The Cat Doctor Monroe, Michigan

It was door drop off which is understandable given the pandemic. I was concerned about my newly adopted cat being afraid. They were very compassionate and informative of how things were going via phone calls through the visit. The doctor took her time explaining her findings and recommendations, but ultimately let me make final decisions without being pushy. I believe I have found my cat's new doctor. So far so good, will def bring her back.

Dr. Kim and her staff are amazing! I switched to this vet practice 3 years ago and have been extremely satisfied. She manages the care of my 3 cats and has handled challenging situations from diagnosing my 3yr old with lymphoma, my kitten with a hernia, and recently my 3 yr old outdoor cat with surgery from an infected bite/abscess. She is a skilled surgeon and takes the time to understand your concerns. Dr. Kim and her staff ensure that my cats are treated compassionately and with the best care possible. I love the cat-only atmosphere and look forward to being able to go into the vet practice soon! I trust her completely and she is honest and doesn't just perform a test or procedure without a valid reason. Top-notch care at the cat doctor!

The cat doctor and the office staff are the most unprofessional people I have ever met. They do not care about the cats that come to their clinic at all. A woman I help had an emergency with her cat during office hours, they refused to get him in that day and told me.too tell this elderly lady to go.to emergency vet. They told us this 2x in the same week. If a cat is your patient you should make the time to help the pet. Because they refused car 2 days in a row, ger cat died. Fortunately Suburban Animal Hospital was very accompanying, they gave us an immediate appointment as a fill in and was able to determine the cat had passed away, these vets at Suburban Animal Clinic, gave my lady the compassion to get in her cat to them and they never seen cat before. SUBURBAN Animal Hospital in Monroe is wonderful. They are caring and compassionate and helped my lady when they didn't need to, ITS unfortunate that the Cat Doctor and Dr Kim wouldn't help their own patient and essentially the cat passed. They have lost alot of potential clients bcuz of there uncompassionate ways. STAY CLEAR OF CAT DOCTOR, SHE AND HER STAFF ARE A JOKE......I GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE-100 RATING.

My normal vet didn't have an appt available for days. Called and they were able to get her in within a hour. So friendly and caring with our kitty, even sent her home with a "goody" bag and texted the next day to check on her.

Dr. Kim is a great vet however we will not be returning. 5 cats and 9 years later, the only concern truly is the dollar bill not the animals well-being. I have spent well over $7,000 over the years. Recently switched jobs and took a pay cut and have a cat recently diagnosed with asthma. Already $1,000 invested into saving his life and this vets office will not work with me on 290 lousy dollars for a follow-up x-ray to adjust his medicine as needed. It's a sad day when a brand new vet will work with you more than your long-time vet that's why we will be taking our business elsewhere. Unless you have a minimum of $400 no matter what your cats issue is you should choose another vet money is the focus not well being with this Clinic.

DONT go here it’s not worth it ! I’ve never ever met a CAT doctor afraid of a cat! I took my 2 year old cat there TWICE and they couldn’t do anything mind you she’s SMALL! Worst experience ever !

While covid has made the veterinarian appointment experience feel sort of weird and disconnected, The Cat Doctor has done a good job of adapting and handling the pandemic restrictions as well as possible. I travel full-time for work, living in my RV. My cat goes along with me. Getting medical care for either myself or my cat can be difficult with this lifestyle, and people are often not very understanding. The Cat Doctor has been wonderfully caring and helpful while I am facing the diagnosis that my cat doesn't have much life left. I feel comfortable that the appropriate tests have been performed, and we decided on some treatments to help my cat feel as well as possible until the time comes when she will need to be euthanized. I did not want to pursue anything too invasive or stressful for a 14 year old cat, and wasn't pushed to do so. The staff at The Cat Doctor of Monroe has been great to deal with, always communicating clearly and responding to calls or emails promptly. They helped me plan for future prescription needs when I leave the area to go to my next work location. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone who needs medical care for a feline family member.

My kitty was suddenly limping. Every place I called had at least a week wait. They got her in the next morning. They took such good care of her and had her scheduled for surgery very quickly! I won't be taking my kitties anywhere else from now on!

Lack of understanding regarding family situation emergency to reschedule an appt. On behalf of my family, we feel we were taking advantage of with paying the deposit. Next day revision, after the review of 1 star was public, then the Dr reconsider taking the deposit but pressured to come in that day. It was clear to me that this reconsideration was motivated by reputation instead of being considerate or genuine. Will not be back or recommend. .

They are good hearted and very able to work with my older cat. I had been going to another vet. They had trouble providing service for him. I have recommended The Cat Doctor of Monroe to several people already.

They take every patient very personally . Calls after a few days just to check in on how things are going.

We have only been going here for a short time, but this clinic has been very good to our kitties. They seem to be well organized, and prices are reasonable. We are very happy clients.

Dr. Kim is an AMAZING vet and her support staff are incredible as well! They're the vet I use for all of my cats and can't imagine going anywhere else! They just spayed my kitten at a very affordable cost and were so communicative the entire time! They send me photos of my cats while they're at the office, and make sure they go over everything regarding their health with me in a way I can understand. They are so friendly and easy to talk with. I had one cat I adopted from a shelter with some health issues and a week after I adopted him, he needed to see a vet. They worked with me on most of the charges and made it much more affordable after taking into consideration that I had just brought him home. I truly couldn't ask for a better, more friendly, or more compassionate vet. I trust her with my cats 100%!

A few years ago my baby of 14 years got so sick I didn't have the money to put her to sleep and couldn't just watch her like that. I called around to different vets to see if anyone would help I didn't have the money to pay for it. The cat doctor was the only one who would do it for free. She has such a great big heart I'll never forget her or that day

They are very nice here and are very thorough. They answered all my questions and repeated the answers that I didnt understand. The whole staff was like this. My cat was very calm there. I mean laying on the table and purring and kneading the air. Which is very unusual. This was my first visit to this vet. I will be going back. Thank you for the top notch care!

This place was so nice. The atmosphere is very peaceful. The staff is extremely nice and very sympathetic to your kitties not feeling like themselves. The doctor is very thorough and takes her time explaining things. The whole experience just made me feel less stressed. I most definitely feel that my kitties are in well capable hands.

My senior cat was diagnosed with kidney disease in March of 2019. Because Dr. Kim has been giving him IV fluids and oral meds 3 times a week he continues to enjoy life. Bugsy will celebrate his 16th birthday on May 5th. Dr. Kim and her staff provide excellent care to all fur babies placed in their care. Thank you Dr. Kim!
