I've never been in a reptile store that smelled... like this.. there are no words for how disgusting it was.

Have a wonderful experience every time I go here and get all the things that I need for my reptiles Hopefully I'll see you there you, Shop there and you will not be disappointed

My go to for my snake food.

Terrible customer service. Walked in and stood at front counter for over 5 mins. Not a single employee. Said hello a few times to try to get someone’s attention…. No one. Had to literally go searching through the store for an employee who was in the back room and had no idea I was even inside. Could have robbed the place or stolen animals and left without her even knowing. Tried to ask about bugs, very short one worded snarky answers. In the middle of my transaction one of her supposed friends walks in and she completely blows me off and starts talking to him about her new shoes. My cups of hornworms and Dubai roaches definitely do NOT have the listed amount of bugs on them. The Dubai roaches were supposed to have 24, there was 9 total in the cup. Horn worms only had 7 in the cup which I was told were supposed to have a ‘minimum of 13’ according to the employee that ‘helped me’.

My go 2 place...not anymore. Unfortunately they gave my HYPO BOA 5 MONTH OLD IBD I woke up to my snakes in knots dieing the worst thing I've ever witness. $400 for the snake another 400 for her set up and food all down the drain and the pain of losing my baby girl Ferrari will last forever thanks alot for nothing

There was a dead Chameleon in a tank and the “baby” corn snake they showed us was anything but. Would not recommend.

It's awesome to see so many animals at once but it seemed highly unethical as a set up... very overcrowded conditions and there was just a giant tortoise OUT... I almost stepped on the poor guy. Plus there was a random baby snake sitting on top of his cage and the turtle case had busted glass like...?????

Never been there but I was food poisoned by Bankok Cuisine across the street and I have a hunch they're in cahoots. ????

They have roaches by the feeders and God only knows where else. Lady at desk wouldn't let me talk at all. She was kinda rude to us. Even when I called she kept over talking me and I said will you let me talk.

My son and I love this place????????????so many cool critters there. They sometimes let my son hold and pet the animal's when I come there to buy crickets for our toad and frog. I would recommend this shop to anyone loving reptiles or someone looking for a different type of pet.

if i could give zero stars i would. they just recently sold me a dumpy tree frog (which was honestly over priced…) more reputable breeders sell them for 50 whereas here they’re sold for 60! my poor baby chives was sick when i got him. i have one dumpy at home who’s happy and healthy so i knew something was off. i got him wednesday and he passed tonight (sunday) he was skin and bones when i got him and wouldn’t eat at all i tried horn worms, meal worms, and dubia roaches and nothing interested him. the conditions these frogs were kept in are horrible! amongst all of the other poor animals. i wish i would have read all of your reviews ahead of time. i would say buy from here to RESCUE these poor things but you can’t even guarantee they’ll live even a week out from purchase. i know they won’t give me my money back so there’s no point in trying. the employee didn’t even ask if i was experienced in keeping a frog. he rushed me into signing the paper about returns like he just wanted my friend and i out of the store. i’m so disappointed and disgusted. not just about losing my money but the fact that i know my little guy was suffering and i’m sure the others in his enclosure are too. i hope you guys see my review and the plethora of others that deal with the same thing as mine and rethink the way you all keep your poor animals. such a shame

First time going and it’ll be my last, first of all the store has a smell that makes your nose burn. I’ve gone to a lot of reptile stores and none have the smell like this one.. really crowded and have the poor animals very bad attended.. the staff didn’t even bother to cross a word with us to see if we needed anything so we ended up leaving. The cage setups are all wrong.

Gave me wrong size rat for my snake

Fantastic help from the whole crew, all the advice you could ask for, I have purchased a male bearded dragon (Spike) and a Russian Tortise (Blastoise) both of which were very healthy on purchase and are both going strong months later. Cannot tell how many time I've needed roaches and had to show at open to grab some, always greeted with a smile, and quick to run the sale. This pretty much is the only place I go for reptile supplies, and it is a 45min-1hr round trip, love you guys.

I always get mice to feed my snake, from here. Used to get feeder mice from the road show but my snake got some kind of parasite.

I just wish they had food the the animals they carry.

I always come here to save animals. My beardie had his tail bitten off. Too many animals in one cage standing on each other. Little turtles flipped over. Sad... The workers are nice tho

Employee was very knowledgeable and helpful

I got a beared dragon and its setup like tank, lamps, etc. there. Dragon itself is little pricy comparing with others like Petco, but guys at GLR has extensive knowledge about reptile and gave me nice advices. Also you can choose your pet from range of selections in the store. I recommend GLR for ones looking for a great reptile store.

Love this place. They are super nice and caring. Go there all the time for reptile food. They have live and fozen

I've coming here for years. I love it here; everyone is highly knowledgeable about reptiles. They don't make fun of anyone for not knowing how to properly take care of animals. They will politely explain what someone is doing is wrong then explain how to do it properly without having a customer get mad about it. I am also glad to know that they offer reptile baby-sitting and it ONLY cost $5 a day. theres a new assistant manager tyler; who is awesome knows a lot more then the old one lotus or whatever. I highly recommend Great Lakes Reptile

This is the best place to go for reptiles of all types, and all you need to feed and care for them.

Its trying to get better

My kids love stopping in to browse and see all the reptiles. We use it as a learning tool, checking out the different environments and what they all eat.

I buy everything I need from them
