The reason I bring my pets here is Dr. Lindamood, and the reason I bring them to Dr. Lindamood is because she practices alternative and holistic methods. Just like docs for humans, some animal docs just prescribe meds to alleviate whatever discomfort a pet is experiencing, without determining the core issue, figuring out WHAT is causing the pain or illness. Dr. Lindamood is gentle, caring, educated and intelligent. I am so glad I found her!

You call yourselves a hospital? I just called you crying bc my dog is extremely sick. The rude woman told me she couldn't get my dog in for another 2 weeks. My dog is dying ma'am. Thanks a lot. Moving all 3 if my animals to a different vet. Update*** Kira did in fact pass away that day. Thank you to the kind doctors at a neighboring hospital who helped us immediately with a peaceful goodbye. This place sucks.

I was pleased My dog; who was screaming/Yelping in pain with a toothache Received Medicine to Calm Her pain down;but 3 hours and a hefty ($) Cost; I still had to take her to my regular vet for dental x-rays and an extraction. They didn’t do that there. I was a little surprised at that. And then when I got a hold of my vet they don’t do that they don’t have an x-ray machine. Many vets don’t. Which I did Not know. I paid $600 in March to have my other dog’s teeth cleaned and he didn’t get any x-rays taken, but he did get five teeth pulled. !?!?!? So three hours on the phone looking for A VET that would take my dog- I wasn’t able to find any. 14 phone calls later I finally got my dog in a week later just for a General check up 1st…. All the Vets are maxed out appointment wise until January or June. Including MSU…So I was really frustrated that my dog with A Root Abcess( and she was in pain )cannot get in for a couple months. :( Frustrating! If your pet has any dental needs, or needs a teeth cleaning- I highly recommend you make the appointment now because you’re not going to get in for a long time. ????????

Brought my rabbit here to be treated for ear issues. Was given medication for a yeast infection which did not clear up his symptoms. I came back and requested him to be looked at and because his ear no longer presented as infected, she said he was fine without a full exam. I had scheduled a full exam and requested one, and she decided that just peeking at him was fine and didn’t perform or charge me for any exam. Fast forward two months later my rabbit has a full blown double ear infection on two different anti biotics. The other vet I took him to was surprised my my experience. Don’t trust doctor fosdick.

Appreciate how helpful the staff was to get us acclimated to this new vet situation. Gracie, the golden, did very well.

They didn't do x-rays on our dog after we described the issues he was having with his breathing. They gave him meds and that was it after 10 years of bringing him here. If they would have done x-rays they would have found the issue and possibly been able to prevent his untimely death today. Our family is heartbroken.

I had taken my other animals to them, but recently took a new one. Very disappointed when I had my appointment. Then tests that were supposed to take 45 minutes took aver 2 1/2 hours. Missed a meeting with work. Nobody was friendly when I was in there except the one girl that came in the room in the beginning. Her name was Emily. Have always trusted Dr. Lindenmood, not happy right now. Told me that there is inflammation but nobody could tell me why. Did they think I wouldn't ask when told needed to give her anti-inflammatory medicine. Maybe if I was someone who didn't care about my animal I wouldn't question anything. Had several questions, none of which were answered. Maybe it's because of COVID 19 everyone is on edge, but not a reason to take out on the people who pay your bills. Very little time spent on any conversation. Waiting on call for why the inflammation if no urinary infection. If I don't get a call , they will continue to get them until I get answers. I will be finding a vet closer to home. Have recommended them to so many, and now after my appointment I wonder why? Very disappointing and disheartening.

Very impressed! Our dog had a treat lodged in his throat last night, and we thought he had some excess still stuck in there this morning. I live in Grand Blanc, and called 15 vets around me and 2 emergency vets in the area- all of which wouldn’t see our boy. Howell Animal Hospital not only saw us, but allowed us to come in right away, saw our boy right away, and prescribed him medication to assist in his recovery. All of this was done within about a half hour my arrival- it took me longer to drive here than we were waiting- and the price was very reasonable! Thank you so much, Howell Animal Hospital.

Dr Sveller helped me put my cat to sleep today. During “Covid times” i was able to go into the clinic ( with my mask on, of course) and hold her as she slipped away. I was so grateful for the kindness and compassion as this was a tough thing to go through. The staff was great and accommodating. Not the first time i have been and it wont be the last for sure! Amazing bed side manner and so so nice. Highly recommend.

