Briarwood Veterinary Hospital Grand Blanc, Michigan

First of all I have to say I really like this vet, I do, but if your an actual established client they never have appointments! Every single time I call they say they have ZERO openings and I can do the call in option. You call starting at 8am and “hope” to get an opening for that day. I’ve tried this “process” and it NEVER WORKS! I start calling at 7:59 and can’t get through, no one answers and by 8:01/02/03 they’re all GONE! When your dog is sick, blood in stool and diarrhea, they show no care and say that’s the way it is. I don’t want to have to look for another vet, but if I don’t get an appointment tomorrow when I try I swear I will drop them like no other!

Dog woke up with pink eye on a Saturday. Called and was given an appointment same day! Quick, easy, thorough. Saved us a trip to the ER. Very impressed.

I have been coming to Briarwood for about 8 years, Dr Amy and Dr Joe are very good with my cats and love them like they were their own, the staff is great too, and if I need an emergency, I call at 8:00 in the morning when they open and they always get me an appointment during the day.... Dr Joe is also really good when you have an emergency on a weekend, I had to send two of my cats to the rainbow bridge on a Sunday, and he met me at the office

Called in the evening to see if they had any appointments for my dog the next day. I just moved into the area. They said that they were booked with new patients for the next few weeks but that I could call back at 8am & try to get one of their sick/urgent appointments for the next day or the following day. When I called back right at 8am, the lady I spoke with told me that the sick/urgent appointments were not used for new patients, which contradicted what I was told the night before. Please train your staff and make sure they are all on the same page. No I’m am stuck trying to find an appointment for my pup who is going through very bad allergies and I just moved into the area. Thanks for nothing. Will not be going here I’m even if I could get an appointment. Staff doesn’t seem to be on the same page or working together.

We started going to Briarwood after getting a puppy and seeing a decline in service from our former Vet with our cats. We have been sooooo happy with Briarwood. Dr Joe has called after hours to answer questions or provide feedback on our dog. He listened to the concerns we had and worked with us to come up with a food that worked without breaking the bank. Our dog runs to the door so he is definitely not scared and that is important.

Dr. Joe is an outstanding vet! Although visits may not always be easy for our dogs depending on the day, Dr. Joe has always been patient, and very understanding. Dr. Amy has also been outstanding when we see her and she is very kind, and friendly. Both vets are knowledgeable and practice the latest and greatest, often providing current research to support their recommendations. Everyone from the receptionists, to the techs have been great and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. We highly recommend Briarwood!

Compassionate, friendly, and knowledgeable. Literally the best Veterinarian I have ever dealt with. When you love your fur babies as strongly as I do, you want nothing but the best for them, especially when it comes to their health. Having a place like Briarwood gives me such a peace of mind, because I know it's the best possible care I can give them. Unlike many Veterinarian's who seem to be more concerned with their financial gain and getting you out of their office then the actual welfare of the animal, Briarwood is a welcoming breath of fresh air. They are patient and sincere, and remind you of why they are in that business in the first place.

We are new in the area and I called and tried setting up an apt for our new kitten and the lady that answered the phone straight up told me she doesn’t have any availability for another 3 weeks and to find another vet. Wow! Will definitely not recommend this vet! Didn’t even try to help me.i won’t even give it one star if I could.

Very organized and thoughtful place to go. They make sure your pet is up to date on all shots, some you may not need and they explain it. They have all the medications on hand. They are about quality over quantity with their pet patients. The docs are very intelligent and know their job quite well along with the rest of the staff. We have trusted our pets with Briarwood Veterinary Hospital and will continue to take our dog to get all the needed check ups.

Dr. Joe and his entire staff are AMAZING!!! They take their time with you and are willing to go above and beyond for you and your pet! It's not all about the money with them, they truly care and it shows! So blessed to be a client!!

I've been taking my pets to Briarwood for 20 years. Drs. Joe & Amy are awesome & extremely personable knowledged professionals. Many staff members have worked there longer than I've been a client. That should show what a great place it is to any possible future clients.

WAY overpriced. Took our dog there and found out she had an ear infection. They nickle and dime you for everything and weren't up front with the extra cost of everything they were doing. We ended up paying $400 for the visit. Self pay health Care on my kids is cheaper. Will not be going back.

We have been with Dr. Joe since he opened his practice. He is the best veterinarian in the business. When my mom rescued a toy poodle about 10 years ago, I insisted that Briarwood would be where her furbaby would be going. He is very caring. You can tell he really loves what he is doing. He is so great with all our pets!

Dr Joe was amazing and so caring as well as the rest of the staff we came into contact with. It was our first time there and we had to put our poor old guy down we felt so relaxed and comfortable with this group of people we had just met. We will definitely be going back when caring for our other animals.
