Excellent staff that are friendly and take good care of our pets without trying to sell us services or give bad advice. I recommend this animal clinic to anyone.

We brought our dog and two cats to Dr. Haskins for years and thought the service was great for routine care. But when our dog needed care for kidney failure and one of our cats needed oral surgery, we had very bad experiences with both her and her staff. The issues are too extensive to list here, but it adds up to inadequate care for our pets and a serious lack of follow up and professionalism for us. In addition, we sent a detailed letter of complaint on 8/12/21 and as of 8/29, we have received no response from her or anyone in her office. I see all of the positive reviews, so maybe this is an exception. It is nonetheless unacceptable. We actually weren’t even fully aware how bad it was until we switched to a new vet clinic, where the care, communication and follow up have been significantly better from the first visit on. I have a feeling this review will be dismissed in a response. If so, so be it. But please know that this is an honest, factual review intended to help people in the process of looking for a place --and people-- to trust their pets lives and care with when it’s most needed. For that, based on our overall experience at Standale Veterinary Hospital, we seriously recommend that you look elsewhere.

This office is great. The doctor is an amazing human. The techs are so pleasant and helpful. They don't try to sell you on things you don't need. Love it.

Great service, reasonable prices and willing to work with my extra feisty cat who has mats and doesn't tolerate a groomer without a blood bath! Found my new vet ???? Update Dr Haskins called the day after my kitty was groomed to check in to see how my furgirl is doing. Stellar service and highly recommend this place!!!

They do not care about your animals just the money they bring my 4 month old puppy got bitten by a dog had 6 Puncture wounds all around his eyes gushing blood called the vet we live 45 minutes away they said the vet is leaving at 4 pm its was 330 at this time my wife left right away got stuck in traffic called the vet said we where almost there the vet said she's leaving at 4 no matter what and there no one else there to look at your dog been going there for eight years had 2 litter of puppies go through there now also short story is that iam looking for a new vet Changing reviews due to the Dr reaching out to send use our credit and our animals records.

Dr. Haskins and her staff are always so knowledgeable and compassionate. Today's visit was for an emergency, and they were able to get us in quickly and get us the medication to make our Amber better.

We have taken our rescue dog here since the first day we adopted her and could not be more impressed with the care she has received over the last 5 years! She wasn’t in great health when we first adopted her and became a frequent flier here over the first couple years (Conjunctivitis, Mange, fecal worms, “look mom, I killed a raccoon!”, recurrent UTIs, Urinary leaking, “surprise! I’m actually not spayed!”, anxiety, food intolerance—you name it!). We simply cannot say enough great things about this office! The front desk and assistive staff know us by name and are always polite and proficient! Medications and test results are ready in a timely manner! Prices are fair. And of course, Dr. Haskins is an incredible vet! She has helped us navigate several different kinds of health concerns in a confident and efficient manner. Dr. Haskins is easy to talk to, a genuinely kind and patient person, and what I think is most remarkable is her commitment to educating pet owners. I always leave here confident in the treatment plan set out for my pet and knowing that my pet’s health is safe in her hands.

Dr. Haskins and her staff are the best! We have been clients for five years and are always happy with our visits. They are honest and caring. Very reasonably price as well. If one of our pets is sick, they always call the next day to check on how they are doing. Today we had an emergency with our Cavalier. I called and they got us in right away. Dr. Haskins needed to run a specific test on our pup, and they didn’t have it in stock. She called several other offices and went across town to pick up the test for us. We are so grateful for this clinic. 10/10 would recommend.

Everyone at Standale vet hospital is amazing. We have been bringing our dogs here since we moved to the west side. We now live on the north side of Rockford and still take our dog here because of the friendly compassionate and knowledgeable people. Our little dog has a terrible anxiety about anyone touching his feet, so as you can imagine clipping his nails is a major problem. The awesome vet techs always do an amazing job with him. Dr Haskins had always been great with us and our animals. She was especially helpful when we had to go through that tough and terrible time of letting go of our beloved senior dog. They were very empathetic and handled everything for use during a very tough time. Overall I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

They have impressed me each time that I have gone. They are fast, courteous, and skilled. I also love that they can provide medications in house so I don't have to drive to another spot to pick up medicine for my pet.

My cats and I love this vet! My oldest cat Ares (6 years old) always hated going to the vet, but when we started coming here he was immediately comfortable. He rubbed against the vet's legs and actually purred. Taking him to the vet is no longer a hassle. With 4 cats total, I really appreciate the fair prices and their ability to fit me in for appointments when I'm concerned about my cats' health. We absolutely love everyone in this office. They are so kind, gentle, and living to our dog, who sometimes can be too friendly as he is so large! Great staff, great service, always there to answer our questions as first time dog owners.

Dr. Haskins has always been really good about getting me in quickly with whatever issue my animals have had.

Dr Haskins and her staff are great! My puppy was limping and they didn't have time to see her the day I called but were able to give her pain meds. They are always so quick to reply to emails too.

My cat has been a patient here for over 10 years. He has a chronic condition that requires daily medication which must be ordered from out of state. There is a delay in the arrival of this med, so I requested a steroid injection to keep my cat alive while we wait for the medication. This vet refused my request because my cat is due for his annual exam. He's not overdue, just due to be scheduled and seen (AND by the way, no phone call reminder about scheduling) She just saw my cat 2 months ago for the same injection and determined then that he legitimately needed this injection to help control his symptoms. Just because it wasn't a full exam, they won't give him another 2 months later?? Unbelievable considering that they know this cat and exactly what's wrong with him and exactly what he needs to be pain free and alive. Obviously, they only care about the money from the exam and not about my cat or the fact that we've paid this vet THOUSANDS of dollars over the past 10 years. Standale recommended that we find a vet who is open on the weekend, pay the new vet to become a new patient, pay for a full exam and then get treatment, instead of simply giving him an injection that they have given him many times in the past. So now we have a new vet, Standale just lost a 10 year long client and I'll never pay this clinic another dime. We plan on getting two more cats once our beloved old kitty passes away, so they've lost all that future money too. If you are looking for a clinic that cares about your pet, look elsewhere.

I started going to Standale Vet several years ago because it was the closest place to me that treated small animals. I had bought badly bred pet store rats that were perpetually in some varying degree of respiratory sickness so we had to take the occasional trip to the vet. Dr. Haskins always treated my rats with the same respect and care I'm sure she gives to every other kind of pet. My rat boys died (boo short life spans) but fate later thrust a cat on me. The cat had been intermittently feral before I got him so he thrives best as an indoor/outdoor guy. He's tough and smart but he still comes home with the occasional ouchie. So we go to Dr. Haskins at Standale Vet. And she's great with him too. Actually the reason I'm writing this is because my cat has something weird with his third eyelids right now but as soon as I made the vet appointment I was able to relax knowing he would soon be in good hands. I appreciate having one less thing to worry about. I used to worry about the money part about the vet but they've never suggested any tests or treatments that I felt were unnecessary. On top of everything, the staff are always super nice and I've always been able to get fairly prompt appointments. No one wants to have to go to the vet but they've always made it a pretty good experience regardless.
