They are very good with our cats which are never happy to go anywhere.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Billings and their team! They are really great with both of my dogs. One of my rescues is on the anxious side, but does really well with the whole team. Dr. Billings is great about explaining everything and takes the time to make sure you actually understand. Also, one of my dogs had to have surgery this year, and Dr. Billings kept me updated halfway so that I didn't get overwhelmed. 100% recommend this place!

Both Dr. Spreyer and Dr. Billings are very attentive and knowledgeable, and they genuinely care about the health and well-being (physically and emotionally) of my dogs. We have been seeing them for 2.5 years now, ever since moving to the area, and I would 100% recommend going to Friendship Animal Hospital if you're new to Portage or are looking for a new vet.

We had our first puppy appointment today with Dr. Billings and it went so well! Everyone in the office was so welcoming and excited to meet my puppy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a veterinarian.

2021: They definitely went through some staffing and organization issues during COVID-19 and we had a lot of problems here through 2020. However, things seem to be back on track, and our complaints over the year eventually got up to the right place. Dr. Sprayer is the newest doctor and she's super nice. We still love Billings. Tina at the front is awesome and great at getting things done. ---- 2019: I LOVE this vet office. Having been to many over the years, this is just the most friendly and personalized of them. I stumbled upon them when I lived across the street, and now I wouldn't switch unless we left the county. Dr. Billings is so awesome. She is very accommodating and remembers all of our pets and their issues. She's easy to talk to, and great at teaching. I can email her with issues to avoid a full visit if it's a normal thing acting up. They are great with med refills and really tailoring the experience to what you need and what works for you. Both of our dogs are on the scared end of the spectrum, and they do a really good job reading their body language and treating them as individuals who need different strategies to get their check-up and shots done. One of our cats has anxiety that manifests via urinary symptoms. They did a thorough job of diagnosing it promptly and prescribing some medication (long term and as-needed), which I know is not as easily diagnosed and treated at other places. (My mom's cat has the same problem, and she CANNOT get her vet to prescribe medication that will actually treat the anxiety.) Their educational background is more progressive and client-centered, and it definitely shows. I'm so thankful to be somewhere that takes my pets' concerns (via my communication) very seriously.

I cannot use enough positive adjectives to describe this office. The team here is just simply amazing. They are respectful, friendly, patient and fantastic listeners. They are so good with my dog. I feel so at ease knowing he is in great hands. I've had more issues lately with my dog and I have been so at ease knowing they are just a phone call away. They have gone above and beyond to help and I couldn't be any more grateful.

Such an amazing practice. Always excellent and compassionate care provided for our puppy!

Cut the quick on my dogs nails causing him to bleed everywhere. Did bloodwork and tests without confirmation. Essentially gave up on my dog when he resisted them after they hurt him.

Our first puppy appointment with Dr. Billings was fabulous! Everyone was so welcoming and made our Rotties pup feel so welcome! Such a positive experience; I am so excited to have found this office for our pup!

I cannot recommend Friendship Animal Hospital, specifically Dr. Billings, enough! Our dog was being treated for a dog bite and Dr. Billings along with the whole staff were top-notch. They were so great at explaining everything to me and showed my dog such compassion it made the experience so much easier. You can tell they love what they do and are doing everything with the best intentions!

My dog suddenly started limping in the middle of the night. I called our vet and then a couple of vets in the area trying to get him seen on such short notice. Understandably, the other vets could not see us. I saw the good reviews left for Friendship Animal Hospital and decided to call them. They fit us in within a couple of hours (despite clearly being busy based on the number of dogs we saw going in/out while we were there). The receptionist, vet tech, and vet in particular were extremely kind. Times are still strange with curbside care because of COVID, but the vet herself called to discuss my dogs care, her recommendations prior to doing anything, she offered an estimate for the x-rays my dog needed, and she even checked something unrelated to the issue we went in for. The vet called days later to check on our dog, as well. We have definitely found our new vet in the area after our experience today.

Services have been great and the communication is wonderful.

Not to impressed. I don’t know if it is the receptionist or what but I have gone to this vet office twice 6 months apart for the same thing with my dog. They never call back. The first time I accidentally missed my appointment. They never called to see if everything was ok or to reschedule. The second time I was told they were going to ask the doctor about future action on my dog’s condition and call back within the week. Two weeks later I had to call. They have no history of that conversation and promise they will cal back later that day. 5 days later I call and no explanation for not calling. So they just dont care. The doctor was nice but it makes me feel like they don’t actually care.

Office staff and doctors are amazing!! We switched vets due to unprofessionalism at our last vet, and I could not be more thrilled with the care that my two dogs received. HIGHLY recommend this clinic!

We started taking our two dogs here when we first moved to Michigan. For a short time we went to a different vet, only because they were more geographically convenient. But we came back! The staff at Friendship exudes compasion and caring for our dogs. We have full confidence in their expertise and advice. Our dogs like them, too.

They were very concerned about my Ava. Made sure I had dates that I would need later.

The staff at Friendship animal hospital is wonderful! Dr Billings is very knowledgeable and compassionate with my fur babies. As a matter of fact my dog just had surgery to remove a growth from her leg and everyone, right down to the receptionist, showed genuine concern for her. I would highly recommend this vet clinic to anybody looking for a vet for their precious fur babies.
