I would give 3.5 but that’s not an option. This place is BUSY - like, all the time. We first came after paying way too much at Blue Pearl in Southfield and needed antibiotics for our cat. Our first trip in, we were seen as a same-day appointment and got to chat with the doctor and walked away with meds that worked, but more importantly peace of mind. The rest of our visits have been a little different- super long wait times (1+ hours even with an appointment) and we haven’t talked to a doctor the last 3 visits. They’re understaffed and slammed which is unfortunate for your anxious pets who have to wait a very long time. I had to follow up on lab results bc they never called. Overall, I’m bummed that we probably won’t continue coming here solely bc of the wait times. The prices are reasonable and staff is okay, it’s clean and organized….but I don’t have an entire evening to sit around for what should’ve taken 20 minutes.

Great Vet services We had to put our Rottweiler down due to bone cancer he was our family and they did an amazing job when the time came they were very understanding and compassionate. We will be back for their services with our other animals!

Contacted the animal hospital to make an appointment for my two dogs to get shots the receptionist said they only have Sunday available at 11:20am which was okay for me. She specifically asked me was my dog the system and I told her my dogs name Bluez (which she has been at this location before) and then I had a puppy coming along too for shots. I get to the location and check in and they’re telling me that I don’t have an appointment when I just spoke with somebody two days ago and she told me to be there at 11:20 for my appointment. This is really inconvenient and unreliable when I have scheduled off of work to take care of this. Not sure how likely I will be returning, this is not appropriate.

Dr. Chadha is absolutely amazing, along with all the staff of course. They have all been amazing with helping along my girl Kodaks IMHA journey. ????

Business Review, Dix Animal Hospital, first off the front line and tech staff is great. This post is in no means a reflection on them or their customer service skills. The Doctors and Management are absolutely deplorable. I work with a reputable rescue and through the years we have taken many dogs to DAH. Needless to say that tie has been severed. I took a dog in on 12/28 to have a exam done. Three procedure were discussed and I was given a printed quote. I made the appointment for the procedures to be done on Tuesday 1/4. Monday night DAH calls and tells me because of the complexity of the procedures we have to move them to today (1/6). I agree, not a issue. Between staffing shortages and COVID everyone deserves some give. The staff tells me they will re-examine the dog morning of and give me a more accurate quote. I specifically ask that the quote i had recieved prior is accurate? The staff member takes a moment, confirms with the doctor and assures me it is. Looking back this should have been the first red flag as I’ve never experienced this at another vets office. Why would the price change over a week? I arrive within my scheduled window the dog is taken back for another exam and brought back. The doctor enters and tells me that the quote his staff provided. That I had reconfirmed on monday is no longer valid and the procedures are going to be at least $1000 more. I demand a explanation and his official response was”it is what it is”. He then goes on some rant about I want this stuff done for cheap and if I can find it cheaper some place else he will take an additional 20% off. Excuse me? Are we now haggling over the cost of a medical procedure for a living creature. If you’re looking for basic medical care for a animal check ups, preventative meds, vaccines. Dix Animal Hospital is convenient and cost-effective. Any sort of procedure or emergency i would strongly recommend searching elsewhere

Our dog had multiple mast cell tumors that were misdiagnosed as skin irritation. She was given prednisone - which shrinks those kinds of tumors. When they inevitably returned, we took her to another vet who recognized them immediately and did the proper testing. This misdiagnosis caused us to catch these tumors almost 6 months after they appeared. We lost precious time for treatment that we will never get back. We will not ever bring another animal here.

They were quick, helpful, patient, and capable. Everything you could ask for when your loved one is on the line. My cat is not out of the woods yet but there is improvement. and again, that is all I can ask for at this point. Thank you.

Truthfully I believe if it wasn't for Dix Animal Hospital my furbaby wouldn't be here. She was having serious complications after delivering her puppies and the hospital staff had me rush her in asap they are the most Caring staff I've ever experienced. U highly recommend this veterinary hospital

The only place I’ll take any pets from now on! Nothing could be done for my cat Jett, but the staff was beyond amazing. To a one they were patient and caring and genuinely cared about Jett’s comfort at the end. A truly wonderful group of people, and I’ll be recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you all!

