The best vet ever!!! All staff and doctors were very efficient, kind and caring. So glad I made the switch.

First and foremost this review was not promoted or encouraged by the establishment. INCREDIBLE experience. We are first time dog owners and Dr Richmond truly treated both us and our dog with the upmost kindness and respect. She spent over an hour with us going over every single aspect of dog care. On multiple occasions she said “this is what I would do but you have options to choose what you would like to do.” We did not feel pressured to do anything with our pup. Prices are very reasonable. Much lower that what I had anticipated. All staff, including techs and office staff are beyond kind. 10/10 we will 100% continue to take our pets to Macomb Center Vet.

I’ve only been to this vet maybe 2-3 times since it’s closer to my house than our regular vet and the most recent time was due to my dog’s regular vet being booked out for a couple months. I’m grateful that they were able to see my dog within a week of calling to schedule an appointment and the doctor I saw was great and thorough. She spent a great deal of time with us, discussing things in detail, which I really appreciated. The main complaint I’d have is that they overcharge for meds and visits. I searched on Chewy for two of the meds that my dog was prescribed (one was a medicated shampoo and another was an antibiotic) and found them for less than half the price that I purchased them for at the clinic. It was a $50 difference total. A third medication he was prescribed was also found on chewy for the same price as the clinic except the quantity had 9 more pills than what I needed so the clinic still ultimately charged more for the quantity that was prescribed. Also, the cost for exam at his usual vet is half the price that I was charged here. I was willing to do what was needed to receive care and treatment as quickly as I could. However, had I known the difference in cost for the meds, I may have just ordered from Chewy instead. Unfortunately, my dog had already been battling a skin infection for some time so I was eager to get him started on the medication regimen.

They remember my dog every time we come in, very nice and great care with our dog with allergies.

I cannot recommend this veterinary clinic enough! After being disappointed time & time again from a previous clinic - I found Macomb Center Vet Hospital & will never go else where. If your pet has a health concern & you do not have an appointment this clinic will do their absolute best in trying to get you in wether that be in between their other patients or a walk - in and wait to be seen. If you feel your pet is sick and needs attention they will never turn you away. Just this morning I called in regards to my dogs ears stating I believed he had a ear infection, the vet wanted us to come in as soon as we could even though they only had two hours until they closed for the day. Thankfully this Vet cares so much!!! My dog has a double ear infection and is now on medication. They are the most polite, caring & compassionate, knowledgeable staff you will ever come across! The office is always clean and does not smell like animals or urine like your typical vet clinic does. If you’re unhappy with your vet - COME HERE ! you will not be disappointed. Thank you Dr Kuipers & staff! P.S. they also had the Michigan VS Michigan State game on the office speaker system (GO GREEN!)

We normally use one of their sister locations but we needed to put my dog to sleep. On the day that we needed to our doctor, Dr. Richmond, was at this location so we went here instead of our normal one. I was nervous because at this very horrible time we needed to go to a strange place where we didn’t know anybody except our doctor. Every single person in there was SO fantastic and treated us as if we had been going there for years! They made us feel like family!! I also need to give my praises to Dr. Richmond. She is simply fantastic!!! She took so much time to talk to us before my Maxx’s procedure and during it I think she cried just as much as us! Not to mention how much knowledge and experience she has shown us from out previous visits. I have never felt such compassion and love from a vet as we have from her! She truly cares about the animals AND their families! This is a wonderful place! ❤️

What an amazing place. I've had horrible experiences with other places that cared for my pets. This place is a hidden gem! They are fair on pricing, and the staff is incredible. This was my first visit today, and I was literally stunned, and no only the cleanliness, but the amount of care, and what I perceive as unsurpassed ethics. The Dr actually treats you like a human instead on a dollar sign, and the staff treats you like they are welcoming you home, instead of just pushing you through to get their day over with. My sweet girl olive enjoyed every second of spoiling that they gave her, and so did I. I completely and fully recommend this place. Anyone near Macomb, would be absolutely silly not to take your pet here, if you haven't found the right doctor yet. I'll update you as I continue my visits, this is one of the only places I have no anxiety over since another place killed 2 of my dogs, which really made me nervous about veterinarians. This place removed that doubt for me. I cannot say enough! I'll get some facility pictures next time

I just had my Savannah kitten in for all his shots and to be neutered. Everyone took great care of him and you can tell all of the staff is very passionate about animals. They were very honest with me and took all precautions to make sure my kitten had a safe successful surgery!

