The staff is so great with animals.

I took my cat here to get groomed. The groomer accidently sliced part of his ear off. They "used fire to stop the bleeding" I found out later that day at home. I called and asked if my cat should get an antibiotic to prevent an infection. After giving it to him, he began to foam at the mouth. If my cat hadn't cried at home when he was scratching behind his ear, I would never have found out. I need an honest conversation as animals cannot speak. I never returned.

The veterinarian and her staff saved our sweet little Bambis life!! We were in the process of adopting her and she started having life threatening issues. My girlfriend and I took Bambi here multiple times because new things kept coming up. By the grace of God and the relentless efforts of this amazing animal hospital she is in great health! Bambi went from near death to so full of life! We owe it all to God, Luv n Care and Animal House of South East Michigan!

Choose another vet. Don't think twice CHOOSE ANOTHER VET. This review is based on 3 visits I've had at this place and I will never go to them again. The vet here is completely clueless and socially awkward. She doesn't know how to communicate with people. they are more worried about billing and overcharging you than communicating with their patients.

I was buying apoquel started out 160.00 then it went up around August to 216.00 now I come in today right now nov23 th 8:30 am Tuesday it’s $ 258.00 how did it change that fast it’s ridiculous!! Plus I called the day befor they told me it was 216.00 ! It’s sad how are are taken advantage of ! After this I doubt if I ever own another pet it’s getting out of hand with these vet prices we are being taken advantage of. We are not rich it’s sad and ridiculous!!!!!!

I took my 14 year old cat who has never had any difficulties with vets in the past to this place. She had to get follow up bloodwork done after an emergency visit elsewhere (to which they did not have to sedate her and said she was a good cat). The walls were a bit thin and perhaps that was what made her scared and nervous, as she could hear the dogs whining and crying in the other rooms. Nevertheless, when the vet said they would have to keep my cat for two hours as he couldn't feel that her bladder had any liquid, I did not think much of it. It wasn't until the vet tech carried her out the room by the scruff of her neck with no posterior support and holding her as if he was scared of her that I considered taking her back into my care and going elsewhere. When I returned two hours later, they advised me she had to be sedated because "She wouldn't let anyone touch her", I was a bit flabbergasted. She only groans and growls and does not lash out at anyone. We got home and I tried to let her out of her carrier and had to lift her out as she was heavily sedated and stumbling all over the place. She is the most friendly cat in a vet setting and has often been described as a sweet girl by the vets and vet techs at other places. Perhaps, based on all the reviews I've seen of this place, this is more of a dog friendly vet hospital and they don't deal with cats too much. I only took her here because it's close and there were 300 reviews with most being five stars and her regular vet has a two month wait period. Read other reviews before coming and see which are actually legit ones for cats before you consider taking your cat here. They are friendly to humans and dogs for most part but I did not have a fast experience nor a pleasant one with my cat. I can't recall if the vet wore a mask, I barely got his name. The techs wore masks. Nevertheless we unfortunately won't be returning here. Just not the right fit for us although the location is great.

I have a puppy but I also have an allergy to cats so I try to schedule my appointments during the work day when the vet will not be as busy. For my puppy’s previous set of shots they kept me waiting so long I was breaking out in hives when I left. The total visit was around 35 minutes from check in to check out. This is a lot for shots and a physical that lasts less than 5 minutes but I do like the doctors here. My puppy’s last shots they kept me waiting for over an hour. I went to the desk 20 minutes in just in case they forgot about me. No apology. No excuse. Apparently they think it’s fine to waste people’s time. Over an hour passed and I still was not seen. When the doctor came in and she said she didn’t know that I was there. That no one had told her and they must have been on Facebook or something. There were only two other people there when I arrived. When I checked out a different vet tech did apologize for the wait which is appreciated. But if there are only 3 customers in the building and 3 exam rooms, how do you lose track of one of them? I’m not sure I’ll be back.

We took our dog "Little Bear" to Luv and Care for a wellness check and possible ear infection. It was a great check up. They were quick and we were in and out in thirty minutes. More importantly, they were very thorough and gentle with LB! Thanks from LB our big boy!

First off took forever to get into a room and then even longer for them to get into the room. None of the workers wearing masks. Unfriendly staff. The vet spent no time with us. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My dog was up to date on her rabies vaccine as stated in the paperwork they asked for. The vet came in and already had the rabies shot drawn before even asking if my dog was up to date on it. We said hold on one moment and went to go look at her paper work. The vet then stated “no she needs it” and proceeded to give my dog the vaccine before we could say anything. Worst place ever. If you care about your animal don’t bring them here.

We’ve only been to Luv N Care twice with our pit mix. Both times we’ve been treated well and provided with very responsive care. We’ll keep coming.

The doctor is very good. She gave me all the odds in my dogs surgery. The surgery went well and the after care excellent. The price was very reasonable. I am thankful for her taking such good care of my dog.

A good place to take your animals

They are very attentive to the animals. We have a Cane Corso that is just turning 4 and he loves it there. They love him when he comes! We had a scare when he was about 1 1/2 that almost killed him. He had to have surgery and they saved his life! Now we have a new puppy and she is also a Cane Corso. This is and always will be the place to bring our dogs. My husband will drive to come back no matter how far we live! They also offer overnight boarding. If you love your animals and want the vet you take them to love them, this is it!
