Very disappointed with how the dr handled my dog . Went in for staple removal and she wouldn’t even let me get my boy calm , she just grabbed his feet and flipped him over on the hard metal bed . It was sad she didn’t even let me have a chance to calm him down and let him lay down on his own . The whole time I’m in there she didn’t show no compassion to my animal , just wanted to keep asking me if I wanted to spend more money on bs things that I didn’t come in for . Definitely will not be returning

Just had my little friend put to sleep. The doctor and staff were so caring. I called and they saw my dog the same day. Thank you for being there for Lightening.

Dr Harper has the worse bedside manners. Time to find a new vet. Today was the last straw the way she handles my dog. The assistants, especially Nicole, are all very nice and helpful. Sadly the main vet is a huge problem. My guess is she never checks charts before seeing her patients either. She ask questions that would be right in the chart.

Great experience every time. They treat nervous dogs awesome. I've never had to wait longer than 5 mins to see a vet. We've seen three different vets and they were all awesome including Dr. Lynch. They spent a lot of time on my cat when he …

Called to check when my puppy’s next appointment was because the receptionist said she’ll book it and call me and never did. Turns out she never booked it and now my puppy needs to start his medication all over again and I have to pay for it all over again. So unprofessional and rude, I can’t even imagine how they take care of the animals if they treat people like this. I regret taking my puppy there, only God knows how they are!

I wish I had the option to give zero stars. I had never been to this vet before, and when it came time to put my dog down, I was in search of a location that was affordable and close to my mothers--as he was being buried there. The Ford RD location was recommended by a family friend, and when I called, the Livonia location had the earliest date, so I took it. We were greeted by a very sweet, compassionate tech who explained what the process would be and had us fill out some information. The Vet, who I called today to get her name (Dr. Jan) was rude from the start. Spoke very sternly and shouted demands to the tech. She again, told us they were going to inject my dog with a muscle relaxer and hand him back to me. Then they would be back to do the final injection to stop his heart. What they didn't say, is that within minutes he would be completely unresponsive...not blinking, tongue hanging out. Already upset he was going, and wanting to do it as humanely as possible, we thought we was already dying from the first injection based on how he was reacting. My sister opened the door and asked the Dr Jan how long we needed to wait, and she said 5-10 minutes. My sister opened the door back up and said she thought something was wrong and that he was not blinking and his tongue was out. The Dr ran in, scolding us about "THATS SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN" yanked him out of my arms, handled him like a rag doll and snapped at her tech "Put that bunny down and get in here". I will never forget the image of my dogs lifeless body being bounced around like he was nothing. He was everything to me. And I am so sad at how he was treated in his final moments of life, together. If I would have known he (and we ) would have been treated that way, I would have paid more money to take him somewhere else. I informed her she was very rude, and unsympathetic and she walked me to the door and said "sorry for your loss". I just want to prevent anyone else from dealing with what I did. If you love your dog, please go else where.

I worked there for maybe a week with no way to sign in or even clock in for that matter and I only worked with Dr.JAN it twice first time was my first day again I have no way to log in to be trained on this system because they said they were getting a new system so there was no point in training me on that one when we were getting the new one. Then the second time I worked with her the new software was just put in and everyone was getting frustrated in this small room trying to learn the new software so I just tried to stay out of the way since I was getting no training what so ever in the first place. So then I am told I am being let go for what the dr said was cuz a person that has some experience should be able to do more. Well how can I learn and do more when I can't even sign or clock in for that matter. Everyday I worked I never got to clock in cuz I was never put into the system that wasn't my fault so I get let go cuz I was setup for failure right from word go. Very unprofessional and wrong what they have done to me. I never even was told how much I was gonna be making either. But how can you say someone is fired cuz they haven't been trained to be able to even do anything. watch out if you do get in here they don't do people right at all. I have cried now for hours tried calling to talk to the manager because I love, need, and want, my job just to be told she'll call me back. If I could give them no stars at all I would what they have done is wrong..

I've been taking my dog here for three years now, because of an injury to his leg. They were the closest, and only veterinary office that had an open appointment when he got hurt. They are quick to get your fur baby in.

I called in desperation. My dog wasn't feeling good all night. I called in the morning and they were able to give me an appointment within an hr of me calling. The vet saved my dogs life. She properly diagnosed him and gave him the right medication he needed. Ill definitely come back for all my dogs health needs.

