My experience here was terrible. The demand for vet care has gone to their head. 2-3 month wait on appointments... show up exactly on time or your appointment will be given to someone else....then you can wait another month... like most, I own my dog....and as the owner I signed CDVC's release allowing my dogs medical records to be sent to me via email. THEY HAVE REFUSED because I'm not a vet... ATTITUDE the one thing you will get plenty of here. THEY ARE ALSO HEAVILY OVERPRICED. HIRE NEW STAFF... PS. I REALLY DID LIKE THE DOCTOR. She was always thorough and gave great advice and you can tell she loves it. Unfortunately her business is going to tank unless she replaces the secretaries.

15 minute hold times before knowing the reason for calling. 2 month wait on appointments all at 2-3 times the cost. taking my pets elsewhere and I will spread the word.

We used to use Pet Vet Clinic on 28th street, but they were awful. This place is the exact opposite! They are so friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. Go here!

Dr Coll took exceptional care of our puppy during her surgery. She even came back to check on her after hours. We are thankful for her knowledge and care for the animals she helps and for the staff who was so kind and helpful! Thank you so much!

I just adopted my puppy from a rescue in Grand Rapids. The adoption could not be finalized until after he was neutered so the rescue scheduled his appointment. When I went to pick him up me and the other people who had adopted his siblings were told to "stand in the corner so they could deal with their clients" while we were there picking up our puppies that they had just done surgery on. I was handed my puppy and was not told what had been done, what aftercare was needed, or any follow up. I noticed he had what appeared to be a second incision on his belly. I called the next day to ask if that is where his microchip had been inserted. They informed me it was a tattoo to indicate that he had been fixed. I was never consulted about this and would have not wanted that done. I felt that my puppy's care was not a priority and because he was a rescue he was being shuttled out as quickly as possible.

Been going here for over 25 years. Stopped going just recently other than things covered under my "shots for life" because I feel they care more about making money and less about the pets. Had two pets die and then they sent me notification weeks after about shots needed. Really? Also when my pets did pass I recieved a card with signatures of people that worked there. Mind you Blue Pearl didnt even know my pet other than to put them down and everyone involved wrote some kind words about him/her. Just think they need to value there customers a lot more.

Not only was the vet we saw rude and unwilling to answer questions, getting the medical records for our dog sent to our new vet was a hassle. The receptionist was snarky and kept sending to the wrong vet despite me giving her the correct fax number and email address. It literally took me 5 phone calls, my vet to call twice, prior to getting records sent over. Unbelievably frustrating to have to ask that many times and have the receptionist argue with you that she sent it to the correct place when she kept telling me she sent to the wrong vet. Never again

Very compassionate staff! Got me in, within an hour, with an emergency situation, and my pet was a new patient. I will always refer people to this vet.

I have never written a review about a business because if I’ve ever had bad service or a bad experience I try to give them a second chance and realize we’re all human and make mistakes. But since I’ve had my dog go here, I feel I’m constantly overcharged. I will call and ask for an estimate before I come in, I go to check out and it’s at least $100+ than what they told me over the phone. I was recently charged over$400 for them to see my dog who was in a LOT of pain, we couldn’t figure out where. I left him there for the day so they could sedate him and do X-rays. I picked him up at 4:30 and the Dr. looked at me and said she can’t find anything, and sent us home with pain meds. I called the next day at 1:40 and told them my dog is still no better, in a ton of pain, the receptionist said she’ll speak to the Dr and call me back within an hour. 4:30 rolls around and I have yet to hear a thing. For someone who just spent that much $ at a business you think they would value their patients and how we feel about our pets. I had other people warn me to not go here in the beginning and I should’ve listened when my first time there the receptionist was very rude to me, I should’ve gone with my gut. Very upset as I have a dog who is NO better and in a lot of pain!

