The receptionist is beyond rude and Lisa tries to belittle you with how she speaks. I ended up just walking out wouldn’t trust these people with my pet

The staff there is nice but the actual vet is a little sketchy. Had important lab work done on my dog and they told me the results would be back in 3-4 days. After a full week, tried calling them and they kept giving me the runaround saying, "The vet will call you back." Still, haven't heard back from them. I understand that they get busy & have emergencies at times but don't make us wait biting our nails and just worrying constantly about information we should have had a week ago. Just felt really "Blown off" by them. If it was something routine, sure, I get it, that it's not high on your priority list, but this was very important information we needed for our elderly dog.

We have been going to VCA for 4 years. Their prices always seemed a bit high but we had never had any big issues. Yesterday I took my dog who again they have been seeing for 4 years and after waiting in my car with my dog for 30 minutes they told me they didn't want to see my dog because I hadn't given him anxiety medicine. The last visit we had they told me this anxiety medicine would help give him some relief but never said it was mandatory to see my dog. I am not sure why they didn't tell me this when I arrived. The tech acted like my dog was going to bite them and she consulted the vet who said they would see my dog. We went inside to an exam room and waited another 45 minutes. You don't think making my dog wait caged up for an hour and 15 minutes would cause him some anxiety!?! Finally we decided to leave without being seen. They texted me an hour and 24 minutes after our appointment time to say the vet would now see us. Needless to say we will be finding a new vet with better communication and compassion. Ever since covid started VCAs wait times have increased and there has been very poor care.

For more than 10 years we have worked with VCA and Dr. Leslie Shoksnyder. (Dr. Kahan for a number of years prior) Until recently it has been a wonderful experience. She has been kind caring and incredibly supportive of our family and our dogs. Around the time the VCA hospital in Farmington Hills move to their new location, we began to see a change in the level of customer service we were receiving. As we had such a long positive experience with the hospital, we were tolerant and hopeful things would improve. In the last month we have needed to talk with Dr. Shoksnyder a couple times and have found it very difficult to have her return our calls. The most recent experience from this week was the tipping point with us. We waited 5 days and placed numerous calls asking for her to call. With each call to her office, the staff was very nice and told us she would be calling back. On Wednesday, the office manager called as she understood we were getting very frustrated with all the missed call backs. I explained to her all our communication and the commitments to having her call with no results. She had no explanation of what happened or how we would be able to connect with the Doctor via phone. She suggested she could squeeze us in for an appointment, but the Doctor is triple booked. I asked that she has the Doctor call me. A couple hours later Dr. Shoksnyder called me. That call prompted me to write this review. She was on the offensive from the minute I said hello. She accused me of doing wrong and she has been accommodating. She was arrogant and unkind. When I corrected the errors in her information, she lashed out further and deeper. I am deeply saddened to learn the organization I once held in the highest regard for care of our pets and us has been reduced to this. I have moved to a different Veterinarian.

I hope a five star review for your handling of the power situation today pays off for me and how I would like to take care of of my dog and my desired plan, working with a vet over at that facility.

I'm new to the area and had VCA before. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My roommate is older and quite strong (100 lbs). Prices are definitely higher than I'm used to and I'm using the plan.

I cried this morning scared for my 7 yr old dog. Roxy had to have a tumor removed and spay she developed pyometra. I just put her in Gods hands. I picked up my fur baby around 4pm. I was so worried, but they took wonderful care of her. Roxy's veterinarian Dr. Pesavento DMV even notice, she had a scratch eye and advised me of it. She prescribed meds as well I couldn't have asked for a great group.. Also, thanks to Lisa, brave Emily for putting on that cone and Daniel for getting me squared away.

We just had such an amazing first time experience here! We have an older dog who has been with another vet, and recently got a new puppy and were on the market for a new vet as well. This first visit far exceeded my expectations. Everyone was so friendly, informative and we didn’t feel rushed to ask any questions. They took their time, answered our questions and we even left with a bag full of information and some goodies for our new Kobe. I am so grateful we found a loving vet after years of searching.

I called to ask about puppy plans as well as cat plans for my 9 week old pup and my 2 year old cat because we are currently taking them to two different vets and since we had already started a report with vca it would be easier to move our dog over to vca But im not to sure now because the receptionist who answered the phone as we were discussing plan she continuously said well if money is an issue if money was an issue never once spoke about what i can afforded but she assumed money was an issue repeatedly saying it i dont know where she made that assumption from i guess it was after she spoke about neutering a 9 week old puppy and i told her hes a puppy so we weren’t looking to neuter him anytime soon who knows then she said well if money was an issue and i had to chose between the two i would do the puppy never said money was an issue never said that i was going to chose between the two but sure after the 5-6 time of her saying that money was an issue i did not want her to even finish i thanked her and hung up she does not know what i can afford so do not make assumptions never did i once say that i could not afford it i wanted to inquire about the plans since as we all know the pricing is not on the website along with whats included in the plan

Be very careful. Their vca careclub is a scam. I've been a member of the care club for more than 18 months. During the pandemic I decided to end the subscription, as I was paying 49.99 dollars a month for about 4 months without utilizing any of the services. To close the plan I was asked to pay the settlement fee. When asked what is the settlement fee for, they mentioned it is for all the discounts I have used due to my subscription. So I pay promptly , subscription fee on a monthly basis irrespective of if I receive any service or not; on top of that I need to payback all the discounts for which I had already paid for (through your subscription). (Remember, if you have not used any services, they will not refund you the subscription fee). However, I even agreed and paid this fee, as they mentioned it was as per the contract. The frustrating part is, that, when I asked for the receipt and itemization on how they calculated the settlement fee, the hospital manager redirected me to the vca careclub customer service. The customer care representative redirected me to the same hospital manager who had asked me to contact the customer care. Very unimpressive. I appreciate the medical staff and the services they provide, but the business organization as a whole is NOT TRUSTWORTHY. Very saddened to be writing this review after being a customer to this place for about 2 years.

Friendly service to both pets and their owners. Even during the pandemic they take precautions for all parties while keeping their standards high with good quality of service.

Poor job on my dogs operation. Getting info in what to do or expect post surgery was like pulling teeth despite their immediate pressure to get the operation. Doing subpar neutering operations must be their bread and butter. We brought him back in 3 days after the operation because of swelling and she said he was fine the swelling was normal. Lie. Took him to another vet and he's infected pretty badly. Needs more meds and a longer recovery period now. Not a good vet at least if you're looking to get your pet spayed or neutered.

Curbside pickup for my dog and phone calls thru my bluetooth in the car with the very informative and professional nurse and doctor. Just like a "real" visit and my pet was delivered back to my car happy as he always is. Thank you!

Dr.Wheat is the best of the best. The entire staff are the friendliest EVER! My dog was "not liked" at the vet that I was taking her to for years. On my first visit, Versailles was giving out kisses! MY dog???!!! Look no further

Everyone I was in contact including the front office was wonderful. This was my first visit to this office. After a lot of research I’m so glad I found a new vet home for my dogs. Heidi our vet tech was so personable, knowledgeable and kind. Dr Wheat was also very nice took her time explaining everything asking if I had any questions. I’m very happy. Thank you. They also had a great COVID plan in place. Bravo!
