Care Cat is the absolute best vet practice for my housemates; for over 15 years I've relied on the vets and techs to enable my little buddies to live the best lives (indeed, all 9 of their lives) possible.

Our cats (all 6 of them) have been clients of Cat Care PC for many years. Dr. Sloan and Dr. Taylor are very loving and caring vets who take the time to talk to us about our pets needs. They don't push tests to increase the size of the bill but instead discuss all options available to us and have even suggested some low or no-cost reatment options to help keep costs down. They make us feel like they are our personal vets who work exclusively for us. The staff is always smiling and friendly. If your cat needs care of any kind, we highly recommend Cat Care PC of Rochester Hills!

The doctors and vet techs are very caring of my cat. They explain everything and make recommendations on keeping your kitty healthy. I highly recommend them.

I, and my kitties have been clients at Cat Care for well over 20 years. They are close by which is a big reason, but they also have friendly personal who really love cats and my girls can sense that I'm sure. The vet's are very thorough and gentle with them. They don't come home traumatized! Especially now since you can't go in with them...????

Bring your cat elsewhere. I brought my cat in for her yearly check up a few months ago and was informed that everything was alright. In September my spouse called and said he noticed her breathing irregularly and asked for a checked up appointment WHICH WAS DENIED!! The tech told him that they didn’t have any open appointments. Yesterday my cat passed away because of cardiac arrest. She was 6 years old. Beforehand, I called cat care with an emergency. These were the questions I was asked: if my cat were a patient, how long has she a patient at cat care and then Paige proceeded to tell me “well, we are very busy with other clients right now” fine I get it. It’s a busy vet. But the astounding lack of of compassion was so upsetting. It used to be a good vet. Prices were reasonable, vets and techs were nice. They’ve made several mistakes with the heartworm medication for my cats and they always have this ability to turn it around and make it seem like I should be more understanding and that it’s always my fault. I have always been polite and kind, understanding even. Maybe this is why I have treated with less importance. Don’t be fooled by how nice they are. They’ll be that way when they can accommodate you and turn you away when you need them. Made a bad decision trusting my pet to their “care”.

Awful experience with the staff and Dr. Sloan especially. We were patients of record, with an upcoming surgery scheduled and called with an emergency issue on our cat. We were told they couldn’t fit us in and would have to wait until the following day. We expressed that our cat might not make the night and we were worried, to which we were told they were extremely stressed and busy themselves and couldn’t help us. They do not care about cats here and have shown that. Dr. Sloan called me back multiple times to tell me how rude we were being and that she is VERY stressed with her job during Covid as vets have the highest suicide rate…. Now, if you are truly that busy wouldn’t you care more about treating the cats in your office than calling BACK a patient to argue?? We ended up at 2 AWESOME places with our cat. They were super sweet people who charged about 1,200 dollars LESS than cat care and we got amazing results and were treated so well by ALL the staff!! They fit us in, doctor took extra time and steps for us and were overall just amazing to work with. 10/10 stars!!!! Dr Sloan and cat care should be ashamed to call themselves a vet, clearly they are only in it to price gouge people. Joke of a vet practice. In response to their comment, we were never called to ‘check on’ gabby next day. Dr Sloan only called to tell us not to come back. Must be another patient they are thinking of.

My cat Pearl passed away less than a year ago, and her health issues consisted of a long list. The vets and technicians at Cat Care are nothing short than the best for the preservation of quality of life for your companion. They were understanding of my Pearl's situation, and provided a reliable and effective care strategy for me and my partner, who took over her care from my family. As young adults, we didn't really know what we were getting into, but the people at Cat Care helped us navigate Pearl's challenges and gave us an affordable solution, and priceless time with her in her twilight years. Needless to say Pearl was my best friend- My brother found her in our back yard when I was 7, and was lucky to have her for so long. I can't thank the people at this clinic enough for that time. It's important to note that during the pandemic, Cat Care is a smaller clinic and if you ware looking for a reliable practice you need to plan ahead to receive the service you are looking for, and this goes for most places. Be considerate, and rest assured the staff will take care of your kitty.

