Friendly, knowledgable staff! They took great care of our dog.

We were not happy at all. First waiting 4 hours for service was bad enough. When the Vet talked to my mother about our cat, my mom stressed that our cat will not allow us to give her a pill in her mouth. The vet on her own force my poor mother to take the pill instead of giving our cat a shot. It has been now 5 days and our cat will not take the pill. What a waste of $270 for nothing. Now we have to go to our real vet at White Lake Veterinary to get our cat a shot. In the mean time our cat got worst by going to Highland Veterinary Hospital, I would not recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Completely unprofessional, get all your billing info quick, then have you sit for 45 minutes without doing a thing... So if you don't value your time or your dog's stress, this is the place for you...Never even saw the vet, left after spending an hour and 10 minutes there, I don't wait that long for my doctor...

I can't say enough positive things about this place. Their staff are all fantastic! The doctors are great. Everyone is very caring and have great repore with the animals and their family. Dr Groehn went above and beyond to help me and my dog when she got deathly ill. I was unable to get her into an emergency hospital the entire weekend. Dr Groehn got her in on Monday and began treatment. Had it not been for her my dog may have died. My dog loves this place and can't wait to go inside when we get there. I trust my dog's opinion of people and she loves everyone there. 5 stars from my Rylee and my Bailey too.

After trying just about every vet in Livingston County, we are thrilled to finally find a place we love, with people who genuinely love our pets. Prices are fair and service is impeccable!

For the last 29 years my family and I have used Highland Vet. However, not anymore. I have had my puppy for about 7 months and we have taken him to the vet, more than a handful of times (yes, more than a handful in only 7 months). We expressed concerns with our puppy when we first took him in, frequent diarrhea and vomiting. They asked us to bring in a stool sample, which we did. For weeks our puppy was sick with no suggestions, or even a follow up phone call from the vet. We ended up having to call for the results. (which were fine). However, his symptoms started to become more frequent, so, again we called, and again, were told to bring in a stool sample and AGAIN had to call for results, which AGAIN were fine, but still no suggestions. We got the classic line "If he is not feeling better in a couple days call back." Well a couple days go by and we call for an appt. and there was nothing available for over 3 weeks, and still, no suggestions, and again the classic "if the issue doesn't get better in the next couple days to call back." NO!!!! my poor puppy has been sick for nearly 7 months now, 2 of which has been non stop vomiting. Not only that, this place is way over priced. For 7 months my puppy wasn't even worth a phone call to be checked on, the vet did not make a SINGLE suggestion on how to get rid of symptoms. Like I stated earlier, we WILL NOT be going to this veterinarian hospital ever again.

Highly recommend. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They took the time to explain each step and procedure in detailed. They were supportive when it came time to make difficult discussions including cost.

Great vets / customer service!

We originally started going here because it's close. After having both of our cats seen by them, we immediately fell in love with the staff. Everyone here is beyond nice and caring and has done so much for us and our pets. We recently had a scary moment happen where one of our beloved cats fell ill suddenly with severe anemia. Although she couldn't be treated here, Dr. Meyers was able to locate a place that would and got us in there immediately. They're very resourceful here and if there's any major issues they're not equipped for, they'll definitely make sure you're taken care of. We owe the entire staff here many thanks for helping our cat survive and for their continued support with her regular checkups and our other cat's check ups. I highly recommend this place for both quality of care and convenience. They also have a very solid system for getting pet's medications as well. They've been a huge help with getting us some stuff that's special order and got it to us in a very timely matter. Me my wife and my whole family love this place and we cannot stress this enough. I'd give this place 10 stars easily in Google if I could.

Even with not being able to go in with my precious cat Binx, the vet was very attentive and listened to what my concerns were and took the upmost care of him! Love this place!

Called the vet this morning to look for a new place for our puppy and our two older dogs as well as our rabbit. Unfortunately the front desk staff had no time on the calendar for 2 weeks for a quick 3rd puppy shot which is great that they’re busy. However the girl that answered didn’t even care we’d be a brand new client and when we mentioned we will explore another vet down the road, she said “fine”. We double checked there is nothing they can do and she just acted like they’re too busy to care about new business!

They really seem to actually care about your animals. I have 2 7month old kittens and the staff seem to really love them. Although the pricing is a bit on the expensive side I believe you get good quality service with the price!

Highland Veterinary Hospital is absolutely one of the finest facilities to get skilled, caring, economic care for your pet. Over many years before they were in existence we used other Vets in the area and never had the fine care and attention that we have had from Dr.Berg and staff. Animals are handled with a caring touch and voice helping to put them at ease. Being of an age that 'funds' are limited their costs are within a range that makes the care needed affordable. We always recommend anyone we meet that might have a need for a Vet to use "HIGHLAND VETERINARY HOSPITAL" because we're sure they will be happy with their service.

I've never been here, but Google will not insisting that I have been. I'm sure that the folks at this clinic are a top-notch organization. Please now Google, leave me alone.

I love this place. Probably the kindest and most caring place that you could possibly want for a vet. I couldn’t imagine better service or treatment for my Dog.

They take wonderful care of my dog and have conversations about everything they're doing so there are no surprises! (And no surprise charges either!!) They talk to you like you're human and actually listen. I love this place and so does my dog!

Great staff and very knowledgeable doctors

I want to take a moment and sincerely thank Highland Vet along with highly recommend them. Over the past few years, I have been trying out different vets in the area and always felt like a customer and not a community. In the past 3 months, my dog was not doing well and we finally came across Highland vet. Over these past months, Highland vet saw my dog only twice. After the first visit, they sent a handwritten card to me thanking me and my dog for coming on in. Sadly, my dog has passed away due to cancer. After Highland Vet found out they sent another handwritten note with messages from ALL the staff members. In the past 15+ years of visiting different vets, I never received a handwritten note. This veterinarian clinic cares about your pets and they care about you. As silly as this may sound, this clinic made my family feel part of theirs. As I mentioned above, I HIGHLY recommend this clinic to anyone.

These folks are amazing. They are so good with my senior ladies, both as veterinary services and with boarding. Very lucky to have them close to home.

I have been taking my 3 dogs to Highland Veterinary Hospital for 2 years now and every time we call and show up for appointments the staff, vet techs and doctors are phenomenal!! Definitely a HOME TOWN feel which is what I like, as my dogs are my family! Kathleen the new office manager was excellent with follow up on my dogs medication yesterday and pick up today was fast and easy! They do everything to keep their staff, clients and animals safe!! Thank you!!

I’ve been a client since 2009. Today the staff is more like extended family!!!! They always treat my animals just like their own. Dr. Berg and Dr. G are truly great. They explain in detail anytime there have been issues with my animals.

They are very kind and have your pets wellbeing at heart. During Covid I waited in my car while they took my fluffy baby. The vet called and talked to me at length about his issue as well as a dietary concern. She knows a lot about chinchillas and took the time to really look at everything. Unfortunately my little guy didn't make it to his next appointment, he took a sharp turn. They saw him right away and did everything they could but he was too far gone. I appreciate every single person there for the kind words and heart shaped momento. I'm stricken with grief but I'm comforted to know he passed in the hands of people who cared about him. If your looking for a chinchilla vet, look no further, they will take good care of you. That said, I wish they operated on my pet the day I brought him in. I'm not sure that's fair, but it's why they get 4 stars.
