After reading reviews I was a little worried about going in, but also convinced these ladies know what they’re doing and that this is the best place to buy a bearded dragon. I WAS pleasantly greeted and informed about bearded dragons. I did not feel pressured to buy anything. The dragon was pricey but also raised with love and so healthy and beautiful. You get what you pay for. I was expecting a totally different experience after reading these reviews. Go in for yourself and make up your own mind. I didn’t bring my kids, but it’s just not the pet store for kids. There is no space. Bring your kids to petco for a trip if they want to go to a pet store, then look at the available animals online at stingers and pick one. Thank you ladies!

I purchased a tortoise from this place. There is a long list of my complaints about this place, but Google only allows a certain amount of characters in a review. Yelp has the full list posted. Short version, they were extremely rude, and refunded my online purchase of a tortoise because they were mad that I didn't buy the whole enclosure kit from them too. Once they found out I was only purchasing the animal from them they turned from normal to outright rude and unwelcoming quick. I will NEVER return to this store, and I desperately hope readers think twice before going here for anything. They look good on the surface, but unless you are willing to buy their package they don't have time or polite attitudes for you.

Not to even want a rating at all, I gave a one star, undeserved, lady was rude and put her mask on as she walked up to the counter, so much for being so carefully, the sign on the inside describes an attack dog on property and you cannot walk in past the front door, so I made it short and sweet and went to a better store down the road, I was able to walk into as and shop.

The door was open but they wouldn't let us in to see what we were looking for. The rude lady said we had to shop on line only. Well then take your open hours down since you can't shop in store ,

Don't know how you are staying in business... especially when the counter person is unprofessional and RUDE!!! She walked away from me in mid sentence! Sorry lady you need to learn some people skills!!!! I'll take my business elsewhere and by the looks of things others are doing the same!!!

I called to ask some questions about leopard gecko care as I am going to be a first time owner the lady on the phone didn’t answer any questions but instead offered to answer them if I came in store to the counter. So I drove out and upon entry was told my questions couldn’t be answered unless I purchased the animal and entire setup from them on the spot. I am all for supporting local business especially at a time like this, but this experience completely turned me away from this location. I would not recommend shopping here.

IDK the operation in normal condition. It however still accepts visit with a phone call in advance. Without phone calls, you can't even enter the shop. So, if you want to browse reptiles or goods, i would recommend to choose others. Judging from their website, the shop itself seems to be great, but it accepts only pick up as of July 23, 2021.

We will AVOID the place. I drove my son 90 minutes to look and found out they are not taking customers. Apparently this is on the website if you want to read the newsletter. The lady at the counter was less than pleasant. If you are looking for reptiles, Preuss Pets in Lansing is open for customers. They have a wonderful variety. At Preuss Pets, the workers are very knowledgeable, helpful, and nice.

Called with questions aboit bearded dragons, whats in stock and how to pick out a dragon. Very very rude in phone, as if i was bothering the women who answered. My question: How do I pick out a beardie, if youre curbside only and i cant view them? She told me if i wasnt comftorable with that arrangement then i could go elsewhere. Not even an answer as to how I pick out a dragon, like do they bring them outside and I pick that way? Disaster of a phone call.

I’ve only been a customer for a short time, but I always receive excellent service. I usually stop by at least once a week for some mealworms and dubias. I love that I can call and they bring everything right out. Both ladies have been very nice and I’ve never had a problem. I’ve been to other reptile stores in the metro Detroit area and Stingers is definitely the best. Yes, it’s disappointing that you cannot shop around inside, but I also respect their need to stay safe. Maybe appointments in the future could be offered? But I also must say that I love curbside service ????

Selling unhealthy animals and extremely rude! At the vet just a few days later after purchase with an extremely sick one, they blamed us calling us a liar

We picked up a pre-purchased Bearded Dragon from Hazel. Sadly, we noticed once home his tail was bent and rotted, his middle fingers were deformed and he had a patch of darkness on his back. The next appointment available at the vet was 3 weeks out. Our vet amputated his deformed fingers, his tail tip and told us he likely had yellow fungus on his back. This was an expensive vet visit for an animal we have fallen in love with....basically we feel we rescued this animal from this pet store. Buyer beware!

Only place still closed on the inside for covid...inconvenient. Every time you go to order the old lady gives you an attitude and makes you repeat half of what you already said because she can’t hear. And they’re always out of live rats, and charge MORE for frozen? They’re prices are high too.

We bought our bearded dragon from Stingers a few years ago and he is amazing and thriving. They were so knowledgeable and helpful! We have taken our beardie in for boarding and nail trims a couple times over the years and they are always so friendly and treat him like one of their own. Even through the pandemic they have offered curbside service to make sure everyone could still get the bugs and supplies they need. They are a small operation with only one phone line so patience may be needed, but it's worth it.

We bought our baby bearded dragon Magnu from here, and he is healthy and thriving! They take excellent care of their animals here and I feel much more comfortable purchasing a reptile from here than any other place I’ve encountered in SE Michigan

The woman was extremely rude and had no interest even letting me explain why I wanted to exchange my tortoise for another one since he wasn’t thriving in my environment with another female tortoise like they said he would. Not they're fault, just thought they’d be more understanding and actually care about the well-being of my pet. I’d shop elsewhere.

I bought my super banana pastel ball python here! Hazel was very helpful in giving me all the information and care tips I could need to take my little guy home. They have great deals on supplies too! I’d definitely recommend anyone to go here either for purchasing a reptile, or keeping up on supplies!

Dont let you in and when you ask to see a specific animal they have they say they won’t bring them all to the window... their website sucks. How are you suppose to know if you want something if you can’t see it until you buy it....

Went on 10/21/20 and had no problems. However, you have to call to place your order and you can’t go into the store. Other than that no problems. Sold me a healthy and energetic baby red eared slider would recommend.

Today I call the store and inquired about a Breaded Dragon and the nice lady answered and said she had customers and could I call back in 10min, I called back in 10 mins another female answered I also told her what I wanted and she was very rude and nasty even hanging up in me I was confused and I called back and I kept getting the voice mail so she left me to assume my area code means I'm not welcome or my business is not accepted so anyone with a 313 area code may avoid giving them our business. Racism is very much ALIVE.

The ladies that work here are super rude. Was interesting in buying a bearded dragon from them and they do not let you hold or touch them unless you are 100% buying them” idk I’ve never been told that by any other pet stores. They push you to hurry your shopping up that you cannot take your time and just look around. I spent about 10 minutes in here and walked out everything was over priced anyway. I try to support local businesses but they really don’t deserve it. I’d pay for their customer service classes

The lady who runs that place is very very rude she thinks she knows everything and doesn't take anyone else opinions, she loves to insult you for being curious and her reptiles are nothing special highly over priced as well, NO CLUE HOW SHES IN BUSINESS! Will never go there again I don't bash people especially small business owners but this lady is something else! I've been there twice and both times she was just a bitter very bad vibes person makes you feel very uncomfortable, critters in Allen park is the exact opposite so shout out to the I love u guys

Bought my first snake from Stingers and the women running the show were extremely knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. My Kingsnake loves his new home and I am having a blast with it! I'll be back for more exotic animals soon! Would definitely recommend shopping here. #supportlocalbusinesses