I adopted a new cat. I was in the process of checking out different vets in the area and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to see how the vets were with my new cat. My family was even going to follow me to the new vet. I made an appointment to see if my cat was healthy enough to undergo surgery to be spayed. The vet ran blood work and all was well. I made the appointment within the 30 days,. They called to let me know that she made out through surgery but that she was pregnant! How did a veterinarian Not know that my cat was pregnant? Had I known, I would have let my cat have her babies and then done the surgery. I'm still furious over this late term abortion that my cat was subjected to. The aftercare was just as bad. My cat developed an infection and the vet that saw her caused her pain and they gave antibiotics that was orange flavored. Cats don't like citrus flavors.. They wanted me to come back in a few days to check on her again where they could possibly knock her out and put in more stitches. I went to my regular vet and he took care of her. He said that the stitches were so tight they were cutting into her skin. He removed some stitches and my cat didn't fight him, didn't squirm didn't even try to bite. I will never again take any animal to these butchers at Garden City Veterinary Hospital!

My Barney was treated so good! They got me in same day when I called to say my cat wasn't eating well. Dr hardy was the best! She was so kind and took care of Barney! He just needed an antibiotic but I didn't know that. Prices are reasonable also!!

Wow! I wish there were more than 5 stars. My kitty Luca Brassi received a birthday card from the wonderful, caring staff. There's only one place I trust to care for my boy. Very affordable health care, and a compassionate staff. Garden City Veterinary Hospital is the place to go.

Garden City Veterinary Hospital is amazing. I took my French Bull Dog there and they were amazing with my dog Jack and With me. They had to do emergency surgery on him and knew I was limited to how much money I could pay. They worked with me and took payments so my dog Jack could get the help he needed. Thank you so much Garden City Veterinary Hospital and to the Doctors and staff.

Ridiculously over priced, long wait times , Dr.s are judgemental, unfriendly staff. I've gone multiple times and have finally had enough.

We've used GCVH several times and each time and each Doctor we had the opportunity to work with was really great. They work hard to get you an appointment on little or no notice for emergency concerns. Once you're in the office, they're kind, compassionate, empathetic, and very sweet. There is no high pressure up-sell or guilt trips when you decline services. Everyone there seems to really love their job and the animals that come in as they're own.

I have been bringing my three cats here for about 8 years and have never been disappointed with the attention they receive. The vets are thorough, knowledgeable and give top-notch care to my fur babies . Nicole and the other assistants are always on the ball and taking care of business. I will continue to use the services they provide. Wouldn't even consider going anywhere else. Thank you, Garden City, for being so kind to my Sugar, Bear and Isabel.....

I have had Charlie there for the 2nd time for vaccinations. They suggested splitting these into 3 visits. So far so good. While waiting someone called with a sick furbaby and the receptionist said bring him in... I was glad to hear that. Looking forward to a great relationship with GCV HOSP.

I have been going here for years for my cats and dog. My most recent experience was as usual a great one. My dog had a past allergic reaction to her shots and the staff at the vet were very concerned and patient;suggesting we wait there to see if any reactions would occur. They came in the room to check on us periodically and were very informative on what to do should it happen once we went home. Each time I have gone they always call the next day to see how my pup is doing after her visit. I would definitely recommend this veterinarian, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because just like anyone I wish the prices were lower.

Long wait times, the vet was very judge mental and talked down to me. I took my cat in for fleas and they tried to charge me $550, I left and went somewhere else, got the cat treated and taken care of for under $200. Don't waste your money go somewhere else.

My dog had a cough. So I take her in for an exam. They check her out and come back with a 350.00 to 500.00+ estimate for treatment. Flabbergasted by the amount I called my wife to see what we could do. We agreed to a 338.00 dollar blood test. When I told them we couldn't afford this they suggested taking the 15.00 dollars off for the cough medicine. I said why would I do that, I want her to feel better don't you. They acted like I was crazy. The blood test was negative and the cough medicine worked. This is not the first time the sucked me in to paying a ridiculous amount of money. This should have been a 75.00 visit.

I would highly recommend taking your animals here. This was my first visit and they were able to fit me in right away. The staff was very helpful and kind to me and my cat. Plan on coming back for other veterinary needs.
