Hurley Dog and Cat Hospital Detroit, Michigan

Can’t get in anymore unless willing to fight with an early morning mob. Not willing to do that. They’re good if you can get in. But won’t write Rx for needed medications to obtain elsewhere. When I did call, the information from the clinic receptionist differs from the response provided here. So, I said what I said.

I wish to thank Dr. Ravi for her gentle and caring handling of my cat. She was professional and thorough and I was especially impressed by her policy of not overmedicating. The staff were equally friendly and pleasant. I wish and pray that every animal treated by this hospital gets cured and lives a good life. Best wishes. Dr. Kala I wish to thank you again for the recent experience we had when our cat was ill with an infection. Your gentle care and thorough diagnosis and follow up is totally appreciated. Wow, so impressed with these folks. Got in quickly for my kitty’s issue and had a great experience every step of the way. Incredibly reasonable prices; this vet is truly affordable. Everyone was so helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. Special shout-out to Roger who kept my baby calm during her visit and had such wonderful energy. Every vet office should be so blessed to have someone like that on their staff. Thank you everyone at Hurley, you all are angels.

Great place! They saw my fur baby and took great care of him.

My cat was not eating for 3 days and I was so worried about her. Dr Kala accommodated me right away, and treated my cat with so much of compassion. Three years back my cat was sick and Kala revived my cat and she never got sick until again until now. Dr Kala has a magic touch with the pets. I strongly recommend the clinic for your pet since Dr Kala and her staff genuinely care for the pets, are friendly, make you and your pet feel at ease and take the time to explain clearly the reason why the pet is sick, what are the options for treatment.

They took great care of my dog and made sure I found the right doctor's to help him out in his situation. They called and checked on him everyday. I definitely would recommend them to all my family and friends.

I'm not sure about this place because since the injection they gave my cat she's been acting strange an now not eating

I have been bringing my dog Bentley to this vet for 10 years they are always kind professional and give great quality of care, if you are looking for a Dr. that’s like family for your pet definitely go here. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my fur baby.

Today was the worst day I've had while taking my pet for care at Hurleys. They have walk in only , but they don't take you as you come and sign in. I was there and signed in at 7:45 a.m, with five people ahead of me. At 11:45 a.m., I still had not been seen. They called me to bring my pet into a room, where we sat for over 30 minutes and no one every acknowledged our presence. I left without being seen and receptionist called me after I left and said I could bring my pet in to be seen, which leads me to believe the Vets had no clue I was even in the room waiting. I was very disappointed with the service not received, the waiting time and the entire protocol. I think appointments need to be made as they were prior to COVID-19, as you attempt to see so many patients and the wait time is TERRIBLE!!

Here's the deal: This place is fantastic. Do you have to wait a while (sometimes upwards of 4 hours) to get in? Yes. But the people that complain about that are also the same people that do not realize that typical vets in the area (no walk-ins) schedule out months in advance. So, considering the appointments are not made ahead of time here, 4 hours of waiting is nothing compared to a couple of months of waiting. Patience, people, that's all you need. Additionally, the pricing is incredibly fair and you can tell everyone that works there cares about their fur patients. This place is a godsend for the community allowing for walk-ins + offering fair pricing. Your pets deserve to be taken care of, and Hurley will do exactly that.

Hurleys dog and cat hospital is one of the best places to take all pets of any age...the staff is very pleasant..made me feel at home.The doctors are very informative with you about whats going on with your pet every step of the way..they truly make you and your pet feel like family..If you want good care for your animal..Hurleys is the place.

The only true walk-in clinic in Detroit metro area that will take you the day of. The vet and assistant was so patient and loving towards my bulldog and even helped me walk him out to the car because I had my 4 month old with me.