My dog presented with symptoms of a UTI on Wednesday evening and when I called them Thursday morning they fit me into their schedule Thursday afternoon! The entire staff was wonderful!! From the check-in process to the exam everyone was warm, welcoming, concerned, professional, and attentive. I am so grateful to them for getting us in to see the doctor so quickly! Plus, the entire visit (including tests, medicine, and exam) was way less expensive than I was anticipating. I will be recommending them to friends/family and anyone who needs an amazing vet! Thank you so much Chicago Drive Vet Clinic : )

Chicago Drive Vet is great! A lot of the reviews say they overcharge. I don’t believe that’s true. I priced a few clinics and they aren’t the cheapest, but they also aren’t overcharging, and the service you get there is worth every penny! This coming from someone on a budget, saving for college. To the people who say they got an estimate and then were charged way more, well that happens sometimes. I went in expecting to pay a certain amount and got charged $$ more, because my kitten had worms. But I was willing to pay the amount and felt she was getting the care she needed. The staff here are super courteous, friendly, and they really care about the animals. The vet tech went over basically all aspects of kitten care with me and made sure we had no concerns, and gave a lot of great suggestions. The doctor (Dr. Weirsema) was super thorough, so thorough that she actually found the tiny scab that was just from my kitten getting a microchip inserted. Bottom line, excellent veterinary care for a fair price. Go to Chicago Drive Vet!

After adopting my cat, I chose to see this clinic because some family members absolutely swear by it. I however, did not feel that way and was blatantly treated in a blase manner of which I have never seen toward any of my family members when I accompanied them. I'm sure that everyone that works there are probably great people and competent at what they do. However, I believe I may start looking into finding a new veterinarian.

4/3/18 I called to get a rough quote for an exam and dental. I have my dogs teeth cleaned every two years. I've never had to pay more that $250 and wanted to make sure I stayed within my budget. Whoever answered the phone was clearly frustrated that I wanted a rough quote. She had a tone that was obvious she was annoyed. After getting no quote she said an emergency walked in. She told me I would have to call back and then hung up. I was kind of stunned at the lack of professionalism for a receptionist. I work in customer service myself and would have handled the situation differently.

They really care about your pets

I debated giving them three starts, however they are an excellent vet who understand that pets are a true member of the family. Only issue is the wait time. Whatever your appointment time is, expect that they will be 10-15 minutes behind. It's frustrating, especially if you take time off from work to bring your pet.

So this will be long but bear with me (business owners, I'm talking to you). Bottom line up front: Your failure to price match in one instance has lost you business over the long term. We have moved a lot in our pet ownership years, and had several vets over time for our dogs and cats. Some vets are super great and friendly, others care only about the bottom line. We had brought our dogs to your clinic previously for routine check ups and vaccines. We signed up for your vaccines for life program, so now we're kind of locked in. This was our last month of preventative medicine, so I called to see what your prices were on Revolution. For two dogs for a years supply, it was $120 more than a popular online pet medicine site. I asked if you price match, you said no. Our old vet would price match the online retailer (I like that online retailers force business to be competitive, it's good for the consumer). Strike 1. Then the person on the phone tried to scare me into not using Revolution because "it only protects against one type of tick". She couldn't tell me whether that one type of tick transmits Lyme, or if they all do. She wanted to sell me other kinds of medicine, which were more expensive than Revolution. The CDC answered that only that one type (Deer Tick), which Revolution protects against, transmits Lyme. Strike 2 for scare tactics. PS, we moved here from the north east, where you can't walk to your car without seeing a tick. Then, she said that as a policy they do not deal with online retailers because they "don't want to represent me". Strike 3 for trying to make it harder for families to save some money by using online retailers. We hadn't signed our cat up for the lifetime vaccine program, and now we're not going to, and for anything outside of routine vaccines covered under the yearly club deal, we're going to take our business elsewhere. Instead of having a good relationship with online retailers and your customers, you are trying to protect your bottom line - which, in the long run, will hurt your bottom line because people like us don't appreciate being exploited. You may not feel the hurt now, or next year, but your business plan is not viable for the long term. You've been warned!

Very reasonable prices compared to places closer to the city, staff is friendly enough, and we are always in and out quickly. Overall a good experience!

One of the best animals clinic. Never go anywhere else anymore. Very helpful staff.

Very uncaring, they seem to care more about money then pets. I wouldn't recommend them for people who see pets as family. I felt the doctor was practically a robot and gave me no hope for the health of my dog unless I dropped $500 on the spot for multiple tests that were not even necessary after all
