day of daycare and they told me NO. So basically, I had to pay $30 per visit for three separate visits, just for the privilege to board my dog with them?!?! I can't think of a more blatant cash grab! Especially considering when we first brought our dog there years ago, they offered a free day of daycare to evaluate him. This company should be ashamed of themselves. I called Happy Dog in Sterling Heights and spoke with owner, Jim. He was incredibly accommodating and flexible. They offered a free day of daycare to evaluate. He even let me drop my dog off early and pick him up late for NO CHARGE. Happy Dog has a larger outdoor play area and still has live cams to check on your dog. Jim also informed me that many other dog owners, such as myself, have left Dogtopia and come to Happy Dog for this very reason. If you value your time and money, look elsewhere for your dog boarding and daycare.

Very good experience! Our (almost) 5 month old German Shepherd pup has fun, plays with a bunch of other dogs (good socialization) and best of all...comes home tired out and happy! Kind and caring staff with lots of patience! :)

Absolutely love this place! I feel like my dogs are being taken care of and watched well! The staff is very professional and helpful. Cannot express my happiness enough! Quinn and Violet are so excited to go back and play with all of their new friends.

Warm, cozy, friendly place for my dog to escape to When he needs some play time with his friends and when I need a little escape too. This place is beyond exceptional and I will take my dog here every time. They go above and beyond and take care of my little buddy perfectly every time. Marlie loves going to Dogtopia! The staff is awesome & caring and treat Marlie as if she were their pet. I love the fact that Dogtopia also provides grooming services! Since my groomer relocated her business, Dogtopia is able to provide her nail trims, baths, and brushings, and do an incredible job! Marlie loves going and especially loves the entire staff. I highly recommend Dogtopia for your pets!