This place is amazing super staff ! Love drs there as well been coming here for years and all 3 of my babies are better for it Dr kipers also took great care of of last boy Jujubean to kidney disease but these drs were the best and able to give us 2 more great years with him . We have been to many vets from Ovrs to Parkway and more but let's just say would not trust anyone to my babies care then this place.

Called today to pick up a heart worm medicine for my dog as I was driving by and was told I had to wait for a text message when it was ready for pick. I asked how long it would take for it to be ready and she said 1 hour. I called back after one hour and it was not ready and was asked to wait until I get the text message. I finally got a text back at 6:15pm but they were already closed. It would be so much easier to just let me stop by and pick up the meds since they have it there but the lady asks me to wait for a text message knowing it wouldn’t be ready before they close. So unprofessional!

This was our first visit and everyone was so polite and professional. We found our vet!

Friendly people and very helpful and caring

My dog had an ear infection and other vets were telling me two weeks to get my dog seen but macomb center veterinary got her in right away and for the first time in 4 yrs dr. K actually took time to talk to me and help figure out some solutions for my dogs allergies. This will be my permanent vet from now on

Called to reschedule an appointment today that was a tech appointment. Phone rang about 6 times then was asked to hold. Was on hold for 33 minutes. When someone finally picked up the phone, I said I understand everyone is short staffed and busy but 33 minutes. The response was I'll talk to the staff. Poor Poor customer service. I will not be returning as, this was my first impression of this new vet as family had taken my dog there previously. Regardless to put someone on hold that long very unprofessional and not acceptable no matter what. If you don't have enough staff to run your business professionally look to hire additional help. Especially when your prices are higher than other local vets.

My baby German shorthair Jay was put to rest because of neurological issues causing him seizures and unable to walk. The vet came in and talked with me with love and compassion. These guys love their job❤️

I just brought my puppy in for her first appointment. I am a first time dog mom and I had a lot of questions. The vet and staff took a lot of time to answer all of my questions. I loved the Dr. we saw. She got down on the floor and played with my dog. She was so knowledgeable and gave me great tips for house training. She was just awesome! So happy to have found this vet practice!

I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff here. We had to bring our chocolate lab in for a 2nd opinion after multiple surgeries, complications and poor outcome with our previous vet. Unfortunately, this office agreed there wasn’t anything else that could be done and recommended euthanasia. My wife and children were devastated, and I was heart broken. The office staff, vet tech and doctor were the most kind and compassionate people I have ever dealt with in this type of situation. We had no dogs previously with this office, yet they gave us 3 hours of their time and privacy of a room to say good bye. The doctor came in and sat on the floor with us while we cried. He offered comfort to a grieving family for 30 minutes of his busy day. The whole team was so understanding and kind. They made a terrible situation just a little bit easier to get through. Then a couple weeks later we received the nicest sympathy card with messages written by all the staff and the doctor. We were in such awe of this office that we switched all our dogs over and will stay with this amazing team for the foreseeable future! I would rate them 100 stars if I could!

Doctors seem ok... but they just lost a patient. Front desk is run by petty unprofessional individuals.

I've been taking a dog and 3 cats to macomb center vet hospital for 8 years and they always treat them like their own at a price matching other local vets.

Horrible place, my dog was sick and they made us wait nearly 2 hours outside. They finally came out and told us that they were to busy and gave me a number to another vet. Facility. Do your self a favor and find a different veterinarian.

My boyfriend and I are first time dog owners and have brought our puppy in since we got him about 2 months ago. The staff are all so welcoming and sweet! They take excellent precautions during Covid which is a plus. The doctor spends so much time answering all our questions and is super helpful. Such a positive experience from start to finish every time we come in!

Very friendly and professional, everyone seems like they genuinely enjoy what they do. Prices were very reasonable. Took our three month old puppy for her first visit and this is the only vet we will be going to from now on.

The team is always accomodating and friendly!