Very disapointed with them... I called and scheduled an appointment for our dog to get her shots and have a chip implanted. Because of COVID-19 only one person is allowed in at a time. My wife wanted to go in with the dog and she took my credit card. (What could go wrong?) Wife comes out and said everything went fine. We go home and I look at the bill only to find out they did tests that I didn't request and didn't implant the chip.

We have used Howell Animal Hospital for over 40 years and I have always felt good bringing my animals here. The vets and techs are kind and patient and have been super helpful. One of our dogs was hit by a car and my folks couldn't get him out of his 2-room dog house so one of the vets came to help. There have been times that money was tight and I couldn't afford all the testing suggested and they were understanding and only the must-haves were done. I trust them to take care of my animals. Dr Lindamood has been there for many. many years and she is so well informed about many disciplines of veterinary medicine. She has taken care of our animals with kindness and compassion. Dr. Fosdick has been caring for my two older cats, 12 &14 for a few years and I trust her.She took the time to look at their diet and recommend changes that weren't going to break the bank. Both the ladies are kind and nurturing. The front desk staff is always nice and helpful. I have been there for routine care and also severe injuries. They gave a great recommendation to a cancer care clinic for one of the dogs. I strongly recommend them!

Today I put my best friend of 10 years to rest at the Howell Animal Hospital. We used to live in Howell 8 years ago and we actually took our dog Zorro, who went to doggy heaven today there to this vet when he was a baby. Due to my work moving to downtown Detroit we moved to Northville. We have 4 other fur babies and I can tell you from this day forward we will be making the drive and taking all of our animals here. The service is well worth it. I know how much each person that works here cares for the animals that come through their doors and the families that come with them. They helped to put us at ease on this difficult day and helped to ensure we were doing the right thing in a very difficult situation. It meant the world to me and my family and for that they will have my business for life!

First time to be in need of a Vet since moving to the area and got recommendations before making a decision on where to take my 12 yo Malti-poo. We were seen quickly...the assistant took my scared dog out of the room for a stool sample and then again for blood The dr came in pushed around on her, said she had liver disease and would give her meds and “I hope you don’t mind, I ‘snuck in’ an x-ray“. I asked if I should bring her back. She said no, she would call Monday to check on her. My dog had to be put down (at another vet) 14 days later. That was in March and this is almost June1 and still have not received that call. I was charged $306 for 15 minutes....it included the meds, the tests, an X-ray and a “geriatric” exam as well as the diagnosis exam. A lot of people like this place, but never again will I overlook the bad reviews.

Howell Animal Hospital used to be great. My dog was dying, and I brought her to Howell animal hospital for help. The vet didn’t even bother examining her, and said she would be fine if we had her eye removed because she had a ruptured cornea. Didn’t really make sense, but gave me hope, and even though she suggested the surgery, they wouldn’t do it until the covid restrictions were up. My poor dog suffered hard for another 2 weeks, and we decided to take her to an emergency vet. They actually took the time to examine her, and they said her cornea was not only not ruptured, it was the least of her problems. I felt horrible, she suffered so much from the incompetence of the vet in Howell. I wouldn’t recommend the vet we had to an enemy. No animal should suffer like that. They did send a sympathy card, but what they did was horrible.

Very caring veterinary hospital. I was turned down for emergency service at my vet, Ann Arbor Animal Hospital and couldn't find another place to take my sick dog. Howell Animal Hospital fit me in because they are compassionate and we got excellent care. Thank you Dr Kettle and staff. Zsa Zsa is doing good! We will be back for regular visits.

Only giving 1 star because I have to in order to write a review. Otherwise I'd give 0 stars. The doctor was so unbelievably rude I felt unwelcomed. She ignored me as I tried to shake her hand. Talk to me for under 5 minutes priorat most and said my dog was fine. Then perceeded to try to charge me $80 over the $60 quote the front desk gave me while also pushing me to spend more on unnecessary tests as my dog was in perfect health as she stated several times making me first sound like an idiot for bringing my dog in the first place and then proceeded to make me feel like a neglectful owner for not getting more tests. Then tossed us out by slamming the door and acted completely annoyed that she had to even interact with me. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Shame on them

Our experience has not been good. The issue was incorrect follow up testing after administration of a prescribed medicine for Cushing Disease. We received conflicting information from the office so checked with the drug manufacturer and learned the medicine had been administered incorrectly with our dog having dangerous side effects.
