My family has been taking our pets here since I was little (I'm 25 now) and they use to be fantastic! Now though, since a few wonderful vets left, they went down hill. I recently took my cat in, one my boyfriend and I rescued from outside, and I'm not happy. She got a full exam, and they said everything was fine! Well, turns out it wasn't. A few weeks later, my boyfriend and I both noticed that she was having us scratch inside her ear. Then wax started dripping out. Alarmed, I went to make an appointment, but they where booked 3 weeks out. I took her to another vet, and there we were told she had a severe infection that was more then likely there the last time she went to the vet. I'm very upset. I will never be returning and won't recommend this vet clinic.

This Vet is very misleading and taking advantage of clients by making them pay more for services that are not needed. I asked for 1dose of Heartguard while I wait for my 6 month supply to be delivered and they said they will not give me the dose because she needed an exam. I have my record and she got the exam, Rabies, and first dose of Heartguard less than 2 months ago. They proceeded to lie and say “that must have been from another vet because it wasn’t here” When I have the proof in my hands ???? Also, they tried to tell me my puppy needed a blood test to get spayed(blood tests are typically required for dogs older than 6 or 7) They also said that she will need to take home prescription meds BEFORE the procedure. They told me my dog needed Trazodone before getting spayed. ???????????? That is a joke, that is used for dogs with behavioral problems. Stop trying to make people pay more than what they need to. I previously worked with dogs and animals for 6 years at shelters, kennels, vet offices. I saw good reviews for this vet when I moved here and I am greatly disappointed.

Takes good care of our dogs and our horses..Very kind and helpful staff..Woludn't go anywhere else.

I've been taking my pets here for 20+ years. My Mom takes her pet(s) Kern, and many of my family & friends do also. They had come out to our house to tended to our horses over the years. We take our dogs, cats and guinea pigs there. We've taken a few hurt animals, like a bunny with a broken leg, their way. We've also had to have them put a few animals down, some at the clinic, others they come to our house.. They're very friendly, caring, out going, animal loving people. They have good prices on mostly everything, and will show you a break down before services are done. (If cost is issue they have options.) I might have 10 closer Vets, but I'll still make the drive just because they make you feel like family. Thank you Everyone at Kern road vet, for all you do!

They have taken care of my dogs since I was a little girl! They always do such a superb job and keep me on top of my game to make sure my pets are at their ultimate best I love them and even when I'm away the Associates are always there to answer any questions and give the best advice they also work with others in communication to ensure everything is going well with your pet

If you want the best care for your equine, this is the place to call. They have taken care of my horses and donkeys from birth to euthanasia since the early 1990s. Such compassion and caring!

The most caring and compassionate Drs and staff there is. No matter what you have to go through with your fur babies, they will love them like you do. I would recommend them to everyone. They are the best in the business

On April 19th 2021 we called early in the morning because we inadvertently ran out of the prescription pain reliever over the weekend. I called first thing in the morning and needed it really quickly because we had no way to get it later on. I had to bypass the prescription call line. And the lady that answered the phone was very kind and able to get it ordered for us and we were able to pick it up within an hour of the time we called. We went against all the called for considerations and appreciate the fact that they were able to help us.

I took my friend here who had a very sick old dog.. Her best friend.. She knew she would be putting him down.. Kern Rd. Vet was so caring and consoling they made a very sad situation so much easier for her.. Thank you kern Rd. Clinic. ..

I took my English bulldog there to see if they could to the surgery on her Cleft Palate. When I called to make the appointment I asked if they did that they said yes. They came and got my dog. The vet called me and told me that I needed to contact a speciality surgeon immediately and that the surgery was going to cost over $3000 dollars. She then proceeded to tell me that my puppy had a 50/50 chance of survival. Then she told me that her head didn’t develop right and that she will have problems later. My puppy was all ready checked out by another vet and he said she had a perfect Bill of Health. I will never go there again. I will always go to Dansville Vet Clinic I have always had good experiences from them .

They were compassionate and so helpful when I had to put my boy Shotzy to sleep. Such a sad time for me but they gave me time to say goodbye. It was not rushed.

Last week my mom took her 11 month old bloodhound to Kern Vet after he had been lethargic for about a week. After X-rays the vet determined there was a blockage in his intestine. They continued to say that surgery was the only option and if she took him home that night he would likely die. The estimated cost for surgery was between $1,500-$2,300. Feeling as there was no other choice my mom proceeded forward with the surgery. During surgery the vet determined that it was not a blockage and instead a gas bubble and he was just dehydrated. This was deemed “exploratory surgery” and she was charged the maximum amount of $2,300 for a completely unnecessary surgery. I would NEVER recommend this vet to anyone- they used scare tactics to push surgery and they misdiagnosed dehydration and a gas bubble for a complete blockage. Please think twice or get a second opinion when using Kern Road Vet in Fowlerville!

We recently had to put our sweet little girl, Lady, to sleep. Dr. Howard and the entire staff at Kern Road Vet. were very understanding & compassionate toward us. We were able to be with our dog for her final goodbye even in these tough times thanks to their efforts to still maintain distance. That meant so much to us! We have another dog we will continue to bring to Kern. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else! Love you guys!

The BEST care for your animals.

I got the worse care there. I have never been treated so badly. I was told that it was not their job to educate me on giving my dog puppy food while being pregnant up until she is done nursing. I had her at the Vet before she had her puppies. It was just what she said but the tone and the attitude she had while saying that. And then asked us rudely why we were there. We took our dog there to make sure she was ok after having her puppies. They won't give you type of Advice they are only there for the Medical Part for your animals is what she said. I walked out saying I was going to find a different Vet and she was like ok. And walked out of the room with an attitude. I will never go back because of the disrespect and the rudeness of that Vet Tech
