We were referred to Rockford Animal Hospital by a trusted friend due to the nature of our pet's situation. On a five point scale, we would rate Dr. Good and her staff a 5.5 for the following reasons. We were in a safe, welcoming, and professional environment throughout our time in the practice. Dr. Good is knowledgeable, is patient, and is reassuring. She and her staff were competent, caring, and committed to our pet's welfare. Dr. Good listened intently as we explained our pet's symptoms, conducted a thorough examination to diagnose the symptoms, and communicated her findings. We reviewed and approved a detailed treatment plan. She discussed options, and associated costs. All of this information was in an easily understood form when we left the practice. In addition to the above, we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable her practice fees are. Our next appointment is scheduled and we look forward to our visit. I believe our pet is in agreement. Thank you Dr. Good and staff for an exceptional veterinary experience. We will recommend Rockford Animal Hospital to others. Carol and Dave Sevener

We brought our dog here for the first time last week for a new patient visit. We had previously taken our pets to a vet in Cascade but since we lived in Belmont it made more sense to transfer to Rockford Animal Hospital. Immediately we felt comforted by the staff and technicians. They and the vet took the time to explain everything to us and make sure we understood exactly what they were going to do before they did it. The physical exam was more thorough than we’ve experienced at our previous vet. Overall very happy with our switch to RAH!

Recently, we had to lay our sweet rescue Rott to rest. We were not established patients but the LVTs and Dr. Chad treated us with nothing but kindness and compassion. They did not try to shame or pressure me into any other treatment during this emotional time. The clinic has rubber grippy mats so the dogs won't slip and slide around on the tile. The staff also provided a fleece blanket for our old girl to rest on so we weren't just on the floor/mat. It was a very small gesture that meant alot to me. We will eventually add another 4 legged friend to our family again and when we do, I will be choosing this hospital to help us in the future.

My Mom and her dog were established patients and this morning she called to report a change in her dogs condition. My mom was told her dog could not be seen as an established patient in this office. We were directed to an emergency animal hospital where our beloved companion was euthanized by complete strangers. Shame on this establishment for not meeting the needs of their patients. I can’t believe our beloved pet was turned away as an established patient and sent away to be treated by complete strangers who didn’t know him or my Mom. Horrible! Please don’t go here! You will not be treated well and you will be sent away when you need help the most.

My current Vet had to close, so I had to find a Vet who could get my 8 year old Siberian Husky Kiba seen for a UTI. Rockford Animal Hospital was able to get him seen within a few days of calling, which totally impressed me considering other places I had called were either not accepting new pets or they were booked out 3-4 weeks! Mine & Kiba’s first experience was amazing!! Everyone was so friendly & caring! The Vet took his time with us & was very thorough! He gave Kiba a complete exam, which I wasn’t expecting him to do since the visit was only for the UTI. I was above impressed & totally happy, that I will be bringing my other two Huskies (Kiba’s son & daughter) there as well! Thank you to all of the staff, & keep up the great work!!

I took my do in to get a Vaccine and a good check up. the Dr. and assistant both took time to explain to me every step during the exam. Sam and I were very happy!

My pets have been going to RAH for years, and I have always been nothing short of impressed by them. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They always take the time to answer questions and concerns. This is by far the best vet clinic I have ever worked with.

Do not recommend!! Unauthorized treatments and bait-and-switch pricing scheme. I made an appointment for my super senior cat as a new patient recently moved to the area. I detailed the issues both on the phone making the appt and when dropping off the cat (due to COVID restrictions). The vet called after exam and was rather condescending about the weight loss (main issue I made the appt for) and tried to convince me to sign up for further exam under anesthesia and extensive dental work. Eventually she admitted to administering a sedative (without authorization from me) because of supposed agitation without knowing if there were an underlying liver issue that the sedative would've made worse. Come to find via the paperwork that they also clipped claws (again without authorization from me), which was wholly unnecessary as they were not overgrown and are required for his ability to maintain balance (again, a super senior cat). Beyond the severe lapse in judgment in treatment of my cat, they also have a bait-and-switch pricing scheme going on. I was offered the prices of the treatment I requested when making the appt. Come time for pickup, those prices were increased by $30 with absolute hostility when I questioned why they didn't match up. I paid just to get my cat released and got him straight in to another vet who correctly diagnosed a heart problem on the first visit and reported him as very well behaved, not at all requiring sedation even though I wasn't with him for the exam again. Save your pet and your wallet, go elsewhere.

