Every single time I call, I’m put on hold. I’m on hold as I’m typing, and I was just forwarded to voice mail after 20’ of wait. Completely unacceptable! Do not recommend this place!

With recent closure of a PetSmart, the overall wait time to see a vet (appointment) is much longer. But nice staff and doctors. Like all such places, expect pricey upcharge suggestions.

The front desk staff at this location were just the sweetest to not only myself, but more importantly to my fur baby! They went above and beyond on our last visit, so I paid it forward. ????

We have been taking our dog to Banfield Pet Hospitals for several years. Primarily the Auburn Hills location before it closed last year but now the Rochester Hills location. And when in Arizona we take him to the Peoria, AZ location. As far as the Michigan locations, the level of service has unfortunately deteriorated over the past few years (COVID aside). They also appear to have been hiring young Veterinarians with little experience and limited knowledge as the prices for services continues to climb. As for the Peoria location, I have been pleasantly surprised with the level of service and knowledge of the Veterinarians who appear to be more experienced and professional.

Definitely not a top rated vet clinic. You purchase an optimal plan which basically will include annual vaccinations and heart worm. Still have a sky high bill even with a supposed disconnect. I had over $350.00 bill for an ear infection and eye infection; even with the supposed discount. Calculating it with the monthly fee for the plan I am paying a ton. If you have a young, healthy dog this is not worth it. Also, the service is very poor and the front desk is unprofessional and can be rude. They push a lot of procedures and products which I do not like. They are unwilling and reluctant to give a prescription for medication to purchase at another sight, for example on Chewy. Asking around, my friend’s vets all give scripts to get medications, especially for meds you need regularly refilled. The vets do not seem especially competent. Also, they have a drop off procedure still in place. It isn’t where you even wait. For the eye/ear recheck my dog was there for six hours. This is a regular occurrence. You leave your pet and they are there for five to six hours. That is not caring or compassionate for animals or their owners. It is what is easy for this institution. That is inexcusable in my opinion. Then at check out after having my dog for six hours they asked about redoing the dry eye test. Seriously! Asking around hearing great things about Animal Advocates. I canceled my automatic renewal on my plan. Not at all impressed with level of care here. Vets in this area are a dime a dozen. There are many better get clinics.

Jeff, our Swissy Doodle, never comes back nervous or acting like she was torture (like she's experienced at other pet service places). She got her teeth cleaned under anesthetic and her nails trimmed and a couple of shots. They take good care and provide a very detailed report of the day's services along with a health assessment.

Banfield got me in last minute after a missed appointment with my primary vet. That was fantastic and they were kind enough. My only issue is the pricing, which is about 3x my costs at my actual vet. Great in a pinch, just save the money otherwise.

I have been going to this location for years. The staff truly cares about your pet. I sincerely experienced how much they cared about my dog Sasha when I lost her March 2021. I received a card in the mail from the staff expressing their condolences and sharing memories of my sweet girl. I'm thankful for the care and personable demeanor they gave her over the years. I will continue to use them when needed.

Horrible service, incomplete diagnosis, and WAY too expensive. I took my dog in who was sick, told them all the symptoms, and had to wait outside for almost 30 minutes in 90 degree weather with my sick dog before they took her. Several hours later, I come to pick up my dog and have to wait over 30 minutes to pick up my dog. Called the front desk over 10 times and no one ever answered during those 30+ minutes of waiting. They charged me almost $500 which is absurd! $65 of which was to inject water into my dog because she was dehydrated. How about a bowl of water? Or maybe not leaving a sick dog outside in the heat for 30 minutes. I don't know what they did to her while she was in there, but I am never exposing my dog to that kind of treatment again. I feel completely violated and ripped off. I write this to caution any of you against coming here and putting your pet, and your wallet, in their hands.

Helpful staff!! Willing to help you make the best choice for your animal while taking into count your financial needs. Banfield has a "pet insurance" that it worth it! It gives you unlimited visits.

We've gone to this Banfield for years and have always had an excellent experience. Thank you Dr. Smythe, and the rest of the Banfield team, for taking such good care of Milton!

This Banfield location is Great! always able to see my dog within a reasonable amount of time, very friendly staff and their exams seem very thorough. We have 2 puppy plans which are a great value for all of the standard puppy needs!

My experience was the bomb. They take really good care of my dog Sam and they have health insurance reasonably priced. I won't go anywhere else.

I took my dog for his regular teeth cleaning and a couple of hours later they called saying that I needed to come pick up my dog because he was essentially dying and there was nothing they could do. Not only were they senseless when delivering the news they also said "Also, remember that you have to pay $500 for today's visit". When we arrived, we had to call because of Covid procedures and we were put on hold because the vet was busy. Mind you, they were calling because he needed to be rush to the emergency because he was dying. My father decided to run inside and get my dog. After having to pay, my dad was told to prepare for the worse because they didn't think he was going to make it. We rushed him to the emergency where he was put under observation and tested. We were told that there was no medical condition that could indicate why he would react this way. That his reaction should've never happened. I'm happy to say that my dog is now home and doing better but not thanks to Banfield. Find yourself a better Vet. All they want is money and have no care for your pet.