Disappointed. My cat only needed to be spayed and had been to this business in the last six months. She is healthy. They made me make another appointment prior to the spay for preop blood work. I really didn’t want it done, but to get her spayed I went along with it.The charge was $550. This charge included physical exams for six newborn kittens that didn’t need anything ( I regret even bringing the kittens, because it drove my costs up. Anyways, fine I paid it. The wait for the spay surgery was over a month. I was mortified when the week of the spay surgery they sent me a quote for $582.00 to have the cat spayed. Nearly $1200 when all I wanted was my cat spayed. They don’t give you any other options. They said because my cat had flea bites it drove the cost up. My argument isn’t for the $500 preop bill, it’s for the $582 spay surgery. I won’t be back to this business. I had to cancel my cats spay appointment because I could not afford all this. Make sure you get your estimates well in advance because they charge much higher here compared to other vets I have been to. They are more in line with an emergency clinic fees (Blue Pearl not Wilson’s). I’m a nurse and I realize spay neuter clinics are run by students with a supervisor most likely. I also understand that booking surgery with an experienced vet of many years is much different than taking them to a spay clinic. But $582.00??? Come on. I paid you $550 a few weeks prior for the blood work. Off to a new vet I go. They don’t give you a choice and force the preop blood work and exam on clients. Also, my cat had been there in the last six months and had the same prior blood work done. If the owner is willing to accept the risks, why force them to keep getting this done. I never thought I would need to spend $1100 dollars to get a cat spayed. I am taking her to a spay neuter clinic. Appointment is made for 2/1/22. My point is, I understand business costs, but there is also “taking advantage.” Always request a quote as soon as you schedule any procedure here. Edited- this vet does not seem very emotionally stable to me. She forces tests on people to rack up their bill and I don’t think anyone would find $600 for a spay surgery as reasonable for a two year old cat. She also thinks she can affect me getting vet care elsewhere by writing lies in my animals’ records. Guess what? As far as I am concerned, my animals have had no prior medical treatment and am wiping my hands clean of this place. In addition she downgraded my profession by stating nurses had the same requirements as a 36 week vet tech cert program. Just shows you how ignorant she is. Tamara Sloan: avoid! If you look at all the one star reviews, they mention price gouging and poor bedside manner. If you can afford $600 plus $500 forced preop testing for spay and neuter, good for you. I can’t and I won’t pay it. When I get asked next where my cats have had care at, it’s Nowhere! ???? I have both appointments made for 2/1/22. I’m not cheap but I won’t be taken advantage of either. Stop playing the victim. I emailed you well before you called me. I also edited my review to remove “thieves” like you asked.

Brought our cat Daisy in for routine check up a couple of months ago was concerned with her weight they said her weight was fine and was released with a clean bill of health. She died today of heart failure. This place has no clue what they are doing or what to look for. Do not bring your pet here. We will not be returning needless to say. Please don’t respond to this with deflection and please do not try to shift blame. You guys are there to do a job and you guys failed miserably. Bring your x ray machines and ultra sounds and blood labs to my house so I can take care of my own cats properly. You guys do not know what you’re doing anymore and all you can do now is blame shift. Only you are to blame so grow up. Another thing that doesn’t sit well with me is they don’t let you inside the clinic anymore even with masks on and being vaccinated. For all we know they took out cat in and brought her back out without checking her at all. Shady practices. Don’t trust these people. There is a toxic work environment here. They’ve lost all direction for what they are their for. They need to close this place up permanently before another mix up happens. Our revolution was mixed up so many times we had to drive back several times to get that fixed. This place is malpractice waiting to happen Do not go here

We took our kitty in for a checkup following an emergency room visit. Dr. Taylor was such a breath of fresh air during a really anxious time for us and kitty. She patiently answered all our questions and ran all the tests we asked for. The entire staff was courteous and kind. Since it’s COVID we couldn’t come inside, but they called us multiple times during the visit to let us know how kitty was doing. We are so grateful to Cat Care and will be going there for all of our kitty’s veterinary needs!

My kitties always receive the best care at Cat Care. I’ve been bringing my kitties there for almost 20 years now. It’s not the closet vet to us, but we continue to make the drive because of the level of service and care given to our furry family members.

