Dr. John M is beyond amazing. I can't recommend him enough. On multiple occasions he has truly been life saving. After coming from a vet where they barely knew my animal, it really feels great the way John provides the one on one attention and care for the animals. On numerous occasions, after hours, when no other vet was available, including the local ER, John answered his phone, meeting me at his office and caring for my animal when I was truly panicking. I trust this office and know I can count on them answering when in need.

Just want to say best place around very affordable help me out in the time of need when nobody else could due to covid and lack of workers so I just want to say thanks again for all the help making my cat comfortable going over the bridge

Amazing clinic. Dr Miskena and his team truly go above and beyond to look after their patients. Honest, straight-forward, compassionate, and so incredibly helpful. I wouldn't know what to do without them!

Dr. Miskena is a fantastic vet who truly cares about animals. He has made himself available after hours for phone calls and impromptu visits on a few occasions for our kitten during very scary times. This kind of personalized care is so extremely rare to come by. Thank you so much Dr. Miskena for helping us with our baby Marli.

I LOVE this place from the Dr to the staff clean place, fast service, great prices for things, and the doc is so good at explaining things staff is super helpful and nice glad I found this place I take all my cats here.

My puppy swallowed a decent size piece of a plastic toy, and as new pet owner I was terrified if a bowel obstruction. The team here squeezed us in right away and took such good care of my little guy, and was very reassuring to me as I panicked. He’s doing much better now and is resting. Thank you to the entire team who helped out!

Great clinic! Dr. John Miskena was legitimately compassionate and caring about my dog! Took his time, was thorough and made sure she was comfortable calm and well taken care of. The support staff was equally compassionate and showed a genuine love for animals and my dog in particular. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic after having gone through a few that were extremely expensive and trying to push expensive treatments and would not return phone calls and messages! Great job guys! Glad to finally have a permanent vet for my animals! Thank you again!!

Place is a little small but it's the only veterinarian out of 25 that I called that would see my dog without a 3 month wait and the doctor and nurse where very friendly and helpful.

Dr. Miskena is absolutely wonderful. My cat had unexplained weight loss, Dr. Miskena was very thorough and explained all the things that could be going on (thyroid, malabsorption, cancer, kidney disease, etc), how likely each of these were and how to test for them. He was very clear with the cost before coming up with a plan and even advised against some higher ticket tests for less likely causes, which I appreciated. In the end, he diagnosed my cat with IBD and he is now on a special diet (doesn’t need medication) and doing excellent! I am convinced he saved my cat’s life and will be forever grateful.

I took my puppie in there when she was sick. Dr. John was upfront with me about everything. The staff was excellent and very understand. Everyone went out of there way for my puppie and my family when she passed. The compassion they had for us, we weren't just another pet. I will continue to take the rest of my pets there. So well the rest of my family. Great place and highly recommended.

I have been fostering cats and working with cat shelters for the past 4 years and I came here with a friend who unfortunately had to put his elderly kitty down. I was really impressed with the care and tenderness the veterinarian exhibited with my friend and his beloved cat. Thinking of how many pets and owners the vet has had to do this with and to be so heartfelt time and time again really struck me. I made sure I brought my kitties in for a visit and ended up getting an appointment with his son (who is also a veterinarian) and he was just like his father; professional, caring and spent a lot of time with my cats. He went above and beyond and didn’t pressure me with unnecessary tests or exams. I was extremely happy with the service. Veterinarian hospitals are taking a huge hit right now because of the surge in pets people acquired over the pandemic. In addition, many veterinarians have retired which has turned these establishments much busier than before. I would definitely take this into account when going to any animal clinic and I highly recommend you come here. Especially, if you really love your pets. I have no intentions of taking my babies anywhere but here.

My dog has surgery on July 9thUpon picking her up Her incision was so long I had so many questions finally talked with John. But.. 3 days later i called back talked with CINDY (v-rude) ask her who preformed my dogs surgery Cindy said she didnt know on my paperwork it said Rachel Mccaughan. "We do that for OUR paperwork". I still waiting on Rachel Mccaughan to call been 7 days and still waiting

The staff is thorough and kind and prices are fair.

