Such caring techs and vets!

Words can't quite accurately describe what the doctors and staff here have done for me & my dogs over the years. The level of care, passion, kindness, empathy, and expertise I've experienced at/from OAH is incredibly high. I have no doubt that their care extended and enhanced the lives of my two Rat Terriers. This year I had to say goodbye to my 17 & 16 year-olds...it was gut wrenching to say the least. The way OAH helped me care for them (especially in their last days) and ultimately say goodbye is something I'm forever grateful for. It's always hard letting your ill furry friends go, but OAH made the process peaceful and painless for my dogs (and regret-free for me). Now they're caring for my newly adopted mini poodle mix. I cannot recommend OAH enough.

We just absolutely love Dr Carlson! She’s very detailed, checks in on Peanut, goes above and beyond for our kitty. I won’t take her any where else!

Went in a couple days ago with my dog.. the prices were higher than snoop Dogg and when I couldn't afford their crazy prices the lady behind the desk had the nerve to tell me if I can't afford to take care of a pet I shouldn't have got one.. hands down the worst vet experience I've ever had

Very compassionate and truly care for your pet

They saw my cat when my regular vet couldn't get him in for about a month. The doctor was super helpful and gave me a list of things to do to help my cats eye heal. The staff was friendly and my cat is doing great.

My new favorite place in Holland! I recently moved to the area and with multiple pets in my home, something is always bound to happen. They have squeezed two of my pups into their busy schedule and took phenomenal care of both of them (and me too by relieving my stress and anxiety).

Friendly, professional staff. Always responsive and helpful. Very caring and loving to our dog and cat. Highly recommended.

In the area on vacation and my dog had an allergic reaction to something. Face was swollen, eyes swollen and vomiting. Googled emergency vet and this place came up. Checked their website and it says they take emergencies. I called them and they told me sorry they were booked. Really? They didn’t even have information about an emergency vet. I was just told it is in Grand Rapids. I understand they have patients but shouldn’t say they take emergencies if they really don’t.

So pleased with the care my dog has received from Ottawa Animal Hospital! Ottawa Animal Hospital got my dog in on short notice when the vet my family had previously used gave us a two week wait on an injury my dog needed to be seen for urgently. Once my dog was seen, the communication from Ottawa Animal Hospital has been outstanding. At one point my pet's labwork was delayed due to weather (not at all Ottawa Animal Hospital's fault), and they called me to inform me of the delay and then called again the next day to follow up when labwork had been received. Very pleased with both care and communication.

Staff were friendly, showed care for my kitten, explained everything so that I knew what and why it was happening. Felt like my kitten was treated well in their care.

I had to say goodbye to my cat that was unwell due to old age health problems. They were kind, patient, and explained each step of the process. I was allowed to hold her and say Goodbye.

Honestly really disappointed in the service here. 2 stars because I didn't meet the vet. Every time I've called, the receptionist has an attitude and you can hear it in her tone. I thought maybe she was having a bad day and let it go.. Wrong. Different day, same attitude. To be honest I rather not deal with that because who wants to bring their pet to a place where the workers act like that? Driving all the way to Cascade animal hospital in Grand Rapids because this is unacceptable! Don't get a job as a receptionist if you can't speak to people without an attitude.

Our family has been incredibly impressed with Ottawa Animal Hospital. Dr. Zimmerman and the techs love and care for our dog so well. It also seems like they try to implement the least costly services first to see how our dog responds, and move from there. They've also been very safe through COVID. We highly recommend.

An outstanding group of folks who took excellent care of my beloved dog. I am beyond grateful for the time and care they provided for my Charlie (a 2 year old Pit bull) especially after I had a really disappointing experience with another vet in town. His previous vet admitted (after two unsuccessful visits for his ear infection and a lot of money wasted) to being prejudice against Charlie’s breed and therefore didn’t offer proper care. That meant my Charlie suffered from this ear ache two weeks too long. Ottawa Animal Hospital West didn’t even show a moment of hesitation when I requested Charlie become a new patient there and told them his breed. In fact the woman who set up the appointment for us was already expressing joy about his breed and how much she adores them. What a relief! From the moment we arrived they never disappointed and were gracious, informative, and warm. I really believe they went above and beyond both getting to know him and earning his trust by also letting him get to know them too. FINALLY a Vet that will treat my Charlie like the tender hearted, smart, sweet, fun and friend loving dog he is. Thank you so much! Charlie is my baby and it makes my heart happy as well as gives me much needed peace knowing Charlie finally has a great Vet now who we can trust will respect and appreciate him. We love our pets, who doesn't? But can you find a balance between quality of care and COST of care? I think you can, and you'll find it at Ottawa Animal Hospital. We've use both the East and West locations for about 7 years now. In both locations, we never fail to get high-quality, well-informed care and I've noticed a curious lack of pressure to grab on to the latest rage in supplements, diets, vitamins. They will offer you what might be of interest but they will not brow-beat you into buying from them. They will just be there the next time you need them. For good stuff (yay Fear-Free care!) and bad stuff (that freaking Rainbow Bridge comes for everyone sooner or later). Great care, reasonable prices. I can live with it!

Everyone at Ottawa Animal Hospital has a passion for all animals. They have been so caring, patient and kind with my 8 year old Golden Retriever Guinness. Special thanks to Dr. Bergstrom. She literally saved Guinness's life after he was diagnosed with a severe spinal infection. For months Guinness couldn't walk and was in extreme pain. Through Dr. Bergstrom's care, he is walking on his own and has his goofy smile back. My wife and I love all of you folks at OAH!!

Awesome staff. We love Dr. Turner and staff. Can tell they care for the animals. Let's you know what is needed for your pet and works with you on getting it done no pressuring you too get it done right away. Would highly recommend them to pet owners. ????????????

Excellent caring people- good prices

My cat, Kurobai, got sick recently and this hospital took us in right away and took very good care of us. Kurobai is now back to his same old self, thanks for Dr. Zimmerman and Dr. Turner!

They show great care toward pets. Staff is friendly and professional. We had a moody beagle who is very suspicious of vets and they always worked with us to make him feel comfortable. Definitely recommend

I have a twenty + year old cat and I'm newly moved to the area. I took her in as she was in dire need of medical help. She'd not been to a vet very often and I was really impressed with how gentle and thoughtful the entire staff was. In addition, I'd like to mention that I ordered special food upon their recommendation and picked up the food at their 120th Ave location. They, too, we're very friendly and helpful.

Everybody at both locations are so nice and not just to me! They treat my two dogs like they're part of the family❤️

Took lucky lady in on Tuesday ;she had been sick since early Saturday when I got her there they checked her over and gave her medicine . She is doing better. The vet that seen her was was very kind and treated her with kindness and was gentle with her.I would recommend them to anyone they are super good .I like the quality of their ability of treatment for your pet they know how important your pet is to you and your family.

Care was fantastic. Saved my dog life...There are a few other issues I wasnt thrilled with...

I am a proud Pitbull owner! Most people see my baby and are fearful of him, therefore he senses and reacts. When I brought him in the other day, there was a sign in the room stating that they don't discriminate against breeds. The gentleman that helped me with my boy "Storm", he owned my dog he didn't just take care of him, Storm was very proud of the way they handle him! We was in and out,very quick! Great job!
