Brinker Veterinary Hospital Lake Orion, Michigan

Dr. Brinker was recommended to me by my primary veterinarian after it was discovered my 7 year old dog had a torn ACL and needed the TPLO surgery that Dr. Brinker specializes in. I could not have had a better experience from start to finish. Dr. Brinker was extremely thorough in explaining how exactly this happened and what he will do to correct it (even drawing pictures to explain and showing x-rays of past surgeries he has done). The after surgery care instructions were very detailed as well. We had an issue one morning where we noticed my dog got out of his cone over night and tore out all of his stitches. Dr. Brinker was very responsive and had us bring him in first thing that morning to get him stitched back up. All of the staff was very friendly and anytime I called for an appointment they were able to fit me in no problem. Highly recommend.

Dr Brinker is very friendly and professional. He's performed surgery on our dog for both of her knees. The after care is very specific with meds, etc. Dr Brinker explained the surgeries and the after care very well and thoroughly. The staff is great too!!

Twice in 12 months my best doggo has spent the night at Dr. Brinker's... TPLO ×2. Didn't think twice about driving an hour to bring her back for the second. The treatment she's received has been stellar, her care immaculate. I can't recommend this facility strongly enough. Willow LOVES visiting for her aftercare. Whatever negative association she has with her surgeries is overcome by how awesome all the people are that work for Dr. B.

Very nice and thorough doctor and his staff. Edit: my baby 150 pound Saint Bernard had TPLO Surgery to repair torn tendons in his knee. Very reasonably priced and most of all Dr. Brinker was very helpful through the process.

Blinkers is our choice of Vet. Sometimes we have cry when our loved one departed and other times we have smile when the sick ones recovered. Great staff very fair Drs

I grew up taking two family dogs to Brinker, and I now own three dogs that I was taking to Brinker. We're not going back. The 14 year old dog has been violently sick since Monday night, I called Tuesday morning to make an appointment, showed up for said scheduled appointment on Wednesday afternoon only to be told that there had been a mistake and there's no appointment for me and there are no openings for a week. There was no offer to help or make an adjustment, no apology, no recommendation of another office to try, not even any help determining whether I need to rush him to an emergency vet. I've always had relatively healthy dogs, so Brinker has been fine: but if you want to keep going there, you might want to have another vet in your back pocket for when you really need them and they shrug their shoulders and say they can't help you. I found a new vet: they actually let me in the building (masked and one guest at a time, of course). Oh, and I wasn't locked in a room until I paid my bill, either.

Very kind and understanding of even the strangest situations. They recommended me to nice specialist up in Flint to see my dog.

They got our 13 yr old beagle in same day. When everyone else was a 2 to 3 week wait. They did what they could. Unfortunately 1 week later her health declined and we had to make that hard decision no fur parent ever wants to make. We had to let her go over the rainbow Bridge. The staff was very compassionate and I would recommend Brinkers to anyone.

Took my dog in to receive a flu shot. 1. Still not allowed into the office so I had to wait in the parking lot. 2. They went ahead and did an examination on my dog without even telling me that they would. Which if I was in the room I would have objected to it. 3. Had to pay not only for vaccination but also the $40 examination. It would have been nice if they told me upfront that an examination would be required before getting the shot. Last year an examination wasn't required with the flu shot. Guess they are just trying to make up for lost revenue Will be taking services elsewhere

I have never experienced such a great group of people- so detailed in explaining the procedure and post surgical care of my dog!!

They are awesome! Just had Axel's 10 wk check up from knee surgery. Dr. Brinker was very pleased with his progress. 8 more weeks and he will be good as new.

Love this place! We were new puppy owners and nervous if we were doing everything right, were we missing anything medically wrong, etc. This place is very thorough with every visit to make sure they send our pup home well-cared for, and us feeling confident. The first visit, they gave us a detailed packet which included all the info needed to stay on top of our pup's medical needs throughout his life. Our pup has needed a few treatments for different issues and they explained all the details, as well as followed up at the next appointment to make sure the issues are completely gone. One time we mentioned something going on with our pup but said it's probably nothing - they were concerned and tested him right away...turns out he had a bad infection! They treated him instantly and I am so grateful that they didn't shrug off what we said. Out of all the vets I have been to, this is the first one that takes you immediately to a private room - they don't use a waiting area so as to ensure your pets are safe and won't get in a fight with other pets that come in. Even when you pay your bill, they have you stay in your private room. A great and much appreciated approach! **EDIT: I had once noted some issues with them not locking in our appointments, but this was a temporary computer system issue that has been long resolved. I have made many appointments since the computer issue and NO PROBLEM. :) Great place, would highly recommend.

We take our cats to Florida every winter. But we wait to come back here in the spring to visit Brinker Veterinary. We love everybody there and they are great!!! Here they are in the car and can't wait to see doctor Brinkers staff!

Nobody cares for your four-legged creatures like they do! I have been with them for 25 years and Dr. Brinker has been there for every little creature I've had! They work with you on the bill if it's expensive and they're so kind and caring! This is the best vet I've ever had!
