We always have a positive experience with the staff of Animal Alley; through the happy times, and the unpleasant ones too. They take good care of our pets, and are sympathetic when the worst happens.

The vet is very sweet and takes time to answer questions. Couldn't have asked for a better vet.

Absolutely the best available. Dr. VanDale has saved my dogs life when other vets didn't have a clue. He is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I can't say enough about him or his staff. I have had friends and family tell me their vet was cheaper, but after having issues and taking their pet to Animal Alley, they also will no longer go anywhere else. If your pets are like family (mine are), then know you can trust them with your pets health.

The staff did an amazing job helping my baby Jibs feel better when he came home with the kennel cough. My husband and I were pretty scared when he came home so sick. Animal Alley got our dog Jibs in right away and he was feeling better in know time at all!!! I would definitely recommend Animal Alley Veterinary to everyone!!! The staff members were so professional and compassionate. Thank you for taking such good care of our baby dog "Jibs"

I came in earlier today with my baby Clover the rat. She was dealing with a bad tumor and at her age... it was only right to send her off as humanely as possible as she was likely not to wake up after the anesthesia. The vets here made sure that Clover and I had the proper time to say goodbye, and walked me through every step of the process. I have never needed to put an animal to sleep before, and it was very difficult to be there but I'm glad that I did so with this wonderful staff helping me through it all so that I could be there for her until the very end. My lucky Clover was a rescue from a bad hoarding situation in IL when she was a baby, has been with me through two PCS moves, attended all of my online streams as a beloved shoulder-mascot, and was even there for my daughter's first steps. It's also thanks to her that not only my husband but also other friends and family began to look at rats as the wonderful pets they are instead of the bad stereotype of 'plague holders' they're given. One wouldn't think that such a tiny little rat would be so loved, but she was and still is. Thank you Animal Alley for helping her go peacefully, as deserving of such a special little rattie.

Hmmm heard great things about this place. Took our two dogs for a round of shots with the only problem being it took about an hour and a half past our appointment time before they were seen. Then this past week our doggo was pretty sick so I gave them a call and they pretty said sorry we are booked. Didn’t offer any options. Kinda disappointed.

Took our dog into the office for a vaccine today and they did unnecessary blood work that we did not ask for, but are saying that we asked for. This has never been a problem until the new doctor there, they had always been great and asked about everything before they did it. And this is the only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1. Trying to resolve but being told that "it's in the notes" and they will look into it but sounded like they did not take my complaint seriously. Someone we know has also had this happened since the new doctor started.

First time visit. The staff was incredibly friendly and my dog was super relaxed. I felt that I was heard and my dogs needs were definitely met.

My puppy was injured Sunday night, spent all day Monday calling every vet in bay, Midland, and saginaw counties, not a single 1 would take him in. Called Animal Alley first thing Tuesday morning and they took him in and cleaned him up that same morning. Thank you so much for your time and my peace of mind! We'll see you in 2 weeks for Nibblers follow up. He's already doing better today and starting to play again!

I do think that animal Alley can be a bit pricey at times but they take very good care of the animals. They always love on my fur babies and treat them with respect. They're not only my regular vet for most of my animals but they are usually the emergency vet that I use as well.

My wife & I have been going to Animal Valley for almost 2 years and pre-covid they were amazing, since COVID the service and quality have absolutely tanked. We rescue animals and currently have 7, (4 dogs, 3 cats) and have literally spent thousands of dollars there. Three days ago I attempted to order a new batch of heartguard for my dog Blaze, who is a 7 year old shepherd and has been on heartguard for years. We have previously purchased heartguard from Animal Valley, however, this time we attempted to order through Chewy Pharmacy to save a little money because we already spend THOUSANDS with them. First order they did not respond to the request from Chewy after 48 hours. I submitted a second request for the same thing and they declined it saying Blaze needs to be seen by the Vet before they will authorize Chewy to sell us heartguard. THEY JUST SAW BLAZE IN MARCH for a full spectrum of vaccines and a check-up yet they're telling me he needs another $90+ dollar vet visit so I can get more of a very basic once a month medication he is already taking. Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous way to treat any customer. *Edit: Responding to the owner - getting the test is not the only way, you also have a waiver to skip the test to sell the heart guard. I know this because I’ve signed the waiver for my other animals. I understand you prefer to do the test annually, however if he has been on it consistently for years he shouldn’t need the test unless the medication doesn’t work and doesn’t do what it says it does? However if it does work, and he’s been on it, why was I not offered the waiver option like I have been for my other animals? A simple phone call and getting the waiver signed would have been the solution to this. I did change my 1 star to a 3. You guys do do good work and my animals are healthy and taken care of. However, the wait times and over booking are insane, but getting better, and I respect that you responded to the review. I would still like my heart guard approved though please.

