They were quick to intake my dog Hippo who was transferred from VCA Garden City. It socks that only one person can go in with the animal, but it's OK. Waited in the exam room for 3 min, and Dr. Wheat was in to see me about my dogs allergies. She prescribed some meds that would help with his condition and was really gentle with the shot she administered. And Hippo liked her, so that's a plus. She explained everything to me and got me out in less that 30min. Thanks Dr. Wheat!

I am absolutely horrified with this VCA. I have been fighting tooth and nail to get my dog in after they merged with Southland. I have had my appointments cancelled on me more than once. One appointment they ended up cancelling was one that they called me to set up so they could get my dog in sooner - but guess what! He didn’t get seen. Instead they pushed out his appointment another two weeks!! They told me he had never had an exam in the past 2 years which is absolutely untrue, because while at the Southland VCA he had gotten his rabies shot and visited there regularly for his exams - but alas, they lost all that paperwork (even though I have it saved in my emails). It’s a nightmare to ever get a prescription from this place. They want an exam every single time because they want you to pay that exam fee. I never had this issue at Southland VCA with Dr. Nath. And you know this place must be terrible because they had VETS quit and walk out on them. They are unreliable, unorganized, and unapologetic. And the worst part is that I just wanted heart guard for my dog because he came to us from a shelter with heart worm - so he needs it!! And he never had an issue getting it until we were forced to come here! Never again. He will be going to a new veterinary clinic.

First time I called after VCA Taylor transfered records to Allen Park, they had no record of my cats pet food prescription even though someone was approving my orders when I ordered the prescription food off Amazon. Amazon verified with the Taylor location. I was told the vet would call me back about it twice and still haven't heard anything.

My dog saw the vet at the end of July. She's in the end stage of kidney failure. The vet prescribed an anti-nausea medication. The paper prescription was misplaced so I called the vet to see if they could write another prescription for me to pick up. Since it's been a little over a month since they last saw my dying dog, they refused to write a new prescription without seeing her. She's in kidney failure. The only thing we can do at this point is make her more comfortable. The vet made that clear during her exam in July. This veterinarian office clearly doesn't really care about animals. They're more interested in making money. It's pretty despicable to refuse anti-nausea medication to a dying dog. They'd rather put our dog through the stress of visiting the vet and doing an unnecessary exam so they can charge us more money.

I am always blown away with the quality of care given to my boys. VCA Allen Park has been our primary vet for over ten years. My oldest, Gizmo had a urinary blockage when he was a kitten, and saved his life. He's doing well 12 years later on a strict prescription diet! Dr. Leeper is by far the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and honest veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her extensive knowledge of all things cats had helped keep my boys happy and healthy. Her real-life experience "tips & tricks" she always leaves me each visit are worth every penny. She is an invaluable asset to the entire team at VCA. I only have cats, so I can only speak to that front, but if you're a cat owner looking for a veterinarian who knows their stuff, look no further than the team at VCA, especially Dr. Leeper. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for my furbabies! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! VCA is our fur-ever vet!

I am so thankful to DrWheat at VCA . They saw my dog within the hour of my calll. They took care of the problem immediately. They are professional and caring . Here is the kicker , our vet , where we were established patients refused to see us . There were no appts available for weeks. I know I know covid , but my dog could have died - midtown vet in Trenton -turned us away ! Needless to say , we transferred our records to VCA . Forever thankful!

Rarely post google reviews but I'm very upset. If you have a cat you know they HATE car rides. Never was informed to give her some prior medication because they don't know how to handle a cat then they turned us away at the door after a 20 minute crying car ride. Keep in mind we had an appointment and they never mentioned it on the call either. My cat is litterally in pain. Very disappointing, they don't actually care about your pet. Going to find a new vet. Would not recommend at all.

This is tough because I have had good experiences here in the past. However, when you have a cat who will likely die within a week and are told that the soonest appointment is in July, that is very disappointing.