Dr. Kala Ravi is Awesome veterinarian .Wonderful Quality of care and Dr. Kala Ravi explains everything in a simple terms so we can choose suitable care for our furry baby without hurting our wallet !!!. I had to wait 6 weeks to see my long term vet for an appointment but today at Hurley they took me in and helped my baby. It is worth waiting for 4 hrs than 6 weeks. While waiting I saw rude customer but the staffs are great at handling and very polite to difficult client. I wish I could give more than 5 stars************

Coming here for 2 generations .love the service and care my pets receive. I will not go any where. I love the new female Dr. Kala. Yes things changed everywhere with pandemic so we got to go with patience. Best place in DETROIT for urgent animal care I like to say.

Ears were cropped to perfection! Definitely recommend Hurleys for cropping and any other services!! All nice friendly people and can tell they love there jobs????????

Today was my first time at Hurly Dog and Cat Hospital and it could not have been better. I saw Dr. Kala Ravi and found her bedside manner to be very friendly and easy-going. Her simple, easy-to-follow explanations gave me peace of mind. I could tell she had a lot of experience. Hurley does not take appointment, they are walk-in only. You have to show up, put your name on the list, and wait. I got there fifteen minutes before they opened and I was first on the list. In addition to Dr. Ravi there was an assistant in the room with us (he put on, and later removed, a muzzle for my dog to get his shots), and he was very good. This young man had a very soothing energy that I'm sure help to keep my dog calm. The secretary and other doctor were joking around with me as I paid and left. They take AMEX, a plus for me. If there was a sixth star, I would give it to them.

I had a great experience here, and so did my kitten. The wait can be a few hours, but it’s much better than the months you may have to wait for an appointment at another place. Expect to arrive, sign in, and go home to wait for a few hours. The staff was wonderful with my kitty, who was a stray before I got him, he was so calm with them.

I was recommended this pet hospital by a close friend. I’ve been taking my previous dog to Banfield in Troy but the cost of care was expensive. We’ve taken our new puppy the past 7 months for EVERYTHING and can say THEY ARE THE BEST. I don’t mind driving and extra 30mins from home to get the extra care from Hurley’s……. bonus that the cost is a fraction of what I was paying before!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND As another reviewer mentioned this is a WALK IN ONLY clinic. We usually go around 7:30am to get in line early to be seen. Typically we wait in the car but once you are seen, you will be there for a total of 15 minutes or less, including the check out process. Dr. Ravi and all of the other staff members are very friendly and caring.

I thank them so much for being patient and so kind! They treat your animals like they are your precious babies. They are also very thorough which I appreciated because my regular vet was not. Thank you all so so much!

My Dog had a major surgery and I was very satisfied and the Doctor explained everything in detail.

I had the best experience at Hurley Dog and Cat Hospital. The service was impeccable. The environment was clean and sanitized. Very welcoming, prices for service was reasonable and I felt confident that my pet was receiving quality care with a smile. I highly recommend. And I truly appreciate the walk in service!

Signing in first thing in the morning is a bit hectic, but the staff is excellent and considerate and prices are very affordable. Getting my two kittens their vaccine shots was a breeze after getting there early. Will definitely be going back!

Took the day off to take my cat to the vet to be told at 10am they're full and she can't be first appointment tomorrow. Worth paying extra to use a vet capable of caring for more than 6 pets a day.

I cannot thank Hurley’s veterinarians enough! I brought my pit bull in because he was sick, they advised me he needed to go to the emergency dog hospital, gave me a list of them and told me the visit was free. They helped me save my dogs life and I will forever be grateful ❤️❤️❤️

Dr.Ravi is very kind and friendly with my new furry baby .Being first time pet owner she took her time to explain and provide hand out on small breed puppy care .I will never go anywhere with my puppy and totally understand the wait time and limiting number of walk-in each day.Hurley dog and cat clinic is all about QUALITY CARE AND NOT QUANTITY.

Perfect place to bring your pet in time of need

Offers same day walk in service which is a huge plus given emergency situations and filled appointments at my regular vet. That said, there is a long wait given the walk in service and high volume of people wanting their pets to be seen. The staff is friendly and professional, and does a great job with the animals.
