Love Dandy Acres! We adopted our precious Bailey from their rescue and we loved how well they cared for him and made sure he was going to a loving and caring home. We are east siders but it is worth the trip to bring him to Dandy Acres where we know he is getting all the love and care he deserves. We can go away and not feel guilty leaving him, and that is such a good feeling. Thank you Dandy Acres for loving our Bailey!

We had a great first experience at The Dog Lodge. I popped in there to ask some questions about daycare while our 8 month old puppy was seeing the vet at Dandy. Front desk was helpful and took the time to explain what a day for Bo would look like. After chatting about some anxiety he has with enclosed spaces, I was told that they would try to accommodate a bigger kennel during rest/lunch time whenever possible. When I picked up Bo after his Intro day ( a few hours later), I was given an update on how he did playing and kennel time. I appreciate the extra effort so Bo will be back for sure.

Great place to send your dog for daycare or boarding. The Dog Lodge is clean, efficiently operated, and reasonably priced. Our dog has a blast coming here!

My dog has been going to Dandy Acres for a few years. The staff is very attentive to your dog - despite Terrible Management. Her hostile customer interaction & abrasive treatment toward the dog owners was finally enough for this customer. Dandy Acres Management attitude toward customers and her own staff is a clear indicator on why it is hard for this establishment to hold a steady staff & create an atmosphere anyone would want to work at.

The place seems great! I have only used the day-care service once so far. I like that the dogs play in groups for most of the day. They are not stuck in a cage, only getting 20 minutes play time twice a day. My dog came home exhausted and slept well that night. She has a lot of energy so this was great for her. I have not gotten a tour yet but that is my fault. I will be doing that soon. The cost is reasonable. They seem to be busy and dropping your pup off can take a few minutes because a lot of people use the day care. So be patient and keep some distance between the people dropping off before you. The pups will have plenty of time to play after they are checked in. I also love that they have a vet next door. The only thing I am not a fan of, and the Dog lodge is not the only place to do this. The animals are left alone at night. There's no human on site. I understand there are cameras, but no one is watching 100% of the time. For me it defeats the purpose of boarding your best friend. Your paying for them to be watched and protected day AND night. This bothers me but most people are ok with it. I worry about fire and the dogs being trapped. Or if a pet is getting sick, or flooding, even some one breaking in and doing harm. I wish someone was on site all night doing homework while watching the monitors. Walking around and checking on the animals every couple of hours. I would pay a few dollars more to help cover that person's wage. Just for peace of mind. You're paying for a service. It seems you only getting a part time service.

Fantastic Atmosphere and care!. I live 45 minutes away but I always use the Lodge because my dogs have so much fun and I know they are being really well taken care of

We always board our dog at the Dog Lodge at Dandy Acres. It's great having piece of mind that our vet is in the same building in case of emergencies. Our dog is always thrilled to be there when I drop him off, and he is exhausted when he comes home. They have separate areas for different sized or aged dogs, and a large outside area for all the dogs to play in. Overall, it's a great option for either overnight stays or daily daycare for your dog.

Staff is wonderful!! Our German Shepherd loves it there! We have used the Daycare and the Boarding and have been happy with both. We trust them to care for our dog as they would their own!

Knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate. The Dog Lodge cares about both the dogs they take care of and the owners of those dogs as well. Always clean and always reassured your dogs are left in capable hands. Great relationship with the vet staff (Dandy Acres) directly next door and often will communicate with the vet staff in case of illness/emergency. Highly recommended!!!

Our pup has been going to the Dog Lodge for about a year and a half for various overnight trips. He doesn't pull on the leash to try to escape and actually trots in which is a good sign to me that he enjoys his time and the people there. Whenever we drop him off they greet him by name.

I recommend Dandy Acres Daycare and Lodge. Our dogs, Marty (Doberman) and Duke (lab/Great Dane) love it. They have been there for doggy daycare and for lodging. The people here are super friendly and very good with the dogs. They even have bath time, nails trimmed and teeth brushed. Marty and Duke (along with their parents) highly recommend Dandy Acres Daycare and Lodge to your 4legged children. Tell them Marty and Duke sent you; you won't regret it!

Called to have our dogs (Rottweiler & French Bulldog) boarded for our wedding on a friend's recommendation. We were told that the French Bulldog was able to come but not the Rottweiler due them not taking "power breeds". When asked if they took Golden Retrievers or Labs we were told yes so clearly this is because he is a Rottweiler. We have been breed shamed on multiple occasions and I normally attributed it to lack of knowledge or just plain ignorance. Never did I anticipate having to deal with this from a veterinarian or so called "dog people". I will be spreading this information on as many social media outlets as possible.

This facility DISCRIMINATES against certain breeds of canines, those they call "power breeds". What is a "power" breed, you might ask? American Bulldog, but not a French? German Shepard? Labs or Retrievers? How do they categorize a lab/rottweiler mix who happens to appear more Lab than Rot? It's subjective, I suppose. I can understand an uninformed public having a bias against certain dogs, simply because they tend to believe whatever the media feeds them. However, it's shameful when an "animal hospital"/veterinarian does it. They should know better than to paint with a broad brush. Maybe they could try what other, better, kennels do... conduct an "interview". Meet the animal BEFORE casting aspersions. Very disappointing visit, very disappointing. And if the front desk staff is any indication, may not be the friendliest place you could board your "face chewing, child eating, monsterbeast" you call Fluffy.

We've had a number of really positive experiences at Dandy Acres with our German Shepherd. The staff clearly takes very personalized care of each of the dogs, and we are so grateful for their attention. Our dog comes home exhausted and happy from all the play and attention. Thank you, Dandy Acres :)

Tilly has been going to The Dog Lodge for about 3 years and never had a bad visit. She gets so excited when she knows she's going and very happy to see everyone so she can get her hug. I would recommend The Dog Lodge to anybody.
