The Miskena doctors have a special way of teaching us more about ourselves through the care they provide to our pets.

Not expensive at all. If you make an appointment you won't have to pay as much and you will be seen right away. I have never had to wait over 5 minutes for my baby to see the Vet.

Can get busy at times ...I have a large Dogo that really doesn't interact with others ..the vets should consider a way to separate traffic when larger dogs are present

Lots of reasons for the 5 stars. First off, I am "mom" to lots of cats. They're mostly outdoors (but not strays, they're mine) but they do get sick. I have a kitten with an upper respiratory issue. My regular vet couldn't see him for 2 weeks. The walk in vet near my home had a 7 hour wait. The emergency vet had a 3 hour wait (and costs $126 for the Dr exam). I called Northwest (first time ever) and they were able to fit us in within an hour. I told them about 2 other sick kittens and they squeezed them in for later in the day. One was so sick that he had to be put down, but the Drs and receptionist were all very compassionate. I do appreciate them and will return with my other fur babies in the future.

Quickly got my foster dog in, and they did some checkups on some stitches and gave an antibiotic to make sure she didn't get an infection.

This is my normal Vet,but I've been calling for the last month or so and even went there twice with no response no note on the door,. or answer or return call? So I'm confused as I am reading reviews of people saying they were there a month ago?? I've been calling for over a month. I had to find another vet but they are so back up they won't be able to see my dog until next month late June.

Staff was friendly and professional. For the first time, they didn't try to sell me a bunch of services or products that are not needed.

Literally saved my cats life. She was dying in my arms. Middle of a pandemic, booked to the max, got me inside within one minute of us arriving and went to work. Vet spent 4 and a half hours with us. Dedication, love and compassion. Thank you so much!

Doesnt answer phone or return calls. Not very professional on their part. Especially whenever their voicemail says they'll return your call.

I took my dog here for a skin rash and was told that it was from poison ivy. Paid 102 for a steroid shot and a antibiotic shot. I called to let them know she was not getting any better but getting worse they said it was nothing else they could do for her and said to take her some where else. So I took her to another vet and was told this is not from poison ivy which I thought it wasn’t because she’s been around it for over a year and this never happened before but anyway they put her on oral steroids, oral antibiotics, a spray, and said this could take up to four weeks to go away and that a one time shot would not help anything like this. The could of let her come back in to check over her it seems like they do a lot of guessing and wonder if they are real veterinarian’s! Waste of money!

I read some of the reviews and let me say this, I called Wednesday morning (today is Sunday) and my pup who just recently turned a year old had shown signs of parvo approximately 3days before I called but they were not 100% vivid so I thought it was just an upset stomach. Anyway, I called so many places in Michigan and no one was willing to work with me on price. Some would just flat out say well is 1500 plus to start treatment. I called another facility on 5mile and beech and she referenced Northwest. I called Northwest and explained everything. My funds my dogs symptoms, I even cried. The vet assistant said the price just to get him tested and to be seen. I had that in my bank so I said ok can I bring him in to be tested. I said if it shows he has parvo could we put him down cause I don’t have the money to pay for his hospitalization. She said ma’am let’s see what happens I can squeeze you in today at 11:15am and let’s take it one step at a time . I got there and I was seen immediately. The dr came in she was understanding she was patient she worked with my financial aspect, and she literally said this is his best shot and sent me home with instructions and meds to either keep him comfy while he passed or bring him back to life! She told me we will get through this I am here for you. After I left the vet my dog was depressed from the virus, he was not eating or drinking at all. I provided him around the clock care and made sure I followed her instructions to a T! I ran out of a few meds and I needed extra doses of some also, I went back to get those and she got my baby together. Parvo is a deadly virus that attacks the dogs digestion system causing severe dehydration and within a matter of 2/3 days your pet can be deceased! Here we are on Saturday and I was awaken to kisses from my pup, he woke me up he had so much energy he went out side he chased the birds! But then he came inside and began to get sleepy again. Now I dosed him up with the meds and fluids and let him sleep as much as he wanted and here I am on Sunday. My baby is up whining to eat jumping on me, chasing cats and birds, he is barking again and licking again! That you staff at Northwest! I will be back to get my baby and my girl dog well taken care of when he is no longer contagious. At facilities you will have negative things you observe. But the quality of care a vet provides to my fur babies matter to me! My dogs are my two children outside of my two children and I could not imagine losing them. I truly appreciate you ladies!