My Cat Maverick was supposed to get a check test and nails clipped..he's over weight didn't get nails clipped...disappointed at least get nails clipped..

I boarded my Yorkiepoo puppy here for a few days while I tended to some business. The staff was nice and I was able to call and check on my puppy daily. The boarding price was reasonable also. I'd use them again.

Very kind person on the phone with my daughter for her newly adopted kitty. Informative and professional. We were happy how they handled her loving fur baby. We will go back here for all check ups. Thank you for the great customer service.

We have brought our family dog here more than a few times and we can't sing enough praise for Dr. Berry and Dr. Leeper. They have both saved her life now and the amount of thanks for them is limitless. Our girl was faintly positive with Ehrlichia, same as our other boy who didn't get the same opportunity as her, (Dr. Berry also did her absolute best with him but shut down kidneys can't be reversed) Dr. Berry provided more opportunities for her to live than we can ever accurately describe which cuts to where Dr. Leeper comes in. She suspected our girl was positive for Addisons disease within 24 hours of meeting her and did the test the second time she saw her. If not for both of these kickass Veterinarians, our family member wouldn't have been around for me to be writing this.

Where to begin... Dr. Berry and Dr. Leeper are not only incredibly talented vets, they're amazing, compassionate human beings. They have both went out of their way, skipped lunches, stayed after hours and have made us feel like ours dogs are lives are very important to them. I owe them so much more than I could ever say. They have saved my girls life twice, literally. We were told years ago, she was incompatible with life, by a highly rated local vet. Dr. Berry had her up and running in a week, and she was fantastic until last week. Dr. Berry wasn't available and I was skeptical to bring her to anyone else, but she became very ill very fast. Dr. Leeper somehow fit her in to her booked schedule and saved her life, again. She diagnosed her with a rare and hard to diagnose disease with little info to go on. She had the proper medication within 24hrs and went from life threatening crisis to back to her normal, happy self. I must also say the techs and reception girls are amazing, friendly, and compassionate as well. I'm so pleased to have this wonderful team for my girl. Thank you VCA Allen Park from ChiChi's family.

Everybody that works there including the office staff and doctors were absolutely wonderful when we had to put our 10-year-old sheep dog Calvin to sleep. They were so caring and made this horrible experience so much easier. They really care about the animals :-) I will never go anywhere else in the future.

VCA is the best vet around. They have taken care of our animals with so much compassion & love. I recommend them to everyone. Even in emergency situations, the service has been impeccable. Thank you all for everything you do ????

Friendly staff and well worth it! We tried many vets in the area. Dr Leeper was knowledgeable, patient and friendly when discussing and diagnosing an issue that kept being overlooked by other vets....we our customers now! Thanks VCA!

Very poor communication between them selves and there clientele

These people are almost fanatical in their concern for may cat. Almost worryingly so.

it was my first visit, and of course I couldn't go inside, so can't comment on that. the techs and the vet were very good about letting me know how the exam went and made very helpful suggestions. i will be taking my cat back soon for shots, and look forward to continuing the relationship.

Was walking my dog couple summers ago and my dog was attacked by a stray dog, by chance across from vca, so I ran in there with my dog yelping in pain and asked if they could check her out real quick, was told I needed a appointment and turned away, so I went to another vet and they took her in right away....I believe vca only cares about your dollar and not the animal, because if you really cared like the other vet, u ou would've seen her

They are the most caring people and they are not over the top in pricing. All 5 of my cats are treated here.

Great place. They are super nice to my dog Calypso. The vets make sure to explain everything to you thoroughly.

The vet very unprofessional, she didn't know what was the problem with my dog even when I already told her besides they charge me for medication they never ask me if I was agree or not for the very high prices, the nurse didn't care about my sick dog, I won't be there again.

This place is fantastic! The staff are all very friendly and they truly care about the health of every animal brought in.
