We've been going to this vet for 3 years now with never a bad experience- We had a baby 4 months ago(who is currently going through a major sleep regression) and 2 weeks ago my grandma(who raised me) passed away. Baby and I flew out to her funeral and came back the following Tuesday. We had a vet appointment scheduled for that Tuesday and I reminded my husband before I left. They sent him a text message on Friday reminding him of the appointment. It said "If you do not respond to this text message your appointment will be canceled." "Great!" he thought-"It's just too much this week-I won't respond" Turns out our family was given a "STRIKE" and " THREE STRIKES YOUR OUT" is their policy??? We run a fiscally successful small business ourselves and understand the need for boundaries and finding your ideal client. But the system of strikes without CLEAR communication (my husband thought he was opting out of the appointment and therefore did not need to call when he did not respond to the text). AND consideration to loyal patrons-not to mention community members- life circumstances (baby in sleep regression--returning home after a difficult funeral same day as appointment) is the sort of behavior we are not interested in having our family and our family pets be a part of.

I was in a hurry to find help for my kitten who ended up having a double ear infection and ear mites. Hearts and Paws got us in fast and everyone I spoke with was extremely nice and professional. Thank you for taking care of us ❤❤

My mother-in-law took her cat here because he kept vomiting. She is on a fixed income. They absolutely gouged her on the pricing. $562 to give sub-Q fluids, an anti-nausea shot, and run bloodwork. I work with an animal shelter and showed the invoice to the director, who said the services provided should have cost around $400 (even with the upcharge for it being an "emergency" appointment). I ended up paying the bill because my mother-in-law couldn't afford it. I called and spoke with the office manager, Mike, who was completely uncaring and unprofessional. He refused to give me his last name and said my mother-in-law agreed to the charges by signing the treatment plan. Ridiculous! So her choice was either not to get her pet the emergency care needed or get gouged, and they think that's ethical. I'd stay away from this clinic. Find one that doesn't exploit its customers.

Would not recommend this place unless the manager is fired. The staff is great but the guy manager is not good with people at all. Seems like the head vet would do something about it. Lots of bad things are being said about this guy around the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek area. The staff just makes up for it.

I used to take my dog here. The vets are great. The office staff, not so much. I called to reschedule an appointment and was curtly told I didn't have an appointment, but they would be happy to make one for me. Then my dog had an ear infection, they can't see him for a week. I had already waited because they were closed for spring break Thursday and Friday. I called Monday at 1030 and was told he couldn't possibly be seen until the following Monday unless someone canceled. Otherwise, I would have to go to the emergency vet. I called numerous places trying to get in, but to no avail of course. I called back to Hearts and Paws hoping to maybe be seen really quick and get started on antibiotics. We could then have come back in a week. But instead I was told they needed 50 minutes for an ear exam. I started to explain that he came down with it Wednesday and I had already waited because they were closed. Mind you, I wasn't complaining, merely explaining. I was cut off in mid sentence and made to feel like the staff weren't entitled to a vacation too and to spend time with their families. Not what I even remotely said, thank you. So $260 later and hours long wait. I was worried about my poor dog and the ER vet asked me if I had a regular vet wondering why I hadn't taken him there. After this lovely experience, Hearts calls me and says they can see him Friday. I said no I had taken to the ER vet. Then she nicely said to call them if we needed anything. I thought to myself " are you serious?" I'm good. Found a new vet and established a relationship there. Makes me sad...

My dog started coming here at 11 months old. This office has changed so much since the female vet took over and not in a good way, in my opinion. The last time he was seen, Dec 2019. He needs sedation because he is aggressive. I have tried to get appts between Dec 19 and May 6, 2021 to no avail, being referred to the VCA. Yesterday I called the office in tears and asked for something to sedate him, I have made the very tough decision to put him down. He has become more aggressive and unpredictable. He lunged at my child Monday. The office refused any assistance, guidance, or plea for a script. If and when the time comes, I will never bring another pet here. Zero compassion for the trauma for not only my dog but my child and myself as well.

I called my previous vet that I had taken my cats to on Mosel but because of COVID their hours are reduced and though I left messages I never received a call back. I called other vets but the only one that would let me bring my cat in. They were very helpful. They even called me to check on my cat and to advise me on his diet (he was having bloody stools) which was above and beyond my expectations.

I’ve brought my cat here a couple of times, she doesn’t always do great with strangers so I’m always pleasantly surprised when she lets some random person take her out of her carrier, especially when I’m not in the room with her. I love that they have video conferencing (which is why I started going here in the first place, during the pandemic), I feel so much less stressed about taking my ancient kitty in when I can at least see the exam happening.

Staff have been amazing in the 1 month!! They took care of my baby after she was bit by a muskrat saving me. I Finally got the boy's in to get neutered 2 days ago. Have 3 appointments in first 2 weeks of April for 2nd shots for everyone including the elder cat ????

They are a good hospital. My dog got asperation, and did not respond to antibiotics, so she had to be put to sleep. I was surprised at how compassionate they were in this process. They even sent me a morning card in the mail, that was signed by the full staff. I miss my little girl so much.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I figured I would since I had such a good experience! I needed to establish a new vet in the area and was recommended to this animal hospital. They found me an appointment very quickly that fit in my schedule. I warned them ahead of time that my dog has anxiety so he is very reactive towards other dogs and strangers and they accommodated me beyond my expectations. I’m very happy with our new vet!

Just recently took my fur babies to an appointment they had. The sight of seeing the remodel actually finished was amazingly well done. While waiting in the room. Noticed there is now a TV and a speaker to of which you now speak to the veterinarian, and get to watch what is going on to your fur babies. Which to my wife and I thought was very new and impressive.

Love it here, and so does my pup! Everyone is super friendly and you can tell they love the animals that come in to see them. Been taking my puppy here since I got him and he is always wanting to snuggle the staff and give them kisses when he arrives.

My daughter is 14 months old and literally everyone in there who had an animal had very little problem letting my little girl while we was waiting for a ride love on them
