They failed to tell us they cut Big during his appointment. This was found a day after his appt as they placed a bandana around his neck to cover their handy work. We are thankful it was not infected! But the unprofessionalism, poor communication and inability to provide proper care to our pups is unfathomable! After an emergency vet appointments and stitches Big is recovering just fine. Not sure how any business remains afloat with practices displayed here.

The new owners are professional, respectful, experienced and customer service is great. Since Renee retired the service still exceeds expectations. I recommend this business!

Looked forever for a place to get my scaredy-cat groomed and stumbled across claws and paws by Renee.. Everyone there was friendly and polite and they took great care of my cat! She got her nails and fur trimmed and even got a bath without a hitch! Recommend 5/5

You get your dog an appointment very quick here. Kinda pricey but out quick. Guy does a good job i cant complain

I have used this groomer in the past, however not recently due to the pandemic. Was saddened to hear Renee is no longer with us. However, I trusted the good notes she left & had my goldendoodle groomed there recently with the new owner (Lance). They did an awesome job on the grooming. HOWEVER, absolutely no attempt from staff to wear masks...so disappointing. Looks like we will have to find a new groomer who follows public health guidelines.

I used to take my dog to Petco and I could tell he absolutely hated going there. I decided it was time to change groomers, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. At first I was a little nervous to change groomers and go to claws and paws, but I knew right when I walked in and talked to the owners/staff this was going to be the place for my pet. They are very knowledgeable and caring groomers. In my opinion I feel like this place cares more about your pet and making them feel comfortable and safe, rather then just trying to make a quick buck. You hear about the horror stories of bad groomers and them just wanting your money and hurting your pet in the process, but claws and paws went above and beyond when it comes to taking care of my dog. I would recommend this place to any pet owner!

I was actually in the Perfume & Fragrance store thats adjacent to Claws . Really excellent selection in colognes and body oils . The proprietor Ali is very good at show casing the right smell goods

The staff is always super nice. They do a great job, and if you want to change anything, they are more than happy to do it. You can also tell they truly love dogs!

Ive been taking my Pitt bull to claws and paws for the last year and he loves it. They do a fantastic job. Lance and sue are extremely nice and friendly. I would highly recommend taking your fur babies here for grooming.

I took my dog smokey in for his first visit with them, she was great, smokey went right upto her, when I picked smokey up omg he was so adorable she did exactly what I asked for, I will be taking smokey there from now on, I'm very pleased

Wow! They are amazing!! The groomers were super friendly and did a great job with my dog. My dog is a rescue and can be a bit skittish but she warmed up to her groomer very quickly. A dog's intuition is never wrong. ❤

Been taking my pomeranian Brie to Renee for years and has always done a fantastic job. Brie always looks forward to her "spa" day with Renee and comes home extremely happy and well groomed!! Plus the pricing is very fair.

I used to take my blind shepherd mix, Cody and my parents dog Maddie. Both dogs always looked and smelled great after. Fair pricing and quick service..there both deceased now. Just wanted to say thank you!!

My 12 lb Shih-Poo, Cashew, has been going to Renee for a few months now. I've only had good experiences here. Whenever I pick her up she's always happy. You can always tell when something isn't right because of your dog's behavior, as our dogs are like our children. I've used many groomers throughout the Madison Heights area, and refused to go back to any of them for several reasons. But PetSmart was the absolute worse!! Whenever I'd drop her off, I could hear her crying all the way in the parking lot. When I'd pick her up from PetSmart, she'd jump on me, shaking and practically digging her claws into me so I wouldn't put her down. Unfortunately, I I've never had this experience with Renee. Cashew is always a happy dog when I go to pick her up after grooming.