We had a really close call with our Bernese mountain dog when he ate a T-shirt. The staff was great for the entire process. They did not force surgery immediately and developed a treatment plan that had a strong chance of success. When that didn't work out, they were quick to recognize that surgery needed to be done and communicated that with us quickly. After care was amazing. I got daily updates about our boy and we really felt that the techs that were working with Molson daily cared about him. The home care treatment plan seemed really thorough but it was explained really well to me before we left. I know this is a really drawn out review, but they ready deserve a lot of credit. Molson probably wouldn't be here with out the staff at Dix Animal Hospital.

When I lost my Dexter, they were very caring. I recently took my new puppy Wiley there for his set of shots the staff was very nice a great sense of humor. The Dr. Was very caring. Thank you Lisa who works there for making Wiley and me happy with your service and kindness

Let’s start this off by saying this is a very good animal hospital, Had my dog in for a procedure and had small complications afterwards but Beth and hailey were wonderful and very helpful and truly cared to solve the issue, on the other hand a lady named Lisa that works at the front desk lacks communication skills, also Gives off an “I don’t care” attitude. I have 5 dogs at home, and I am a good paying customer, but one employee with this type of attitude would be the ONLY reason I would have doubts bringing my dogs there again…

DO NOT GO THERE! I brought my Yorkie cause he was limping (got hurt playing with another dog) . The doctor told me he had an injury on his spine and he wouldn’t be able to walk again unless he had a surgery. They tried to sell me laser therapies (which I refused). After few days my dog started getting better and I decided to take him to another vet somewhere else for a second opinion. We found out the problem wasn’t in the spine , but on his knee ligaments.. he had them broke. DO NOT TRUST THE DOCTORS IN THIS HOSPITAL. They only want your money!!

Update: due to many vets being so overly booked I've given this place a 2nd chance. I was able to get my dog in on a Saturday after calling 2 days before and they allowed me to bring my other dog who was also having similar issues. I was in and out within an hour. Much happier with service. Thank you ! This is the 2nd time they have FORGOT about me and my pet after we have been checked in. They called back everyone person but us. When I asked when we will be seen they realized someone NEVER put us in when we checked in with the front desk. NOT ONE TIME were we apologized to. The 1st time I was forgotten in a room with my cat when I was DROPPING him off for surgery. They only realized they forgot about my cat again when I asked what's taking so long. NO SORRY NOTHING. Please take your pets elsewhere where you won't be forgotten about and where the vet spends more than literally 2 seconds with you pet. I will never come back. I'd rather pay emergency prices than to be ignored and forgotten about.

My dog was sick and ut came quickly I took marshmallow to them Sunday at 3 and they were open and they helped my puppy and it's now been 3 days and he is like a whole new dog and back to being himself. Great staff and great place. Will be my permanent vet from know on

They got us in when no other vet could.The vet assistant very knowledgeable,kind and caring.The front desk staff doesn't seem to know what is going on.i walked in and told her something was burning, you could smell it when you walked in.i saw the oil burner was empty and could start a fire if she didn't turn it off and offered to do it for her.She just repeatedly said that she put oil in and argued with me.in the mean time,the office could caught fire and all she cared about was arguing.The Dr. Is GREAT ???? THOUGH!

I had an appointment at 5 and was seen til 740 when they were about to close I had to put my dog down and waiting that long was very stressful and traumatic for me I also had my 2 year old with me and then they didn't even call me to say my paw print was there and I wondering if it's really my dog's print but I don't even wanna put that in the air they claimed they were short staffed but I couldn't tell I'm starting to wonder about a lot of these vets it doesn't seem like the pets are their priority any more and I had no choice but to stick with them because every other vet refused me service for all kinds of excuses

Had a appointment today at 3:00pm. I arrived at 2:50. There’s a lady that came in with her puppy at 3:30 and has now been seen before me! SMH. I asked how is it that I’ve had a appointment at 3:00 and I signed in at 2:55 but the person who came in at 3:30 has been called to be seen already? That had no reasonable answer what so ever. What made matters even worse is I said something before they took the lady and her pup back. They totally disregard my concerns. I told them it was unacceptable and they still did nothing about even after they agreed with me. This is my second pet I’ve brought here and I already didn’t like them to begin with because in my opinion they show no real interest in your pet. It’s about the money with them. After today I will officially be changing my vet!

Excellent job on our dog, pitbull terrior who tore his crucial ligament. Staff was excellent and took great care of him. Surgery went very well.

Great service, friendly staff, actually tried to help us get copies of records from our old vet but they couldn't get through to them as well. Will definitely be back again.