Do not go there unless you want to be ripped off and treated rudely! My cat had an ear infection and was prescribed eardrops that were supposed to be refrigerated BUT no one informed me and it was not labeled that it needed to be refrigerated!! So this very expensive medication lost its potency and was a waste of money. When I called to ask why I wasn’t told it needed to be refrigerated their staff blew it off like it was no big deal and expected me to now refrigerate it and continue giving it. Also my cat had a reaction to another medication and was sick and the staff took several hours to get back to me after I called and messaged them. I honestly felt like they didn’t care and had no understanding or compassion. This is not the place for me or my cat.

It has become time to let our Delilah go. The cancer is taking over. Animal alley told me that they could take care of her. They told us they would call us back with an appointment time to bring her in to euthanize her. The lady that I spoke with was very nice. The woman that my wife spoke with didn't seem to know what was going on. . She said she would call back. Did they never did. The following Monday I called again and they stated that they were no longer going to help us and they were no longer taking any new patients. Thanks for letting us count on you and making our dog continue to suffer because well because you're garbage.

My story is very long so I'm going to try to make it short. I took my dog in as she could not deliver her puppy. My options very limited and expensive of course!! Then they gave me the option of surrendering her. They said they would help her out and give her to a rescue to adopt her out. Of course I love my dog and wanted her to live !!! I went home called to check on her in the evening they said she was still in surgery. I thought about her all night called first thing in the morning and said I don't care I'll go in debt I will pay whatever can I bring my dog home? They said it's up to the rescue they will call me back! Of course no call. I called back later and asked what rescue is she at and they said they couldn't give me that information?? Run around after run around until I said I believe she never went to a rescue she was euthanized. Then there was a great big turn around they had a real nice lady call me who wanted to give me the number to the rescue. They wanted to mail me a paper about the rescue which they said I should have received it from them that day!! I still don't believe my baby went to a rescue!!! She was in surgery late like there closing time and gone when I called first thing in the morning!! I think it was all a lie!!!

I took my cat in for a URI on 9/23/2018. They did great. Now.. a year later I took her back in for a flea allergy. NOT A URI and they told me t I just brought her in last month for a uri when I never did she. They mixed up paper and got dates mixed .. now my cats life could be put on hold for her lack of care and people not doing here job right from this place . I pray and hope they find better service . Sad

I like the people here and our pets have always been taken well care of. I'm withholding a star because the last three times I have visited I had to wait 40 minutes past my appointment time. I don't know if they need a little more space between appointment times or a little more organization.

Yesterday I came home from the grocery store and my cat had vomited all over the house and was walking crooked like she was drunk. I called my regular veterinarians office and they said they couldn’t get her in for over 24 hours. At that time I did not know what was going on and I was not sure if she was going to be OK to wait that long. I was turned away by five other offices after that. I called Animal Alley and they were amazing and were able to get me in within two hours. There was a long wait, because I was squeezed in and I’m assuming because during this pandemic everyone is shortstaffed and overworked. So as nerve-racking and frustrating as the wait was sitting in the car with my sick animal, I completely understood situation and greatly appreciate all of their efforts to help my cat. Today she is doing better, not up to par but definitely a lot better…all thanks to Animal Alley. I highly recommend them, and I will be bringing all of my animals there from now on! They truly care about your pets and you. Everyone I talked to was caring and polite and wanted to help. I can’t wait until I can actually go inside myself and meet the staff & doctors in person. ????

Dr. John VanDaele is the best. He is the vet for our family dog and he is also the vet for other family members dogs. We've been going to Animal Alley Veterinary Hospital for many years and we have no intentions of ever going anywhere else. Thank you, Dr. John & Staff!