Dr Good is a very thorough veterinarian. I have trusted my pet with her for 14 yrs. Het prices are on the pricey side but she is exceptional

So grateful to everyone here! My kitty has a problem with his tooth...called and they got me in so quickly...even with Covid and everything else. All the staff was extremely nice and explained everything to me..whether that was over the phone or when they picked up/dropped off my kitty to my car. Because of the virus, I had to drop him off and pick him back up after his was looked at. They called me within an hour after dropping him off with an update in which the doctor explained everything that happened and asked if I had any questions. Picked him up shortly after and we were on our way back home. I also get my dogs flea meds from here and they have a Dropbox making contact less pickup a breeze (and it only takes a few minutes to fill the rxs!) Can't say how impressed I am with the staff and doctor here. Thank you for taking such good care of my pets!

Our dogs go here every year for their shots and checkup. You can also get their heartworm pills and flea meds at the same time.

Dr Good has so extended the life of my 22 yr old cat. I took my cat to the best vets with the expensive credentials for many years. I decided to get a second opinion, actually a third- and was given Dr Goods name from my dog walker. She was beyond sweet to me and handled my dear cat as if she had known her for years. She took the bloodwork as I had done before- over and over for years. Dr. Good read it and had extended the bloodwork looking for something the previous experts hadn’t.She nailed it with finding pancreas issues. She has been my Godsend for the last few years. We are so blessed...Her passion for what she does shines through....

Dr. Good declaws cats and doesn't educate the owners about how bad it can be for the cat. I think your practices are disgusting and you should educate yourself and your customers!!! Shame. On. You.

My name now is Rose Johnson. My husband and I have taken our dogs to Rockford Animal Hospital for 6 years now... I called them on Tuesday Feb 25, 2020 to ask about pet cremation-our bulldog passed away... They were AWESOME. Very sympathetic. Very caring. They helped with getting Chrissy cremated. We received a sympathy card from them today 2-28-2020. That was completely unexpected! It shows they care about their patients and the human family.

I like the way the vet Dr. Good tells me all my options for my poms. She will also let me know the cost because lets face it, if its pricey and not an emergency it may have to wait. All the staff as well as Dr. Good explains everything in terms I understand.I have a 13 year old pom who always screamed and barked and tried to bite my last vet. Which resulted in the vet telling me to take her home and shes never been to the vet since until she developed a tumor. I took her to Dr Good with the warning of how my pom acts. Dr Good was calm.She basically sat and talked to me and let Grisham get used to being there. Honestly, this is the truth, Grisham did NOT act up at all. Dr Good was able to check her tumor AND clipped her NAILS!!! This is HUGE. They say animals sense the good in people. Dr Good is....great! She also told me about a care credit card which will help me pay for Grishams tests and surgery if shes healthy enough .I cant say enough about this Vet and her staff. Im blown away by how caring and patient and kind they all are. They really DO care about my pets and about me. Very understanding group! I totally trust them in caring for my fur babies.

We recently had to say goodbye to a dear family member, our cat Pixel. She (and our Husky, Atka) have been seen at Rockford Animal Hospital since we moved into the area. I have always had great experiences with Dr. Good and her staff - everyone has been extremely friendly and accommodating. I was extremely impressed with how the entire facility handled our trip in to say goodbye. They had a special room setup, a room that someone had clearly put thought into making a comfortable place for your family to say it's "goodbyes". Before, during, and after the procedure, the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. A few days later, a card arrived expressing their condolences, and included some flower seeds to plant on her grave. It's the little details like this that make me extremely pleased to be a customer of Rockford Animal Hospital. - Our thanks for making a difficult process, less painful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Good or her staff to anyone!
