I have always received amazing service from Pets Ahoy. She specializes in dentistry too and my pet had a broken root over the weekend and could not eat or drink all weekend. Dr. Williams was able to squeeze me in as soon as possible even without an appointment, so my fur baby could eat and drink again. This is the second dental surgery she's performed and my dog is in little to no pain at all afterwards, even after having 16 teeth removed. I will never take her anywhere else ever again. Had her teeth cleanings been done correctly by the prior vet (who lets their techs do the cleanings verses an actual vet) my dog might still have her teeth!

I can say without doubt this veterinarian over all others truly cares about animals. They saved my cat's life. It wasn't anything particularly special that they had to do except be the only Veterinary Hospital within 50 miles of my house that cared more about my cats life than profits wait times, or having to stay late at work for another 15 minutes. I don't know what value Pico Fabi is referring to, personally I found great value. I guess everyone has to ask themselves how much is my pet's health worth? What I do know is my cat had a fatal infection but I could not get an appointment with any vet sooner than over 2 weeks away. As the days passed I watched as my cat began to fade away. Desperate, I called every Veterinary Clinic, Hospital, and Emergency Center I could find. None of them would see my pet, regardless of the dire circumstances I was in. Every single one of them said they were either not taking new patients or were too busy to see my cat anytime soon. I heard the same sickening excuse over and over again, that if they accepted any additional animals on a triage level that wait times for myself and other people would be too long. They did not care about an animal's life at all, only how long someone had to wait to for an appointment so they can keep that human happy and get a good review. Even when I pressed and ask them a question, "so you're telling me that an infection is a death sentence for my cat?". To my amazement they all responded "yes, I'm sorry" then recommended me to another veterinarian that they believed had time. All of this sounds unbelievable but it is all true. I repeated the process almost 30 times. I finally ran across Pets Ahoy. Pets Ahoy was just as busy as every other Veterinarian, except they made an appointment for the next day. And that is how they saved my cat's life, by caring enough about it to make time to save it. Pets Ahoy is a single Veterinary Animal Hospital, and they made time when they had no time while other practices with several veterinarians on staff refused to save my dying cat. So if you're looking for a veterinarian that you can trust, I can assure you from personal experience that this is the only one in Macomb and Oakland counties that truly cares about your animal. I would like to thank everyone from Pets Ahoy for taking the time that no one else would to save the life of my dying cat. She is completely healed now and back to her old self again.

This place is amazing! Wonderful people who don't just see a price tag walking through the door. They really truly care about not only the animals they treat but the people who love them as well. They saved my son's beloved pet rat and we're willing to work on making it affordable. They even called the next day during a power outage for them to check the well being of the patient. We love this vet.

Oh my God, buyer beware. This vet and her staff are terrible. The only concern they have is your money going into their pocket.

Took our pet rabbit for a checkup prior to neutering. The wait time was very short, and the staff was very friendly and professional. The doctor had some good info and tips for us. We were very happy with the experience.

Before making a appt I specifically asked do they deal with great danes & told them his condition & how he wasn't feeling good. They assured me they do take danes. Waited 2weeks for his appt. I get there, they ask lots of questions made the dumbest excuses not to take him & denied him care, so he never got checked. So they say he sounds sick from what i told them but made so many excuses including his size to not to care for him. I was so heated! I think they were scared of his size but their suppose to be a licensed "animal hospital"smh Im on the hunt for another vet to go to & hope my baby doesn't get worse while waiting! This was so unprofessional and wasted my time. I would not recommend them to anyone!& I know lots of people looking for a veterinarian that was waiting to hear what I thought of this place. 10 Thumbs down ????

Amazing Dr and staff!!! I brought my cat in and they diagnosed an issue that is easily treatable, my fur baby and I are so very grateful! If you need a compassionate, knowledgeable veterinary office, this is the place to go!