Take Your Cat Elsewhere for Dental Work Short version: We took our healthy, four-and-a-half year old, dry-food-eating cat in for a teeth cleaning and she came back with 12 teeth removed, including an upper fang. That's 40% of her teeth. No warning whatsoever. Long version: We've been going to this office for about 20 years. The vet we used see retired over a year ago, so this was our second year with one of the others. We have never professionally met her because since COVID hit they don't let you in the office and only the vet techs will come out to the car. The vet recommended a teeth cleaning after this year's check-up, as she did after last year's. We agreed because we thought it's good to get ahead of these things. We signed a release - single-spaced, double-sided - that mentioned "extraction" just once, in the context of things they would only do under anesthesia. Before this our cat happily crunched her dry food on both sides of her mouth on a daily basis. She also eager crunched on Greenies dental treats when we offered them. Every morning as I prepared her dish she would drag her upper fangs down my ankles as she rubbed past me. When we were play-fighting she would chew on our fingers and knuckles with no sign of distress. This is a cat whose teeth felt fine and were functioning fine. We took her in for the cleaning in the morning. We got a courtesy call when she was under pre-anesthetic, about 10 minutes from going under. Odd time to update us, I thought, but a good sign that we'd be updated if anything unusual popped up. Nope. The next call was when they were done and they informed me that they did some extractions. "What?!", I said. They didn't tell me it was 12 of them either. Her explanation was that x-rays showed little bone support under some teeth and that would lead to problems in the future, so it was best to remove them now. (Granted, three tiny teeth were wobbly, so they had to come out.) There are so many things wrong with the judgment that produced this outcome, I don't know where to start. First, if you don't think a cat owner wants to be asked for permission and informed prior to extractions of functioning teeth, you have no concept of your clients' devotion to their animals. (I would have said "No".) We talked to vets and vet techs after this and they were shocked that we weren't consulted. Second, extracting functioning teeth on the prediction that they won't in the future, without giving the owner a chance to modify their cat's daily life to prevent future worsening, is self-centered on the vet's part at the very least. At worst it's sociopathic. Third, under what protocol is x-ray evidence enough to remove teeth when they are not loose, not infected, and work fine? Fourth, who removes a fang if it's not loose or infected? I mean, wth? Lastly, if all of the above are they way the vet is going to continue to operate in the future, why is the release form and the pre-visit consultation essentially silent on the probability of extractions? So now we have a beautiful, playful cat who can't chew anything on one side and who is less beautiful half the time because her upper lip is catching on the tip of her lower fang, giving her a snarling look. We can't help thinking that we permanently damaged our cat by taking her to this vet. I never want to communicate with her again. I recommend you don't either.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The vet spent time to discuss the results of my cat’s checkup and test results. Answered all of my questions. I very highly recommend Cat Care. I trust them with my cat’s health and well-being.

Even during a pandemic the techs and the docs made sure to take their time and care with my very old and sick cat. Dr. Sloan spent quality time explaining his needs to us and wasn’t rushing to move ahead with her day. They really love kitties and it shows. Would highly recommend this practice!!!

My cat was sick and I needed to get her into a new vet since my previous one wasn't doing it for me. I was going to get her some shots, but her health took a turn and I needed a vet close to home that was a specialist in cats, specifically. I've driven by this location a million times, and decided it was time to book an appointment. While I'm still waiting on blood test results, I will say the doctors are fabulous here including the entire staff that works here. Even the receptionist was great! If you have a cat and want quality treatment, PLEASE bring your pet here. You will thank me later!

I have been a client at cat care of Rochester hills for over 20 years in that time they have taken care of many of my cats as we are always a multi cat family. All the vet at cat Care are exceptional and your pet becomes part of their family. They helped me with my Houdini who had a tumor in his liver that was not operable the vets at Oakland veterinary gave him 6 months with cat Care help just with medications whodini was with me for almost three more years. They help me with my Katie who had a heart condition and then develop seizures and with their care and knowing who to send me to for specialized Care Katie was with me for almost 3 years and passed at 18 years of age. I can't say enough about the quality at cat care and there's no place else I would take any of my cats.

Dr Sloan is my cat’s primary veterinarian, however, all the vets here are amazing! My boy had a strange condition and after visiting multiple vets Dr Sloan was the first to actually listen to my concerns and get him healed! I would reccomond Cat Care to anyone with a kitty!

Excellent cat care! It’s so worth it to go to an all-cat vet. They don’t miss a beat. They don’t push any procedures or tests, just inform. I moved away from this practice, still drive my buddies back there for their care

The doctors and entire staff at Cat Care are all so caring, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. The whole procedure when you bring your cat in is so fast and efficient! With our present COVID situation, they come to your car to take in your kitty in to be examined by the vet. The doctor calls you in your car and goes over her findings and recommendations for your cat. If any blood tests are needed, they can run the tests right there for immediate results, but they can also send them out (at a lower cost). The doctor calls with the results as soon as she gets them. They also email me a copy summarizing her exam and the results of any special tests. If I have a question and call, they are very caring and the tech either gives you an immediate answer or checks with the doctor and calls back. They call to check on my kitty after I bring her in for a particular problem. They are the BEST!

I really like how they treated my difficult cat like she is important and not a bother. The cost is reasonable. It was curbside pickup of my cat and delivery back and the vet called and spent time talking to me. LOVE this place!
