Receptionist has no sympathy for Animals is very rude if you love your animals do not bring them here

Great prices. Very caring. True to there word. Honest.

Happy with the veterinarian but the receptionist (nicole) that she had working for her is awful and because of that we are changing vets.

I had a great experience there at my last appointment.

Amazing service. They will be my vet from now on. They got me in next day as new patients on a Saturday! I couldn't even get my fur babe into the emergency clinics. Caring, patient and understanding. I hope they don't mind but, I'm recommending them to all my pet patent friends.

Original rating of 5 stars —> Salem Veterinary Services has the best vets for the best price! The staff isn't always the friendliest but they are efficient and get the dob done right! I have taken all 6 of our animals here and they receive great care! new rating as of 12/14/2021 —> I no longer stand by these statements.

The vet is great the receptionist is probably the rudest person you'll ever speak to. She will act like you're the stupidest person alive and that you're bothering her when you call her.

I called as they were recommended for our new kitten. I asked a question 3 times before I got an answer. It was a yes or no answer required. They were extremely rude and yelled at me over the phone. I don't care how great their vets may be first impressions mean a lot.

I love this place! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Nicole made my day - it’s nice to talk to someone with so much energy! Everyone there was helpful and kind. Our poor little guy needed lots of love. I won’t go anywhere else.

This clinic deserves no stars. The two Vets on staff are knowledgable, but they do not know how to hire decent clerk staff. Nicole and Kim are two of the worse. They are both rude, abrupt, and uncaring. My 13 yr poodle had to be euthanized and I was told at 8am they could fit in in at 6:30 pm. Mind you, the dog is sick at both ends and crying. That is just wrong. I have read other reviews all cursing the front desk help. These Vets ought to read what is being written and make changes. Compassionate Care- AEC took my precious girl immediately, gave me all the time I wanted before the procedure started and I could stay afterwards as long as I wished. They were compassionate, kind, and treated Izzy like they had known her forever. All those involved in her last hour signed a sympathy card. I have not had a text, email, card, generaic card or phone call from Salem Vet expressing this loss. Stay away.

Great staff and very reasonably priced.

I've been bringing my cats here since I got them 6 years ago. Always great, fast service and as painless as possible for the animals.

Ann and her assistant are awful vets and human beings. I would NEVER recommend anyone going here. A butchered surgery resulting in 2 months of healing was ridiculous. Ann’s assistant and the front desk lady are rude as hell and hang up once they feel the conversation has ended. This place shouldn’t be in business. Disgusting people.

2nd encounter with RUDE receptionist and judges clients. I have read several bad reviews about her. Management should handle this.

They are a wonderful, old school vet clinic. Dr. Dobson is wonderful!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Dr. C and the team truly care about animals and are extremely knowledgeable. They will do anything for your pet. I know when I was looking for a veterinarian, I wanted someone with knowledge and that I could trust to take care of my animals. This place is it! The negative reviews are based on experience with the staff, not on animal care. I personally love everyone on the team here and if you give them a chance, I promise your pet will be in the absolute best hands. I will forever be thankful to this group for the care they have given my fur babies.

Lady at the front was rude and unhelpful

I have come to Salem Vet for years and years! I trust them with all of my fur babies!

The receptionist was so rude and unpleasant it was hard to even try and schedule an appointment. She asked questions that I tried to answer and she was so annoyed at my responses. Having been to the vet in the past I know the Doctors are better than the service in the front of the office but it makes it hard to leave your pet at a place where it seems obvious some staff doesn’t want to be at.

The doctors are excellent. They are always willing to make payment arrangements for me, as I am an older single woman single income household. Dr Yates is especially wonderful all the way around. The staff are horribly rude and unprofessional. Nicole is especially rude and aggressive. If you can afford to go somewhere else, do it.

I do not personally use this veterinary clinic, however, I tried to call in a refill for our elderly parent's dog and the receptionist was down right rude. First impressions mean a lot. I can't believe that the owners of this clinic would want their reputation tarnished by a rude, uncaring, very unprofessional receptionist.

The highest quality of care found anywhere. The care my dog received from Dr. Calender and Dr. Yates is second to none. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Cavander is just the Best!!

The doctors here are excellent and truly love animals. The prices are very reasonable and we drive an hour to take our cats here. That said, be prepared to wait regardless of your appointment time, and don't expect much sympathy from the receptionist. I sat for over 2 hours with a petrified cat surrounded by a half dozen or more noisy, yippy, overheated dogs of every size. The dogs were well behaved, even the puppies, but for a cat who doesn't live with dogs, it was very scary. I mentioned it to the receptionist that my cat was terrified of the noise and she blew it off. Poor furball had peed himself in terror :( .... Thank goodness the Doctor was far more sympathetic and promised to have a word with the receptionist. GREAT place for dogs, great doctors, but if your cat is terrified of dogs you may want to keep him in an air conditioned car while you wait!