We take our animals to vets for a detailed inspection when they are sick or have something wrong. I’ve been using Pet’s Ahoy for years because I used to think they were the best at just that. I’ve noticed in the last 2 years a decline in their friendliness and sheer “wow” factor as a vet. They became more of a nickel and dime vet rather than a caring one. As of yesterday because of their inability to do routine tasks to professionally diagnose my cat’s vomiting issues for a whole week, after 2 visits, has now resulted in me taking my animals elsewhere moving forward and will be taking some other clients of theirs with me. The office staff had nothing to do with that decision as they normally treat myself with respect when I talk with them, but to refuse to do X-rays after a pet owner is signing off and asking you to do them because my cat wasn’t vocally showing signs of distress... That’s where I draw the line as it did turn out she indeed had an obstruction that had they done x-rays the very first appointment they would’ve found it. Instead they make my wife and I spend well over $100 on special food that turns out, she won’t be needing because they misdiagnosed. And please Pets Ahoy, please don’t try and comment on this review as you do some of the others and make myself or my wife at fault on this one. Cats will be cats and eat things they aren’t supposed to, I relied on you to do what I pay you to do and that’s figure out why a 2 year old cat couldn’t keep any form of food down and you could not deliver. This is my honest opinion and feedback on a bad experience, you have to respect that.

The staff here is absolutely incredible. Super friendly and even with the pandemic and the adjusted scheduling/appointments, they are quick to take care of your pets effectively. The "drive-up" style service is actually pretty convenient and works out fairly well. I can clearly tell they value the lives and well-being of animals/pets and take good care of them.

Love this place!! They have you sit in your car with your pet in a carrier and they tell you to call them when you park for your appointment, tell them your parking spot number and they come out to your car and grab your pet for you. They even take your credit card purchases right from the car. They also check up on your pet with a few phone calls to make sure their treatments are working. The prices are good as well. I really like this place and have recommended them to my family.

Dr. Williams and the rest of the staff go the extra mile to anticipate and keep us in the know of what we and our puppy needs. We were referred to this location because we couldn’t get into our local vet for neutering for a few months, have had several appointments with this animal hospital, and have been very happy with their procedures and the costs even though this location is a bit of a drive away. I highly recommend this vet.

Horrible. For profit vet. Hound you on text & mail every 3 months. And are too busy when you need them most. Revered me to a. 24 emergency place that was too busy too. Do not go here. They are profiteers. They are heartless.

My cat had been vaccinated a week prior at a different vet, 7 days later we take him in because he's not eating, vomiting, diarrhea and weight loss, not moving around, just laying in 1 spot in the house at this point, she knew he needed around the clock care if he was going to survive, and called a 24 hour vet for us and told them we were on our way and to be ready with an emergency and told us something I never expected from a vet these days.. "take him get him there as quick as you can, no charge." i said "wait what are you sure?" and she replied "Yes it's about him not the money" as we walked out the door I thanked her but on the way to the car I cried... for a vet to see a distraught couple over a dying animal that needed immediate care and for her to deny payment so we could leave quicker to get to the animal hospital is above and beyond anything I ever could have imagined... She earned all the respect in the world from us yesterday.. and I will be taking my pets there for life, highly recommend, someone who actually loves what she does, loves the animals she cares for, and cares for the people who are hurting... our cat unfortunately passed upon arrival to the hospital almost immediately, but the one positive moment of that horrific day was the unexpected kindness from a stranger.. God bless her.

Dr. Williams is an amazing Veterinarian! She is so kind, caring, compassionate and very knowledgeable. The office staff at Pets Ahoy are some of the best tech’s ever! I took my first pup here and Dr.Williams went above and beyond when treating him. When we had to put my previous pup down, Dr. Williams and the entire staff were right there with so much kindness. I think what touched me the most was when I looked up and they were all shedding tears with me. I recently rescued a puppy and I would not have taken her anywhere else but Pets Ahoy Animal Hospital! Dr Williams is the very best veterinarian we have ever taken our dog, EmmyLou, to. She is incredibly smart and up to date on the latest recommendations regarding the care of our dog. She always takes as much time with us as is needed and explains everything, she is very kind and gentle with our dog. Kim the receptionist is awesome and very efficient, friendly and empathetic. She goes above and beyond to help with whatever’s needed for our dog. Danielle is a very knowledgeable vet tech. LOVE this practice and highly recommend. Also appreciate that PetsAhoy is AAHA certified which gives us even more piece of mind
