Puppy Love Socialization Center & Spa Ferndale, Michigan

I have been taking my dogs to Puppy Love for about 3 years now and they love it, and so do I. The owner has a heart of gold and takes great care of every dog. Sometimes her heart is too big and she tries to help everyone, even people that trash talk her on social media on behalf of former employees or clients that are jerks coming in at the last minute and demanding services. I have been in the lobby and seen it in person. Some of you "owners" don't deserve to have pets. As for that post about scabs that someone claimed were bites, well scabs do not grow on a wound in a few hours so you need to take your dog to the vet because there is something else going on, not bites... And for the claim about not announcing Kennel Cough you're just plain wrong. Unlike another "canine" daycare around the block with whom I have personally had a negative experience, she waited until her clients called to complained before she announced. Ms. Wright has always been up front and honest about KC. I will always take my dogs to Puppy Love.

My baby LOVES coming here! She has a great time, and is tuckered out when i pick her up. On days Dot doesn’t visit, she will try and sit next to the car; she wants to come to puppy love! Everyone is very nice and they love the dogs ❤️

I won't be bringing my dog back. Today was his last day the owner came up to me today she was rude as any person could be. She said "he ripped her 200$ pants before and didn't charge me for them" "I've been watching his nails for you because he cuts me" you work at a doggie day care dogs jump well there playing its apart of the job.

The lady who runs this needs revaluation on her business or herself..Dogs were catching kennel cough and she wasn’t going to inform us prior to dropping my dog off or after pick up. I then called to confront her after another dog owner informed me her dog was sick as well- and she tried to down play the situation when I have a senior dog at home with seizures and health issues- who then also got extremely sick. They also clipped my dogs nails without permission or prior phone call when she has a groomer and a groomer apt the next day- then I seen her yell at an employee (there are only two employees who I like at this facility and who seem to care about my dog and the rest - and that’s who she was yelling at. (My vet bill was over 409 for both dogs due to my one dogs health issue which she then claimed was impossible so I asked if she wanted proof” she stated that she made changes… and nothing else …never apologize for anything. Done with toxicity and going back to down the road.

There are pluses and minuses here - Pros: Variety of services for grooming and boarding available Pretty easy scheduling, I've never been turned down whether it was for day care or for boarding. This is key since I have an unpredictable schedule and some of the other options around are very hard to schedule time with. Cons: After my dog's last stay, she came home covered in tiny scabs that I'm pretty sure were from bites (potentially play that got too rough? none of them looked like a bite from an attack, just small punctures) Another time she came home with pinkeye - it's super contagious so I can't fault them for it. No one seemed to really take the time to ask me anything about my dog - I filled out a few questions online, but when I got there I figured we would have a look around and talk about the dog but instead they just took her and sent me out in under 3 minutes.

I Had not gone to the facility yet but was trying to get my dogs boarded for an upcoming weekend. So I called to find out if space was available for booking the weekend in question. The woman who answered the phone told me yes, they did indeed have open kennels, and that I would need to register my dogs, photos, and vet/shots info through the website. So we hung up and I registered, took my a while to do this. Yesterday I received a call back telling me that they had no space available after all ( mind you, I already booked my trip out of town). I said this was strange news, as the person from the other day had directed me to complete the online registration and booking for my two dogs. She then replied that I was not telling the truth (?) because she is the only person who handles the phone and would not have told me the information that was told to me. She also said that my dogs and me "are not a good fit" for the facility and I made her "uncomfortable". She then hung up on me. She is right, we certainly are not a good fit. I will take that advice and not do business here in the future.

We can’t say enough excellent things about the whole team at Puppy Love. Our dog loves going there for daycare, boarding, and grooming. We feel confident in their expertise and care with him. They always accommodate our specific needs - even last minute! They truly treat their clients like family, and we are so grateful to have them in this community. Thank you Puppy Love!!

George has gone so long he loves going to puppy Luv spa!. He walks in and out like home. They are friendly and attendeful to George's needs.

Our girl Maggie absolutely LOVES going to daycare! The staff takes such great care of her and even works with us when we have long travel days and busy schedules. They are amazing and she always comes home happy and exhausted :)

Best daycare in the area. Would definitely recommend for grooming as well. My dog Colton is 80lbs and hates getting his nails done, it was such a relief to find Leslie and everyone here. As someone who has worked in daycares, I am especially picky, and it has been amazing to have a place I can trust to take care of my pup.

Quarantine has been tough on my dog's socialization so I was a little nervous to drop him off. The staff was amazing. I have been smiling all day knowing my dog was taken care of with love. Thank you!

I love Puppy Love so much! The owners and staff take the best care of your dog. They'll help your dog socialize and get better at being with other dogs, and I would so prefer to bring my beautiful dog to puppy love than have her alone all day at home. I can also travel for work and feel completely comfortable that she is loved by others while I am gone. The facility is beautiful, there are plenty of comfy spots for your dogs to rest and play, and it is a pleasure to go in there for drop off and pickup. It's not just a big, overly lit room where the dogs stand around all day. They put a lot of thought into the soothing lights, beds, nooks and crannies, scents, and sounds to keep the dogs as happy and comfortable as possible. There is no other place I would have my dog groomed either, because of the care and love they put into grooming. For me there is no better place to leave my floofy friend!

I love this place! Great environment, clean and welcoming to our big Rottie. He was worn out! Can't wait to bring him back.

My dog MJ loves going to Puppy Love. All the staff are excellent especially, Alyssa,Olivia, Wendy and owners Leslie and Stacy. They truly care about my dog. They are the only place I have ever boarded a dog because I trust them to take care of MJ like their own dogs.

Our dog Frankie loves it there! Would highly recommend to anyone in need of daycare or boarding. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I visited all the best rated and most recomended dog day care facilities in the area. We saw alot of things that turned us away from other dog day care facilities. When we walked into puppy love it was a night and day difference in comparison to what we had seen from other places. The first notable thing was the smell. Every other facility we walked into smelled, but not puppy love. The dogs were noticeably happier then in any other place we walked into. You could see everywhere how much more passionate everyone at puppy love was about the dog in comparison to anywhere else we went to. We are so excited to get our puppy enrolled next week. This was the perfect fit for us. Thank you to everyone at puppy love for the amazing first impression. I'm sure Loki is going to love it there

Super friendly staff who genuinely enjoy pups. They offer grooming and simply dog daycare at reasonable prices. Plus their hours are very accommodating.