This place is great. They are so patience with my dog. And they have good prices.

Very accommodating. Scheduled my foster dog in, to get checked for an issue near her tail. Looked like mange, but ended up being an irritation from a flea bite. Gave her some antibiotics and a medicated shampoo. Two days later, a cough started, seems the foster picked up the canine flu. Clinic and vet were very helpful and worked her in with no issues to another packed day, to make sure it wasn't kennel cough. Very much recommend this location and the other locations.

You can't go into the building with your pet due to their covid policy (even if masked and vaxxed as of 6/2/21). Our puppy gets anxious when separated from us, so it would have been nice to know this ahead of time.

The staff here are amazing!! My puppy didn't want to leave. Thank you all for all that you do at West Woodward!!

Dr. John Miskena is a wonderful human being. He is very passionate and attentive to my dogs whenever we come to West Woodward Animal Clinic. The staff is always friendly and it comes across that they all are true animal lovers! My dogs receive nothing but the best treatment and care at West Woodward Animal Clinic! I would recommend them highly to anyone who is in need of a veterinarian care, they make us feel like family whenever we come to visit! They are always there to help with your four-legged family members :)

Been going here for years. Quite simply they care about your animals and treat them as if they were family.

If I could, I would give Dr. John Miskena more than 5 stars! My cat developed a chronic bladder condition and Dr. Miskena has taken wonderful care of her. The office gets us in asap, he listens attentively to my concerns, consistently follows up when he says he will, even after hours, and its easy to see how much compassion he has for my cat and me as her worried owner! He goes above and beyond. My cat is my baby and I totally trust him with her. His suggestions for care and treatment have made a difference for her already and the prices are reasonable. Im so glad I found his office, I won't take my cat anywhere else!

Our 2yo cat got suddenly very ill. We took her to Blue Pearl, as well as our local vet, over the course of two weeks. She wasn’t improving quickly and then she declined fast. We got no real answers at either appointment. She was vomiting up her medicine and hadn’t eaten in three days and had lost significant weight over the previous two weeks We were prepared for the worst. Then I took her to West Woodward. They treated her dehydration and nausea and Dr John Miskena came out to the parking lot and discussed her situation with me for a while. He’d changed some of the medications she’d been prescribed. IT WORKED! We were so frustrated at this point after three vets in 3 weeks. We’re so grateful to Dr Miskena for listening and offering what he could. It’s been two weeks and Petra is back to her crazy self! Will likely be bringing all three of our furbabies here from now on!

Dr.John is amazing and so compassionate towards you and your furry babies!! He has helped us out BIG TIME 2X when NO other vet would even consider seeing us. 1st was in the mid of the pandemic (last June) our dog Sadie she became very ill her leg swelled 3x the size, We were freaking out and I had never been to this vet before. I called every vet n they all could not get me In!! Dr.John squeezed me in and unfortunately we had to say our goodbyes to our Sadie ???? Now our cat has became I'll not eating or drinking, I called Dr. John n he cannot see my baby until Monday,However prescribed him some antibiotics n now he is at least eating n drinking a little.???????? By far hands down best vet and reasonable prices. We will never go anywhere else. Thank you from the bottom of our heart Dr.John n staff.

The receptionist is by far the rudest person you will speak with. I started going to this place a few years ago but not anymore. Me and my dog will be going to greenfield animal hospital instead! The doctor is completely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend going to this place for anything serious because they will ruin the procedure and blame you.

This is the only place we will take our animals. The staff is kind and amazing. Anytime we call we get quick appointments and service. They went above and beyond for us when our sweet pup had an emergency issue. Highly recommend!!!!

I took my dog there to get neurted, he was crying the whole day after the procedure. A day later he died! Be careful at this place. My dog was a healthy 1 yr old yorkie. They gave me no explanation as to what happened.
