Awesome place and great people

Honestly, I give this place no stars. Very unprofessional AND inconsiderate AND unreliable. My friend called because her puppy was literally dying and they told her that they weren’t taking in any “new” clients. I don’t recommend coming here for any emergency. It’s giving very much EMBARRASSING.

They were very professional, and gave a great diagnosis of my dog.

We had to put down our two elderly dogs for health reasons. It was the most difficult thing we've ever had to do, but Dr. Richards was so compassionate throughout the whole process. He helped them pass peacefully and helped us get through it emotionally, even coming in on his day off so it could be done without delay, knowing how it was hanging over our heads. We could not be more grateful to Dr. Richards for his compassionate and loving care of our girls.

Dr. Jeff has been my vet for 20 years. He is gentle, caring and always makes time to help.

Dr. Jeff Richards is caring, wise, calm, and thorough. When my senior Brittany was having what I thought was a eye issue, Dr. Richard's saw us the same day and quickly diagnosed that an upper molar was inflamed and likely infected. The tooth problem was traveling up a nerve and affecting his eye. I am impressed and grateful for the caring and professional demeanor of this team.

Never had a vet show as much care and compassion, for even the routine stuff. Recently had a dog put down and Dr. Richards even said a prayer with us as she was crossing over the rainbow bridge. Will NEVER go to another vet as long as Doc is in business!!

Dr Richard's has taken care of our fur barbies for over 15 years. I appreciate his caring and compassion . He truly cares!

Wonderful family run business. Myself and my family have taken all our fur babies there for years. I credit their knowledge, kindness and care to my best friend living a long and wonderful life. I can’t praise them enough for everything they have done and how much we appreciate this office. I highly recommend.

We adopted our dog and had not found a regular vet yet when she got sick. I called 5 vets before I called Dr Richards and they were all going to be at least 1 week before they had an opening. When I talked to the receptionist at Dr. Richards office, not only did they fit me in quickly, they also put him right on the phone so he could assess what was going on. That was amazing! Our experience at this office has been great, plus they are reasonably priced.

Dr. Richards, Nancy and Max have taken such good care of my cat Lily the past two years. I had just moved to the area and was having trouble getting a prescription food order filled when I called St. Joseph Veterinary Hospital. Nancy was on top of it, helping me get the RX transferred and when I went to pick it up Dr. Richard's asked some questions about Lily and sent me home with some treats for her. Lily wasn't even a patient yet, but I knew then that I had found the right place for her.

Dr. Jeff, Nancy, and Max are like a members of our family.

Used Dr. Jeff for years. He is great and very attentive.

Super impressed with the staff here. We called on a Saturday morning when our cat was having a hard time breathing and they got us right in. The vet looked at her and sent us right to the emergency clinic in Kalamazoo. He got us the address and the phone number and didn't even have us pay on our way out. Our cat did not end up making it, but we were touched by the concern staff showed us

Dr. Richards is fantastic! My pug Jack has been ill and he fit me in right away (new patient). He was very kind about Jack not being at the vet for a while (financial problems). He was caring and very good with Jack. He took in account my financial situation and came up with a plan to get Jack healthy again. I was scared that Jack had CHF but it turns out it is bronchitis and he will be ok after his meds and rest:) THANK YOU DR. RICHARDS!

Dr Richards is nice, but outdated. The technology they have can't transfer information to other vets sufficiently.

Dr. Richards is simply the best. Dr. Richards has been our family veterinarian for over 40 years. He and his team are always there when your pet needs them and compassionate when you need them.

Simply a great vet, kind caring. He is wondering with my two Chocolate Labs.

We LOVE Dr. Richards and his staff. We have taken our pets there for over 6 years now and they have held our hands while we lost 2 of our beloved pets. He provides excellent care, but even better, knows his limits and when to refer to a specialist. He has been a great care giver to our pets and even emotionally to the rest of the family.
